몸체진동형 링레이저 자이로의 환산계수 오차 및 불규칙잡음 특성 (Scale Factor Error and Random Walk Characteristics of a Body Dither Type Ring Laser Gyro)

  • 본 논문에서는 몸체진동에 의하여 Lock-in을 보상해주는 링레이저 자이로의 환산계수 오차와 불규칙잡음 특성을 시뮬레이션에 의해서 예측하였다. 그리고 그 결과를 약 0.5deg/sec의 static Lock-in을 갖는 28cm인 4각형 링레이저 자이로에 대한 정적시험 결과와 비교하였다. 진폭이 일정한 정현파 몸체진동을 인가하는 경우에 자이로의 출력 펄스가 몸체진동 진동수의 정수배가 되는 지점에서 주기적으로 dynamic Lock-in이 발생한다. Dynamic Lock-in의 폭은 몸체진동의 진폭에 따라서 변화하는데, 입력가속도가 몸체진동 진동수의 짝수배 지점과 홀수배 지점에서 나타나는 dynamic Lock-in의 폭은 180도 위상차이를 가짐을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 dynamic Lock-in을 보상해주기 위하여 불규칙진동을 추가로 인가하는데 이 불규칙성이 작으면 dynamic Lock-in에 의한 환산계수 오차가 제거되지 않으며, 불규칙성이 커지면 환산계수 오차는 줄어들지만 불규칙 잡음이 상대적으로 커짐을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 불규칙 잡음은 몸체진동의 진폭이 클수록 작아짐을 확인하였다.

비정형 셀프센터링 가새골조의 비탄성 지진응답 (Inelastic Seismic Response of Asymmetric-Plan Self-Centering Energy Dissipative Braced Frames)

  • 최근 새로운 지진하중 저항시스템으로 셀프센터링(SCED) 가새 시스템이 개발되었다. 진보된 가새 시스템인 비좌굴 가새(BRB) 시스템과는 달리 큰 지진이 발생한 후 구조물의 잔류 변형을 줄이거나 없앨 수 있는 셀프센터링 능력은 SCED 가새 시스템의 장점이다. 본 논문에서는 SCED 가새와 BRB 가새 시스템의 거동에 비틀림의 영향을 조사하기 위하여 세 가지 다른 편심을 가진 3차원 구조물의 응답을 비선형 동적해석을 수행하여 비교하였다. 해석결과에 따르면 층간변위의 높이방향의 변화는 비정형성에 관계없이 SCED 가새골조의 응답이 BRB 가새골조보다 일정하였으며, 잔류 층간변위와 잔류 회전 응답은 비정형성이 증가함에 따라 감소하였다. 중층 구조물에서 SCED 가새골조의 변형집중계수(DCF)는 BRB 가새골조보다 작은 것으로 나타났다. 이것은 SCED 가새골조가 건물 높이에 따라 보다 일정하게 변형함을 의미한다. DCF의 크기에 대한 비틀림 비정형의 효과는 작았다.

확산체의 표면적 변화에 따른 흡음 및 확산계수 측정 (Measurements of scattering and absorption coefficients of diffusers with variation of surface area)

  • The absorption power of a surface depends on the surface irregularity which has been known as an important factor in determining scattering coefficient. This study investigates the effect of increase in surface area on the absorption and scattering coefficients of a diffuse surface. The surface irregularity or surface pattern can be compared to the wavelengths and the random-incidence scattering coefficient of surface is measured by ISO 17497-1. The scattering coefficients of increasing the surface area in linear pattern of v-cut groove on rubber plate were measured in 1:10 scale model reverberation chamber. It is found that the scattering and absorption coefficients increase with increasing surface area. At 60% of increased surface area the spacing between the hemisphere diffuser and the v-cut groove acts similar with results of absorption coefficient. The results show that absorption coefficient depends on surface area and the spacing where as scattering coefficient depends on surface area and texture.

Fundamental period of infilled RC frame structures with vertical irregularity

  • The determination of the fundamental period of vibration of a structure is essential to earthquake design. Current codes provide formulas for the approximate estimation of the fundamental period of earthquake-resistant building systems. These formulas are dependent only on the height of the structure or number of storeys without taking into account the presence of infill walls into the structure, despite the fact that infill walls increase the stiffness and mass of the structure leading to significant changes in the fundamental period. Furthermore, such a formulation is overly conservative and unable to account for structures with geometric irregularities. In this study, which comprises the companion paper of previous published research by the authors, the effect of the vertical geometric irregularities on the fundamental periods of masonry infilled structures has been investigated, through a large set of infilled frame structure cases. Based on these results, an attempt to quantify the reduction of the fundamental period due to the vertical geometric irregularities has been made through a proposal of properly reduction factor.

