가미마황탕(加味麻黃湯)이 흰쥐의 기관지(氣管支) 평활근(平滑筋) 수축성(收縮性)에 미치는 영향(影響) (The Effects of Gamimahwangtang(加味麻黃湯) extract on the Contraction of Isolated Rat Tracheal Smooth Muscle)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effects of Mahwangtang and Gamimahwangtang extract and its constituent herbs on the contractile force of rat tracheal smooth muscle treated with acetylcholine and to elucidate its mechanism. The results of this study were follows ; 1. Mahwangtang and Gamimahwangtang significantly inhibited the contractile response of isolated rat tracheal smooth muscle by acetylcholine, and Gamimahwangtang more significantly effects than Mahwangtang. 2. Gamimahwangtang without Ephedrae Herba significantly inhibited the contractile response of isolated rat tracheal smooth muscle by acetylcholine and less inhibited the contractile force than Gamimahwangtang. 3. Gamimahwangtang without Fritillariae Roylei Bulbus, Platycodi Radix, Cinnamomi Ramulus, significantly inhibited the contractile response of isolated rat tracheal smooth muscle by acetylcholine and less inhibited the contractile force than Gamimahwangtang. 4. Gamimahwangtang without Armeniacae Amarum Semen, Glycyrrhizae Radix significantly inhibited the contractile response of isolated rat tracheal smooth muscle by acetylcholine and its difference did not to the Gamimahwangtang. 5. Gamimahwangtang without Ginseng Radix significantly inhibited the contractile response of isolated rat tracheal smooth muscle by acetylcholine and more significantly effects than Gamimahwangtang.

도축돈의 생식기내 세균분리 동정 및 약제함수성시험 (Isolation, Identification and Drug Susceptibility of Bacteria from Genital Organs of Slaughter Sows)

  • This study was conducted to determine the microorganisms inhabitating in sow genital organs and their anti-microbial drug susceptibility During the period between February, 1991 and November 1991, 128 sow genital organs were sampled at six abattoirs. Gross pathological examination and bacterial isolation and identification were performed from the genital organ. In addition, antimicrobial drug susceptibility for the major organisms isolated were examined. 1. Among the bateria isolated from normal genital organs, E. coli(30.7%) Stahylococcus spp.(29.4%), Corynebarterium pyogenes(C. pyogenes) (14.7%), Streptococcus spp.(13.3%) were most freqently isolated, whereas the genera of Klebsiella, Actinobacillus, and Serratia were detected less freqently. 2. Among the bacteria isolated from abnormal genital organs, C. pyogenes,(37.7%), Stahylococcus spp.(30.2%), Proteus spp. (26.4%) , Pasteurella spp. (18.9%) , Steptococcus spp. (9.4%) were most freqently isolated whereas the genera of Pseudomonas, Serratia and Klebsiella were detected less freqently. 3. From sow genital organs showing lesion of endometritis and purulent endometritis C. pyogenes were most freqently isolated, the isolation rate being 67.7% and followed by Stahylococcus spp., E. coli, Proteus spp., Steptococcus spp. and Pasteurella spp. in the order. 4. Antimicrobial drug susceptibility of the major organisms showed that all the isolates were susceptible to cephalothin, ampicillin, chloramphenicol and sulfamethoxazole / trimethoprim, but resistant to penicillin and streptomycin.

Screening of Antioxidative Activity of Bifidobacterium Species Isolated from Korean Infant Feces and Their Identification

  • Among 59 Korean isolated, 20 were confirmed as members of the genus Bifidobaferium species based on gram staining, microscopic examination of cell morphology and the TLC method, The oxygen tolerance and antioxidative activities of these 20 Bifidobacterium strains and 5 standard Bifidobaferium strains were tested. All the strains demonstrated antioxidative activities as regards inhibiting linoleic acid peroxidation. The antioxidative activities of isolated and standard strains were found to range from 10.7-46.4% and from 10.7-22.2%, respectively. In addition, all tested strains exhibited a Scavenging ability on DPPH free radicals, range from 15-41% for the isolated strains and 8.3-22% for the standard strain. Accordingly. the isolated Bifidobarterium strains demonstrated higher antioxidative artivities than the 5 standa rd Bifidobarterium strains. On the base of grades for each test, HJL 7511 was identified 35 the best strain, followed by HJL 7501. 2 strains were identified with Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) assay using group-specific primers designed from the nucleotide Sequences of the 16S rRNA and internal transcribed spacer (ITS) regions of the Bifidobacteria. Based on the Sequencing results, HJL 7511 and HJL 7501 were identified as Bifidobacterium infantis.

