An Enhanced System of Group Key Management Based on MIPUF in IoT (IoT 환경의 MIPUF 기반 그룹키 관리 시스템 개선)

  • With the emergence of the IoT environment, various smart devices provide consumers with the convenience and various services. However, as security threats such as invasion of privacy have been reported, the importance of security issues in the IoT environment has emerged, and in particular, the security problem of key management has been discussed, and the PUF has been discussed as a countermeasure. In relation to the key management problem, a protocol using MIPUF has been proposed for the security problem of the group key management system. The system can be applied to lightweight IoT environments and the safety of the PUF ensures the safety of the entire system. However, in some processes, it shows vulnerabilities in terms of safety and efficiency of operation. This paper improves the existing protocol by adding authentication for members, ensuring data independence, reducing unnecessary operations, and increasing the efficiency of database searches. Safety analysis is performed for a specific attack and efficiency analysis results are presented by comparing the computational quantities. Through this, this paper shows that the reliability of data can be improved and our proposed method is lighter than existing protocol.

  • The Internet of Things (IoT) is a new paradigm that is revolutionizing computing. It is intended that all objects around us will be connected to the network, providing "anytime, anywhere" access to information. This study introduces IoT with Kolb's learning style in order to enhance the learning experience especially for inclusive education for primary and secondary schools where delivery of knowledge is not limited to physical, cognitive disabilities, human diversity with respect to ability, language, culture, gender, age and of other forms of human differences. The article also emphasizes the role of learning style as a discovery process that incorporates the characteristics of problem solving and learning. Kolb's Learning Style was chosen as it is widely used in research and in practical information systems applications. A consistent pattern of finding emerges by using a combination of Kolb's learning style and internet of things where specific individual differences, learning approach differences and IoT application differences are taken as a main research framework. Further several suggestions were made by using this combination to IoT architecture and smart environment of internet of things. Based on these suggestions, future research directions are proposed.

  • This paper proposes the IoT based monitoring system to reservoir and erosion control dam that measure amount of contained water and amount of sediment by real time through unit volume block object modeling and support the related image. The proposed system is more effective in establishing a more accurate dredging plan and effectively managing efficient water management plans, and effectively preventing accidents such as landslides, etc.

  • Recently, the systems for managing the labs provide services that can be managed in real time by using various sensors based on IoT. The system collects sensor data and transmits it to the server, identifies the dangerous situation, and sends operation commands to the devices. These systems have a centralized structure that slows data processing when managing multiple laboratories. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a system that manages laboratories in distributed processing environment to identify and manage risk situations. The sensor module is used to control the laboratory and to automatically identify and respond to the dangerous situation.

  • The trend of Internet of things are changed from public and examples of corporate center to B2C service. As you can see, through the practice of domestic and international services Internet of Things, conventional disaster, disasters, such as the case of the public sector, factory automation company now mainly direct B2C (Business to Consumer) services are affecting the individual has spread. In this paper we propose a method of platforms and components, and network configuration plan for exploration robot design based on remote control and monitoring system with IoT.

  • The development of the industrial revolution can confirm the paradigm of manufacturing is changing from the mass production of small varieties to the form of small-scale production of many varieties. That is a form that can reduce the burden of indiscriminate raising of producers and a change in the industrial form that seeks to make up for the problems of the productivity portion that should change as modern society develops. Looking at the 3D printing environment, there are many problems in reaching the final stage of printing. The problem is not just the low-cost, low-end 3D Pirnter, but the high-priced 3D Printers released as finished products also show the same symptoms. This can cause anxiety factors in the printing process. Therefore, the research was conducted to compensate such problems. Based on the research, we propose the design of IoT beacon-based 3D Printer remote safety and quality control system targeting 3D Printer individual users.

A Study on the development of big data-based AI water meter freeze and burst risk information service (빅데이터 기반 인공지능 동파위험 정보서비스 개발을 위한 연구)

  • Freeze and burst water meter in winter causes many social costs, such as meter replacement cost, inability of water use, and secondary damage by freezing water. The government is making efforts to modernize local waterworks, and in particular, is promoting SWM(Smart Water Management) project nationwide. In this study suggests a new freeze risk notification information service based on the temperature by IoT sensor inside the water meter box rather than outside temperature. In addition, in order to overcome the quantitative and regional limitation of IoT temperature sensors installed nationwide, and AI based temperature prediction model was developed that predicts the temperature inside water meter boxes based on data acquired from IoT temperature sensors and other information. Through the prediction model optimization process, a nationwide water meter freezing risk information service was convinced.

  • IoT technologies have been rapidly developed in recent years, and applied to many industries. In the field of fisheries, the water quality management system have been developed, helping in improving productivity and working environment. In this paper, we have designed the smart feeding system, interoperable with the water quality system, using LPWA network. LPWA network is an IoT network, which is appropriate to fish farms because of its wide area coverages and low power consumption. We expect this work to contribute to developing the aquaculture technology through the big data analysis with the accumulated data.

  • 최근 산업 현장에서 재해는 설비의 다양화, 인적 구성의 복잡성, 작업환경의 변화 등으로 다양하게 발생되고 있다. 특히 경제적 자립도가 취약한 중소기업에서는 관리능력이 미흡하여 안전에 대한 조직 및 관리, 교육 등이 큰 문제점으로 대두되고 있다. 우리나라의 안전관리의 현실은 대기업 중심으로 이루어지고 있는 실정이나 재해율은 일본 등 주변국보다 2~4배 높은 수준으로 선진국에 비해 아직도 매우 심각한 문제이다. 한편, 환경과 재난방지, 헬스케어 등과 같은 분야에 널리 활용되고 있는 고도화된 IoT 기술은 최근 빌딩, 도시 관제 시스템뿐만 아니라 산업 현장의 설비와 인력관리 등 IoT 기술의 활용이 활발해지는 추세다. 본 논문에서는 IoT를 활용한 기술 개발을 통해 다양한 분야의 산업현장에 산재하고 있는 각종 위험인자를 포함하여 작업자의 근로 환경 정보를 영상 및 센싱 데이터를 이용하여 인지하고 작업자에게 현장 위해요인을 파악함으로써 합리적인 대책의 마련을 통해 작업자의 안전을 보장하고, 이와 더불어 업무지원 정보를 실시간으로 제공하여 인명피해의 감소, 작업능률과 생산성 향상을 야기할 수 있는 스마트 안전제어 및 원격 업무 지원을 위한 지능형 산업안전 관리 시스템을 개발하였다.

SPaRe: Efficient SQLite Recovery Using Database Schema Patterns

  • In recent times, the Internet of Things (IoT) has rapidly emerged as one of the most influential information and communication technologies (ICT). The various constituents of the IoT together offer novel technological opportunities by facilitating the so-called "hyper-connected world." The fundamental tasks that need to be performed to provide such a function involve the transceiving, storing, and analyzing of digital data. However, it is challenging to handle voluminous data with IoT devices because such devices generally lack sufficient computational capability. In this study, we examine the IoT from the perspective of security and digital forensics. SQLite is a light-weight database management system (DBMS) used in many IoT applications that stores private information. This information can be used in digital forensics as evidence. However, it is difficult to obtain critical evidence from IoT devices because the digital data stored in these devices is frequently deleted or updated. To address this issue, we propose Schema Pattern-based Recovery (SPaRe), an SQLite recovery scheme that leverages the pattern of a database schema. In particular, SPaRe exhaustively explores an SQLite database file and identifies all schematic patterns of a database record. We implemented SPaRe on an iPhone 6 running iOS 7 in order to test its performance. The results confirmed that SPaRe recovers an SQLite record at a high recovery rate.
