  • 특징 선택이란, 기계학습에서 분류 정확도를 향상시키기 위해서 많은 특징들을 분석해 가장 좋은 성능을 나타낼 수 있게끔 특징의 부분집합을 찾아내는 방법이다. 특징 선택 연구는 수십만개의 변수가 있는 데이터 세트를 이용하는 응용분야에서 주로 연구된다. 이러한 응용 분야는 주로 텍스트 처리, 유전자 배열 분석과 같은 고차원 데이터를 분석하는 분야이다. 또한, IoT 환경은 많은 데이터를 처리하기 때문에, 데이터 분류나 데이터의 가공을 위해서는 특징 선택 기법이 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 특징 선택 기법에 대해 설명하고, IoT 환경에서 특징 선택 기법을 제안한다.

  • These days, research has been made for a variety of internet of things (IoT) technologies over industrial fields. The current research trend includes the effective adoption of the IoT technologies. But, most IoT researches assume a relatively complicated structure, which consists of sensor devices, gateway, network server, and application server. Of course, the structure has distinct merits in the aspects of flexibility and expandability. However, the complicated structure causes the system implementation overhead including high-cost implementation, and hinders the practical usage of IoT in the industry areas, which require a small-size network. In this paper, we propose a novel IoT system architecture, which guarantees the small-size network and the low-cost implementation. Also, we implement the infrastructure, which includes the RF433-based sensor network, the ARDUINO-YUN based gateway, and the application server using Apache/PHP/MySQL (APM) package. Finally, we present the effective power management scheme among these components.

  • The Internet of Things(IoT) is to build a hyper-connected society through interconnection, and on this basis, to improve the quality of life and productivity, including solving social problems, and to become the next growth engine for the nation. The open common eco-system pursued by the IoT can start with the under- standing of the word 'open'. The IoT can achieve the expected effect of lowering the barriers to entry of technology development, and in these changes, OSSW and OSHW play a very important role in accelerating IoT eco-system maturity and breaking the boundaries between industries to promote convergence. Recently, it has developed into an intelligent IoT that combines artificial intelligence (AI) with the connectivity of the IoT. Here, I will analyze the direction of development of the IoT through understanding and analysis of open source.

  • Since the start of the 4th industrial revolution, technologies have been developed in the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality (VR), and 5G. Compared to other technologies IoT is currently being commercialized more than other technologies where the numbers of connected things are increases every year. The IoT has a huge advantage to provide convenience and lots of information to users, but security cannot keep up with the speed of development. IoT services continue to provide services for related devices, but at present, more and more types of new services are being combined with other technologies by utilizing the services of devices. This paper reviews and analyzes research on security issues and services related to the Internet of Things to explore how security trends and service delivery will develop in the future.

A Study of Research Trend about Internet of Things (사물인터넷(IoT)에 관한 국내 연구 동향 분석)

  • This study aims to examine the recent trend of domestic researches on the Internet of Things(IoT) which has drawn a lot of attention in the field of ICT. This meta-analysis analyzes 101 studies published in academic journals from 2010, focusing on research topics, methods and the fields of study. The results show that the research topics of most used studies were related to the technological and industrial issues, and especially in the technical field, the major topic was suggesting new IoT technology. The most research method was testing research followed by the literature review. Even though engineers are holding the mainstream of the IoT technology, some experts in the field of social science release their articles nowadays. These results indicate that the IoT has a great ripple effect both technologically and socioculturally, and researches need to be vitalized in the fields of industry, service, policy and institution as well as technological fields. In addition, the research for the future should extend methodological diversity and take more convergence approaches in a variety of fields.

Analyzing Technological Convergence for IoT Business Using Patent Co-classification Analysis and Text-mining (특허 동시분류분석과 텍스트마이닝을 활용한 사물인터넷 기술융합 분석)

  • With the rise of internet of things (IoT), there have been several studies to analyze the technological trend and technological convergence. However, previous work have been relied on the qualitative work that investigate the IoT trend and implication for future business. In response, this study considers the patent information as the proxy measure of technology, and conducts a quantitative and analytic approach for analyzing technological convergence using patent co-classification analysis and text mining. First, this study investigate the characteristics of IoT business, and characterize IoT business into four dimensions: device, network, platform, and services. After this process, total 923 patent classes are classified into four types of IoT technology group. Since most of patent classes are classified into device technology, we developed a co-classification network for both device technology and all technologies. Patent keywords are also extracted and these keywords are also classified into four types: device, network, platform, and services. As a result, technologies for several IoT devices such as sensors, healthcare, and energy management are derived as a main convergence group for the device network. For the total IoT network, base network technology plays a key role to characterize technological convergence in the IoT network, mediating the technological convergence in each application area such as smart healthcare, smart home, and smart grid. This work is expected to effectively be utilized in the technology planning of IoT businesses.

  • Internet of Things (IoT) is being globally spotlighted as a fundamental technology to realize hyper-connected society, and as new growth engines of nation and enterprises. Although the technical aspect of IoT receives a great deal of attention as a new business opportunity, the business aspect of IoT is suffering insufficient scholarly research and objective insight. Thus, the business aspect of IoT requires a thorough research on its service market and business opportunities. In order to stimulate the IoT service market and facilitate objective statistic data aggregation, this paper aims to suggest an IoT service categorization model. This model is comprised of three perspectives which are IoT purpose, IoT Player, and IoT Domain; they function as tools to comprehensively analyze the IoT industry. Efficacy of this model has been confirmed by simulating 117 IoT services on the model, in which the results successfully offered the market trend of the IoT service based on Case. This study is able to apply for basic research of IoT-Service Development Plan, and provide practical implications.

  • Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communication provides each component (machine) with access to Internet, evolving into the IoT technology. IoT is a trend where numbers of devices provide the communication service, using the Internet protocol. As spreading the concept of IoT(Internet of Things), various objects become home information sources. According to the wide spread of various devices, it is difficult to access data on the devices with unified manners. Under this environment, security is a critical element to create various types of application and service. In this paper propose the inter-device authentication and Centralized Remote Security Provisioning framework in Open M2M environment. The results of previous studies in this task is carried out by protecting it with the latest information on M2M / IoT and designed to provide the ultimate goal of future M2M / IoT optimized platform that can be integrated M2M / IoT service security and security model presents the information.

  • The increase in single-person households and the development of Home IoT technology make it important to improve the convenience of the residential environment. In addition, the increase in indoor activities caused by COVID-19 calls for the development of products to make life more convenient for single-person households. This trend of increased indoor activity has made it easier to interact with the current residential environment than before, and as a result, the need to develop technology for Home IoT is emerging. Therefore, the Home IoT system will be developed to monitor the information needed to maintain an ideal indoor environment such as temperature, humidity, and fine dust. The system will also interact with users, and propose a system that improves safety in indoor activities by equipping the home with IoT sensors for preventing safety accidents such as gas leakage and fire.

  • Hearing-impaired people are increasing rapidly due to the global aging trend. Early detection of hearing loss requires an easy-to-use audiometry device for the public. Existing audiometry systems were developed as PC-based, PDA-based, or smartphone apps. These devices were often dependent on specific software platforms and hardware platforms. In this paper, we tried to improve software platform compatibility by using cross platform, and tried to implement IoT-based pure tone audiometry device which does not require sound pressure level correction due to hardware differences. Pure tone audiometry is available in a variety of ways depending on the type of hearing loss and age. Using the IoT-based audiometry device implemented in this paper, it will be possible for an app developer who lacks hardware knowledge to easily develop an app with various scenarios for hearing screening. The results of this study will contribute to overcoming the software and hardware dependency in the development of IoT-based healthcare device.
