Korean construction industry made a huge growth over several decades. However, domestic construction market has shrunk in recent years due to the domestic political environments and global economic crisis. Today, the international construction markets become more important to be investigated, and demands for international construction study have risen. The purpose of this study is to search for measures to compare the potential of Southeast Asian countries' construction markets and select strategic target countries where the Korean construction companies pursue to explore for future investments. The research team investigated a range of selection factors which can represent the construction market condition of each country. These factors included the size of the construction industry, economic growth potential, current relationship with Korea, the level of infrastructure development, political situation, etc. After collecting data, each selection factor was scored by experts' analyses and the total score was given to each country. As a result, the rating identified attractive countries for future investments: Myanmar, Vietnam, and Sri Lanka. For the target countries, analytical methods were used for in-depth market analysis that can provide comprehensive insight and strategic clue for development of short-/mid-/long-term roadmap and action plans. The research findings would be used to support rational decision making of construction investment advancing to the Southeast Asian economic growth.

Purpose: In an increasingly globalized world, foreign direct investment (FDI) plays an essential role in the economic improvement of countries. This study aims to delve into the topic of overseas direct investment (FDI) and offer a complete analysis of its strategic advantages and disadvantages. By thoroughly examining the present literature, this study aims to discover and explore the diverse advantages and drawbacks. Research design, data and methodology: The information analysis system systematically and rigorously examined the selected studies. The evaluation will follow a thematic technique in which conventional subject matters and styles associated with FDI's strategic benefits and downsides can be recognized and synthesized. Data extraction contained relevant facts from the chosen research, along with the study objectives. Results: This study provides the findings of the, which explores the strategic advantages and disadvantages of foreign direct investments (FDI) primarily based on the evaluation of previous research. A comprehensive review of the identified benefits and drawbacks highlights their implications for businesses engaged in FDI. Conclusions: In sum, the findings offer valuable insights for practitioners, guiding their decision-making methods in the international commercial enterprise landscape. Organizations can function for fulfillment and sustainable development in the global marketplace by leveraging the advantages and effectively managing demanding situations.

With the advancement of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), the metaverse has emerged as a transformative model across various sectors, offering a three-dimensional virtual world where activities mirroring the real world occur. This study delves into the significant factors influencing fashion brand companies' investments in the metaverse, an evolved concept from Virtual Reality (VR) that extends beyond gaming to include real-life activities through avatars. This study highlights the surge in virtual fashion engagements, as evidenced by increased avatar updates and purchases of digital fashion items on platforms like Roblox. Luxury brands are steadily entering the metaverse indicating a new revenue stream within the fashion industry. This study employs a mixed-methods approach, integrating text mining and interviews to identify key factors for fashion companies considering metaverse investments. By proposing strategies based on these findings, this study not only enriches academic discourse in fashion, e-commerce, and information systems but also serves as a guideline for fashion companies aiming to navigate the burgeoning digital market, contributing to the generation of new revenue streams in the fashion sector.

Korean aviation authority required air service providers to submit public disclosure of aviation safety investment to encourage proactive and voluntary safety investments. In 2023, two airport operators and seventeen airlines disclosed their safety investment results and plans for the first time. This study aims to examine and analyze the current status of the disclosure system, identify insights for its development, and set directions for the future. Safety investments by airport operators decreased by 14.3% in 2022 compared to 2021 due to decreased aviation demand. Airline increased their safety investment by 46% to 4 trillion won, investing heavily in MRO and aircraft replacement, leading to a decrease in the average fleet age by 0.8 years. FSCs have shown a significantly higher level of safety investment compared to LCCs. However, LCCs show higher safety investment relative to revenue. It is necessary to consider the characteristics of each operator as well as the scale when comparing safety investments. A roadmap is suggested based on the importance of disclosure items for the strategic approach and improvement measures for the aviation safety investment disclosure system.