산업체 작업환경의 실내 공기에서 미생물 오염도 (Microbiologic Pollution of Indoor Air in Industrial Work-Places)

  • This study was investigated to isolate identify the total bacteria and fungi from the indoor air of work-place of the shoes, paint, stainless steel, and plastic industries. The number of bacterial colonies on the nutrient agar plates were calculated by the open petridish method for 30 minutes in indoor air of work-places at the autumn and winter. The isolated bacteria were identified by Gram stain and biochemical test using API Staph and API 20E kits. The isolated fungal colonies were identified by gross appearance of the giant colonies and microscopic examination of their spore and hyphal characteristics on the slide culture method. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of several antibiotics against isolated bacteria was determined by the microdilution method with Mueller-Hinton broth. The 70-400 colonies in autumn and 54-236 colonies in winter were isolated from the indoor air of work-places of several industry. The isolation rates of Gram positive cocci, Gram positive bacilli, Gram negative bacilli, and Gram negative cocci were 46.3%, 19.8%, 17.3%, and 16.1%, respectively. In Gram positive cocci, the most strains were identified as Aerococcus spp, Micrococcus spp, and Staphylococcus spp. In Gram positive and negative bacilli, and Gram negative cocci were identified as Bacillus spp, Pseudomonas spp, and Neisseria spp, respectively. The frequently isolated fungi were Aspergillus spp, Penicillium spp and Rhizopus spp, respectively. The frequently isolated Aerococcus spp, Micrococcus spp, and Staphylococus spp were highly resistance against ampicillin, erythromycin, methicillin, and tetracycline. These results arouse our attention to microbiologic pollution in the indoor air of work-places of industries.

백서자궁(白鼠子宮)의 Adrenotropic Receptor에 관(關)한 추보(追補) (Supplemental studies on the adrenotropic receptors of the rat uterus)

  • Supplemental studies were made on the adrenotropic receptors of the rat uterus, using adrenergic activators such as phenylephrine, norepinephrine, epinephrine, and isoproterenol and adrenergic blocking agents such as phenoxybenzamine and inderal. The studies have revealed the following results : 1. Phenylephrine, norepinephrine, epinephrine, and isoproterenol inhibited the spontaneous motility of the isolated rat uterus in the following order : Isoproterenol>epinephrine>norepinephrine>phenylephrine. 2. The inhibitory responses of the isolated rat uterus to phenylephrine and epinephrine were abolished by the pretreatment with phenoxybenzamine. 3. The inhibitory responses of the isolated rat uterus to isoproterenol and epinephrine were not affected by phenoxybenzamine. 4. The motility of the isolated rat uterus pretreated with inderal was stimulated by phenylephrine, norepinephrine and epinephrine. 5. The inhibitory responses of the isolated rat uterus to isoproterenol were abolished by the pretreatment with inderal. 6. The motility of the isolated rat uterus pretreated with inderal and phenoxybenzamine was not affected by phenylephrine, norepinephrine and epinephrine. 7. It is, therefore, concluded that the rat uterus has both alpha excitatory and beta inhibitory receptors, with beta inhibitory receptors predominating.

동물원의 야생동물 분변에서 분리한 살모넬라균과 대장균의 생물형, 혈청형 및 약제내성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Bioserotype and Drug Resistance of Salmonella and Escherichia coli Isolated from Feces in Zoological Animals)

  • This study was undertaken the bioserotype and drug resistance of Salmonella and Escherichia coli isolated from feces for the prevention and treatment of salmonellosis and colibacillosis in zoological animals. The results obtained from the research were as follows 1. Salmonella were isolated 19, or 4.7% from 408 samples and E. coli were isolated 12, or 40.0% from 30 diarrheal samples. 2. The biotypes in 19 Salmonella were Subspecies 1. 3. The serogroups of Salmonella isolated were 47.4% in B group, 31.6% in C, 5.3% in D and 15.8% in other, and serotype of E. coli was 100% in 0127a. 4. The antibiotic resistance of Salmonella and E. coli isolated were 13, or 68.4% and 7, or 58.3% strains, respectively 5. The multiple resistant patterns of antibiotics in Salmonella were 2drugs- and 3 drugs-resistance 30.8%, respectively, and those in E. coli were mono drug-, 2 drugs- and 7 drugs-resistance 28.6%, respectively. 6. The transferred rate of resistance to recipients (E. coli ML 1410 NA$^{r}$ ) in Salmonella was 38.5%, but that in E. coli was 71.4%.

다중선형 회귀분석을 이용한 고립지역에서의 AADT 추정방안 연구 (Estimation of AADT Using Multiple Linear Regression in Isolated Area)

  • 본 연구에서는 고립지역의 과거 AADT 자료와 사회 경제지표를 활용하여 장래 AADT를 추정하였다. 과거 교통량 추이 활용 시와 사회 경제지표 활용 시 장래 AADT를 추정했으며, 사회 경제지표를 활용하여 다중회귀 분석방식을 통한 장래 AADT 추정 시 높은 설명력과 낮은 오차율을 보였다. 지리적 특성별 AADT에 미치는 사회 경제지표 분석 결과 고립일반지역은 다양한 사회 경제지표가 AADT에 영향을 미쳤으며, 고립해안지역은 유류가격과 연관성을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 고립지역의 장래 AADT 추정 모형은 $R^2$, MAPE 분석 시 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 이는 고립지역에서는 통과 교통량이 적고 교통량 변동이 적기 때문에 사회 경제지표를 활용한 장래 AADT 추정방식이 정확하다고 볼 수 있다.

