  • In modern times, many IoT products are being used as all things and devices are connected to the Internet and IoT products become easily accessible through the network. For the convenience of users, IoT products can be remotely operated automatically without manual operation. Various research and development are underway to improve the convenience of users by using IoT products. However, since only the convenience of the users is pursued, in terms of security, there is a serious problem that exposes the user's personal information. This paper has proposed a method to apply $moir{\acute{e}}$ technology to IoT products in order to improve the performance of security, and a method to increase the safety of IoT products using user face authentication based on shadow $moir{\acute{e}}$ as a $moir{\acute{e}}$ phenomenon method, and the projection $moir{\acute{e}}$. When comparing the existing IoT products and IoT products applied with $moir{\acute{e}}$ technology, IoT products applied with $moir{\acute{e}}$ technology are safer in terms of security.

  • Because security of Internet of Things(IoT) products and others is poor, there are many hacking incidents To prevent security threats, it is important for companies to first make products with high security levels and choose products that are safe for users. In response, the Korea Internet & Security Agency is testing the security of IoT products and linked mobile apps to impose ratings. Security certification service is a service that tests IoT products and linked mobile apps to ensure certain levels of security and issues certificates when they meet the criteria. It can induce autonomous security enhancement of IoT products, contribute to strengthening security capabilities of IoT companies in Korea and vitalizing their overseas advancement, and have the expected effect of resolving public anxiety over IoT products. In this study, the criteria for IoT security certification are presented, but the importance priority is sought to be derived for assessment items that need to be strengthened. This will help to provide guidelines that can contribute to strengthening the security capabilities of domestic Internet companies and boosting their overseas advancement.

  • Recently, frozen and refrigerated appliances on the market are being released with additional IoT functions, but there are few tests on IoT functions. In particular, the existing test system does not have IoT test items for IoT-based frozen and refrigerated appliances, making it difficult for companies to find the cause even if defects occur, and test institutions are also restricted from selecting IoT-related test items and conducting correct performance tests. In this paper, we design a test item framework that can identify product defects and identify causes in the performance test process of frozen and refrigerated products with IoT functions among products in the home appliance field, and propose test methods and management measures using them. Through the proposed research, manufacturers and testing institutions can test the correct performance of IoT-based frozen and refrigerated products, thereby enhancing the completeness and securing reliability of the products.

  • Purpose: This research focused on the fact that the Internet platform is integral to IoT products such as Smart home and studied consumer buying decisions when products are sold bundled with internet service. Contrary to the sales strategies of telecommunication companies, some companies sell IoT products alone, for example Google, Kakao, and Naver. In this market situation, the sales strategies of Korean telecommunication companies were analyzed with bundling theory and technology acceptance model, then it was conducted to figure out which sales and distribution strategies could affect consumers' purchase behavior. Research design, data, methodology: Data was collected by149 questionnaires from groups who are familiar with IoT smart home systems, then exploratory factor analysis and regression were used to analyze the research model. Results: The results revealed that the perceived ease of use and the perceived usefulness affect the purchase intention of IoT-based products; however, this effect was not found in the case of bundled products. In other words, it is found that selling and distributing Internet services and IoT products together does not affect consumers' purchases. Conclusion: It is suggested that Korean telecommunications companies' existing sales and distribution strategies for IoT products need to be changed according to its characteristics.

  • This paper proposes a positive experience design approach for Internet of Things (IoT) intelligent products to improve users' subjective well-being in the fields of artificial intelligence and big data. First, the authors selected six target users and taking the Xiaomi IoT intelligent products for the research objects and conducted a thorough observation on how the target users used IoT intelligent products in their own homes over two weeks via a home-visiting interview, group diary, and focus group. Second, they constructed an individual activities table for the participants' IoT intelligent product experience using a hierarchical task analysis (HTA). Third, two researchers sorted out the sub-tasks of happiness in the HTA table. Finally, the authors found the positive experience design approach of IoT intelligent products. The positive experience design approach of IoT intelligent products is proposed from focusing on the personal pleasure experience to individual life meaningful design and group social relationship design, including individual pleasure experience, personal goal realization, group needs satisfaction and the harmony of group relations. The paper uses the two design examples of an interactive kettle and a harmonious chair to further discuss the feasibility of the design approach. In the era of big data, it is helpful for designers to use this design approach to improve the users' sense of sustainable pleasure, achievement perception of their future goal realization, and the well-being of the group's social relationships.

  • Recently, many laundry home appliances have been released with Internet of Things (IoT) functions, but there are few quality evaluation tests for IoT functions. In particular, since IoT test items are not prepared for laundry home appliances applied with IoT functions, it is difficult to find the cause even if defects occur, and test institutions are limited in selecting test items related to IoT and conducting proper performance tests. In this paper, we design a test item framework that separates IoT test items into commonality and variability to identify product defects and causes for laundry home appliances with IoT features among products in the field of home appliances. Through the proposed research, manufacturers and test institutions can test the proper performance of laundry products with IoT functions, which can improve the completeness of the products and ensure reliability.

  • Today many companies are offering IoT-enabled products and place emphasis on security from the planning stage to protect their products and user information from external threats. The present security levels, however, remain low because the time and resources invested in developing security requirements for each device are far from enough to meet the needs of a wide range of IoT products. Nevertheless, vulnerabilities of IoT devices have been reported continuously, which calls for more detailed security requirements for home IoT devices. In this context, this research identified threats of home IoT systems by using Microsoft Threat Modeling Tool. It then suggested measures to enhance the security of home IoT devices by developing security assessment items through comparative analysis of the identified threats, domestic and global vulnerability assessment standards and related research. It also verified the effectiveness of the developed security requirements by testing them against the existing ones, and the results revealed the security requirements developed in this research proved to be more effective in identifying vulnerabilities.

  • The Internet of Things (IoT) environment has been gradually approaching reality, and although it provides great convenience, security threats are increasing accordingly. For the IoT environment to settle safely, careful consideration of information security is necessary. Although many security measures in the design and development stages of IoT products have been studied thus far, apart from them, the establishment of systems and countermeasures for post management after the launch of IoT products is also very important. In the present paper, a technical and policy post-security management framework is proposed to provide secure IoT environments. The proposed framework defines the concrete response procedures of individual entities such as users, manufacturers, and competent authorities in the case of the occurrence of security flaws after launching IoT products, and performs appropriate measures such as software updates and recalls based on an assessment of the risk of security flaws.