외국인 투자의 증가가 국내기업의 배당에 미치는 영향에 대하여 선행연구에서 상이한 결과들을 제시하고 있는데 이는 실증분석의 방법에서 배당을 측정하는 변수로 상이한 변수들이 사용되었으며, 분석 방법론 측면에서 외국인투자와 배당수준 간의 인과관계의 방향을 통제하지 않았다는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 기존문헌들이 가지는 한계점을 최대한 보완하여 코스닥시장 신규상장기업을 대상으로 하여 외국인 투자와 배당수준간의 인과관계의 방향성 문제를 극복하고 배당수익률을 종속변수로 하여 분석함으로써 앞에서 제기한 우려에 대한 답을 제시하고자 하였다. 먼저 전체표본을 사용하는 경우, 배당수익률은 외국인투자와 유의한 관계를 보이지 않았으며 이와 같은 결과는 기존 문헌의 연구결과와 유사한 것이다. 그리고 외국인투자가 발생하기 이전에 배당금을 지급했던 표본기업을 대상으로 한 패널분석에서도 외국인 투자가 배당수익률에 유의하게 영향을 미치지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 이는 외국인 투자자들이 배당을 지급하는 기업에 대한 선호현상으로 인하여 외국인투자는 배당수준에 영향을 미치지 않았음을 보여주는 결과이다. 그러나 외국인 투자가 발생하기 이전에 배당을 지급했던 기업을 제외한 표본에 대한 패널분석결과에 의하면 외국인투자는 배당수준 변수 즉 배당수익률이 유의하게 정의 관계에 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 배당을 지급하는 기업에 대한 외국인 투자자의 선호현상을 통제하는 경우, 외국인 투자자들이 국내 코스닥기업에 배당수준에 대하여 유의한 영향을 미친다는 결과를 보여주는 것이다. 특히 기존의 연구에서 유의하게 나타나지 않았던 배당수익률이 외국인의 배당지급 기업에 대한 선호현상을 통제하였을 때 유의하게 나타난 본 연구의 결과는 상당히 의미가 있는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 이는 외국인지분이 증가 할수록 전체이익 중 배당액이 차지하는 비중이 증가하고 시기총액대비 현금배당이 증가함을 의미함으로 외국인투자자가 단기적 이익에 집착하여 고배당을 유도한다는 주장이 성립하는 것으로 볼 수 있다.

우리나라의 해운업은 2011년 실질 지배선대 기준으로 5천 5백만톤(DWT)를 소유함으로서 그리스, 일본, 독일, 중국에 이어 세계 5위를 차지하고 있으며, 연간 300억불 이상의 운임수입을 벌어들임으로써 경상수지 개선에도 기여하는 중요한 산업이다. 또한 물동량 처리측면에서 수출입물동량의 99% 이상을 수송하는 국가 기간산업이다. 지난 10여년 사이에 우리나라 외항선대는 420척에서 979척으로 대폭 증가하여 향후 전망을 밝게 하고 있다. 선행연구를 분석해보면 이처럼 우리나라 외항상선대가 크게 증가한 원인으로 2004년 선박투자회사제를 통한 선박펀드의 도입, 2005년 톤세제 도입 등의 단편적인 요소에 의한 것으로 제시되고 있다. 하지만 해운기업이 선박투자에 관한 의사결정을 할 때 어떤 요인들을 주로 고려하고, 또한 정부지원 정책 중 어떤 정책에 대한 영향을 크게 느끼고 있는지에 대한 분석은 제한적이었다. 이러한 측면에서 해운기업의 투자의사결정 시 중요한 요소 8가지와 정부의 해운정책 8가지에 대하여 퍼지방법론을 사용하여 중요도 분석을 수행하였다. 먼저, 해운기업의 투자의사결정 시 중요한 요소 8가지측면에서는 '해운시황 및 향후 전망', '현재 선가 및 향후 전망', '화물확보와 향후 수익 전망' 등을 가장 중요한 요인으로 고려하여 의사결정을 하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 정부의 정책측면에서는 '정책금융기관의 금융지원', '해운보증기금' 및 '선박금융공사의 설립' 등 선박금융 관련 정책을 중요한 요인으로 인식하고 있는 것으로 분석되었다.

최근 기업의 개인정보 유출 사고와 관련한 금전적 손실이 점차 증가추세에 있으며 대외 이미지 손실 등의 간접적 피해도 무시 못 할 상황이 되었다. 이 같은 피해를 줄이기 위해서 개인정보보호투자에 대한 필요성이 증대되고 있다. 개인정보보호에 대한 투자가 활성화되기 위해서는 개인정보보호투자의 비용효과 분석 및 정성적 효과분석이 모두 반영된 성과측정 방법이 필요하다. 하지만 현재 국내외 개인정보보호 투자 성과측정에 관한 연구는 매우 미흡한 상황이다. 본 연구에서는 정량적 및 정성적 성과측정이 가능한 개인정보보호투자 모델을 제시하였다. 이를 위해 정보 보호투자 및 IT 투자성과측정 관련 기존 연구의 비교분석을 수행하였고, 개인정보보호 특성과 현실적용 가능성 측면을 고려하여 정량적 및 정성적 측정이 모두 가능한 WiBe 접근 방법론을 선택하였다. WiBe 방법론을 기반으로 개인정보보호 투자에 적절한 성과측정 모델과 16개의 성과측정 지표를 제시하였다. 특히, 정량적 효과측정에서 사전위협평가방법을 기반으로 기업 및 조직의 성격에 따른 개인정보보호의 투자의사 결정이 가능한 방법을 제시하였다. 포커스 그룹 인터뷰를 통한 성과 측정 지표의 검토 결과, 성과측정 지표는 실현 가능성 및 중요성 측면에서 모두 의미 있는 것으로 판명되었다.