Streptanthus tortus의 培養細胞로부터 사부 세포의 분리와 분리된 篩部 및 柔組織 細胞에서 설탕의 능동수송 (Isolation of Phloem Cells and Active Transport of Sucrose by Isolated Phloem and Parenchyma Cells of Streptanthus tortus Suspension Cultures)

  • Streptanthus 조직 배양 세포를 사용하여 사부를 순수분리 시키고, 분리된 사부에서 사부 하적에 대한 기작을 규명하기 위해 다음 연구를 하였다. 유조직 세포는 0.2% macerase 와 0.03% cellulase의 가수분해 효소로 처리하여 원형질체를 얻었고, 분화된 세포에서는 0.03% cellulase + 0.02% pectinase + 0.2% macerase + 0.025% rohamet PC로 가수분해시켜서 순수한 사부 세포와 사부 원형질체와 반세포의 원형질체를 분리하였다. 분리된 유조직 세포와 반세포의 원형질체에서는 단당류인 포도당을 수송시키나, 설탕은 수송시키지 못했다. 반면 분리된 사부 세포는 설탕을 능동수송 시키나 포도당은 수송시키지 못했다. 이는 설탕의 사부 하적은 반세포 없이도 가능하며, 반세포는 설탕 운반체가 없어서 설탕을 직접 수송할 수 있는 능력이 없다는 것을 보여주는 것이다. 그리고 사부 세포에서 설탕의 수송은 에너지대사에 의존하는 능동수송으로 나타났다.

농산물 생산 환경에서 분리된 Staphylococcus aureus의 항생제 내성 및 독소 유전자 확인 (Identification of Toxin Gene and Antibiotic Resistance of Staphylococcus Aureus Isolated from Agricultural Product Cultivation Environments)

  • Objectives: This study was undertaken to analyze Staphylococcus aureus from cultivation environments for agricultural products and to confirm antibiotic resistance and enterotoxin genes for the isolated S. aureus. Methods: A total of 648 samples were collected from apple, peach, ginseng and balloon flower farms. S. aureus was isolated from soil, agricultural water, personal hygiene elements (hands, gloves and clothes) and work utensils (boxes). Results: S. aureus was detected in a total of 25 samples and 72 strains were isolated. The resistance rate of the isolated S. aureus strains was confirmed at 33.3%, with 24 resistant strains among the total of 72. Fourteen different patterns types were found, and three pattern types (NV, OX, VA) were confirmed most frequently. As result of the detection of enterotoxin gene type, four gene types (sea: 1, sed: 4, seg: all isolated S. aureus, sei: all isolated S. aureus) were analyzed among a total of nine types. Conclusions: This study demonstrates that personal hygiene techniques should be properly managed, such as washing and sterilization before or after work, because agricultural contamination by S. aureus frequently developed through improper management.

한국 울릉도 근해의 비브리오속의 분리연구 (Studies on the Isolation of Vibrio Species from Sea Water and Marine Products at Ulleung Island of Korea in 1985)

  • Authors studies on the isolation of non-sucrose fermentation Vibrio species such as V. parahaemolyticus, V. vulnificus and V. damsela from sea water, shellfishes and various algae at Ulleung island in the east of Korea on summer in 1985. Authors carried out test for isolated strains to biochemical characteristics, halophilism, hemolysis and serological reaction. The results obtained were as follows: 1. Strains isolated from total specimens were 25 strains of V. parahaemolyticus, 2 strains of V. vulnificus and 1 strain of V. damsela, respectively. 2. Isolated frequency of Vibrio species from sea water and marine products was lower than on specimens in the southern sea of Korea from 1980 to 1985. 3. On hemolysis reaction on blood agar media using human and rabbit erythrocytes, 14 strains among 25 strains of V. parahaemolyticus isolated were positive, and V. vulnificus and V. damsela were positive, respectively. 4. The distributions of serotypes of V. parahaemolyticus isolated were from O1 group to O10 group, and from K 10 to K 69. The results of K serotypes were as follows ; serotype K 10 and K 33 were 2 strains, serotype K 59 and K 69 were 1 strain, respectively. And 2 strains of V. vulnificus isolated were not agglutinated by antiserum of V. vulnificus. Therefore, the probability is that 2 strains of V. vulnificus isolated were other serotypes distributed on sea weater and marine products of Ulleung island of Korea.