Behavior factor of vertically irregular RCMRFs based on incremental dynamic analysis

  • Behavior factor of a structure plays a crucial role in designing and predicting the inelastic responses of it. Recently, irregular buildings have been interested in many designers. To design irregular structures, recognizing the inelastic behavior of them is necessary. The main objective of this study is to determine the behavior factor of irregular Reinforced Concrete Moment Resisting Frames (RCMRFs) via nonlinear Incremental Dynamic Analysis (IDA). To do so, first, several frames are designed according to the regulations of the Iranian national building code. Then the nonlinear incremental dynamic analysis is performed on these structures and the behavior factors are achieved. The acquired results are compared with those obtained using pushover analysis and it is shown that the behavior factors acquired from the nonlinear incremental dynamic analysis are somewhat larger than those obtained from pushover analysis. Eventually, two practical relations are proposed to predict the behavior factor of irregular RCMRFs. Since these relations are based on the simple characteristics of frames such as: irregularity indices, the height and fundamental period, the behavior factor of irregular RCMRFs can be achieved efficiently using these relations. The proposed relations are applied to design of four new irregular RCMRFs and the outcomes confirm the accuracy of the aforementioned relations.

  • The fatigue damages in structural details of offshore plants can be accumulated due to various environmental loadings such as swell, wave, wind and current. It is known that load histories acting on mooring and riser systems show stationary and ergodic bimodal wide-banded process. This paper provides refined approach to obtain time signals representing stress range histories from wide-banded bimodal spectrum which consists of ideally narrow-banded and fully separated two spectrums. Variations of the probabilistic characteristics for time signals according to frequency and sampling time increments are compared with the reference data to be the probabilistic characteristics such as zero-crossing period, peak period, and irregularity factor obtained from an assumed ideal spectrum. It is proved that the sampling time increment more affects on the probabilistic characteristics than frequency increment. The fatigue damages according to the frequency and sampling time increments are also compared with the ones with minimum increment condition which are thought to be exact fatigue damage. It is concluded that the maximum sampling time increment to obtain reliable time signals should be determined that ratio of applied maximum sampling time increment and minimum period is less than approximately 0.08.

곡선부에서 탈선계수에 영향을 미치는 매개변수들에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Parameters Effecting on the Derailment Factor of Running Train on the Curved Track)

  • In this paper, Analysis of parameters effecting on the derailment factor was conducted in oder to deduce technical requisites have to be reflected in design of Track and rolling-stocks because it is important to grasp the risk of derailment quantitatively. And then go far toward becoming practical study with that select two section of sharp curved track of actual train in service, incheon Metro Line 1 and make field research in condition of vehicles and track and analysis As a result of parameter study, the following conclusions were obtained. The radius of curve and Cant is in inverse proportion to the derailment factor, but as train operation velocity, standard deviation of alignment irregularity and the ratio lateral force : wheel load of the inside track increase, the derailment factor rise. In the investigation for the derailment safety of incheon Metro Line 1, the derailment factor was below 0.43 in both section R=200 and R=300, so that it proved safe compare with allowance limits 0.8, but it appeared that risk of the derailment in second transition curve is the highest among the entire curve.

  • This paper presents a robust optimal design method for a periodic structure type of MEMS resonator that is vulnerable to mode localization. The robust configuration of such a MEMS resonator to fabrication error is implemented by changing the regularity of periodic structure. For the mathematical convenience, the MEMS resonator is first modeled as a multi pendulum system. The index representing the measure of mode variation is then introduced using the perturbation method and the concept of modal assurance criterion. Finally, the optimal intentional mistuning, minimizing the expectation of the irregularity measure for each substructure, is determined for the normal distributed fabrication error and its robustness in the design of MEMS resonator to the fabrication error is demonstrated with numerical examples.

탈선 안전성능 향상을 위한 매개변수에 관한 연구 (A study on the parameters to ensure safety against derailment)

  • Derailment is likely to have a direct connection with human life and must be eliminated. A traveling safety evaluation method based mainly on derailment coefficient has already established. But this method is very difficult because Derailment is caused by multiple factors. To evaluate the derailment factor of running train that runs on the curved track, we make use of mechanism that wheel loads and lateral forces were affected by track and rolling stock parameter. In this paper, deal with a search on the parameter and derailment factor. According to results of computer simulation value of Q/P, running safety is connected with operation velocity, curve radius, cant, track irregularity, suspension stiffness and static wheel load ratio, SMRT train Line No. 5 Bogie is selected to do numerical study considering rolling stock and track condition.
