전기추진선박의 추진용으로 사용되는 브러시리스 직류전동기의 제 어방법에 따른 성능향상에 관한 연구 (Control Method for Performance Improvement of BLDC Motor used for Propulsion of Electric Propulsion Ship)

  • 직류전동기는 속도제어가 간단하고, 출력 토크특성이 우수한 장점으로 윈치나 카고 펌프 모터 등으로 선박에서 많이 사용되었으며, 전기추진선박이 도입된 초기에는 선박용 추진전동기로도 적용되었다. 하지만 브러시와 정류기와 같은 기계적 정류장치의 단점으로 인해 최근에는 직류전동기와 전기적인 특성은 매우 유사하지만 기계적인 정류장치를 설치하지 않고 반도체 소자를 이용한 전자적인 정류장치를 사용하는 브러시리스 직류전동기의 사용이 증가하고 있다. 기존의 브러시리스 직류전동기를 구동하기 위한 인버터 시스템은 2상여자방식을 사용하므로 역기전력파형이 사다리꼴모양으로 되며, 이로인해 전류가 흐르는 권선이 바뀌는 상전류 전환 구간에서 고조파와 토크리플이 발생하게 된다. 이러한 고조파와 토크리플을 저감하기 위한 다양한 방안이 연구되어 발표되었으며, 본 연구에서는 전력분석프로그램을 이용하여 브러시리스 직류전동기의 구동회로에 비례적분 속도전류제어기 알고리즘을 구현한 Cascaded H-Bridge 멀티레벨 인버터를 적용하였다. 모델링한 브러시리스 직류전동기의 시뮬레이션을 통해 제안하는 전동기의 구동방식을 적용하는 경우에 기존의 구동방식에 비해 전동기 입력측 전압파형 개선과 고조파 및 토크리플이 현저히 저감되는 결과를 확인할 수 있었다.

  • The power conversion converter for driving the wireless power transfer system is can be into the two part of the DC power conversion rectifier and the high frequency dc-ac power conversion inverter. In this paper, The operating characteristics of the Class-${\Phi}_2$ resonant inverter have been investigated through by simulation and by experiment. It can be switched at a high frequency without the switching losses and the harmonics are reduced effectively due to the input LC filter. Its switching frequency is 1MHz and the input voltage is 96V which is the output voltage of LLC resonant converter. And its output peak voltage is 170V. The resonant inverter module operated at the commercial power source of 220V was built. And also the electromagnetic coupled resonance coils were designed for wireless power transfer with a 1MHz operating frequency. As a experimental result, the wireless power transmission was confirmed and it is varified the validity of the experiment.

  • This paper presents a dynamics failure detection algorithm developed for the two-motor-driven electric vehicle system. The algorithm is based on the application of the fault detection filter. The fault detection includes the identification of sudden pressure drops of the two rear tires in driving axis and dynamics faults of the two inverter-motor-paired actuators An E.V. dynamics simulator is developed, which includes the modeling of the E.V. dynamics as well as the driving dynamics. The simulator, which allows the generation of various fault situations, is utilized in the verification of the developed fault detection algorithm. The results of the simulations are also presented.

  • In this paper, a study on the controller for high speed PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchro-nous Motor) is described. PMSM can be driven over 50,000 rpm because it has no brush and commutator structure. It also has less EMI noise and easy cooling structure compare to the other motors. The controller was designed to have a capability to drive 20kw, 42,000rpm high speed motor system. A senseless vector control method was studied based on d-q conversion theory to have a high driving efficiency. The control board was designed using TMS320C33 and the performance was verified by experimental results on driving the inverter and motor system.

Precise Braking Torque Control for Momentum Flywheels Based on a Singular Perturbation Analysis

  • Momentum flywheels are widely applied for the generation of small and precise torque for the attitude control and inertial stabilization of satellites and space stations. Due to its inherited system nonlinearity, the tracking performance of the flywheel torque/speed in dynamic/plug braking operations is limited when a conventional controller is employed. To take advantage of the well-separated two-time-scale quantities of a flywheel driving system, the singular perturbation technique is adopted to improve the torque tracking performance. In addition, the composite control law, which combines slow- and fast- dynamic portions, is derived for flywheel driving systems. Furthermore, a novel control strategy for plug braking dynamics, which considers couplings between the Buck converter and the three-phase inverter load, is designed with easy implementation. Finally, experimental results are presented to demonstrate the correctness of the analysis and the superiority of the proposed methods.

  • 본 논문에서는 교류 서보 전동기 PI 전류제어를 위한 주요 시스템 파라미터인 상저항과 상인덕턴스를 측정하는 방법을 제시한다. 서보 전동기 전류제어를 위한 PI 제어이득은 주요 계통 파라미터인 권선간 저항과 인덕턴스 정보를 활용하여 튜닝하는 자동적 방법이 기본적으로 사용된다. 본 연구에서는 이 두 파라미터를 3상 인버터 제어를 통해 계측하는 방법을 제시한다. 이 제어 및 계측 방법은 3상 인버터를 이용하여 3상 권선에 비례입력 만을 이용하는 스텝 전류제어를 수행하고 그 결과로 얻어진 출력 상전류를 측정함으로써 구현된다. 더불어 이 방법은 권선간 인덕턴스 계측을 위해 특정 스위칭모드에서의 인버터 자연-순환(freewheeling) 전류를 이용한다. 이 인버터 제어를 이용하는 측정 방법은 새로운 추가 계측 회로 및 복잡한 계측 알고리즘을 사용하지 않고 실시간으로 파라미터들을 계측 및 연산할 수 있는 해석적 방법이다. 실제 전동기 제어에 사용되어지는 구동기 회로를 그대로 사용하면서 스위칭소자의 도통저항과 각종 결선 저항을 포함하는 합성 저항 및 인덕턴스를 계측할 수 있는 방법이다.

GaN HEMT를 적용한 3kW급 계통연계 태양광 인버터의 방열 설계 및 개발 (Development of a 3 kW Grid-tied PV Inverter With GaN HEMT Considering Thermal Considerations)

  • A 3 kW grid-tied PV inverter with Gallium nitride high-electron mobility transistor (GaN HEMT) for domestic commercialization was developed using boost converter and full-bridge inverter with LCL filter topology. Recently, many GaN HEMTs are manufactured as surface mount packages because of their lower parasitic inductance characteristic than standard TO (transistor outline) packages. A surface mount packaged GaN HEMT releases heat through either top or bottom cooling method. IGOT60R070D1 is selected as a key power semiconductor because it has a top cooling method and fairly low thermal resistances from junction to ambient. Its characteristics allow the design of a 3 kW inverter without forced convection, thereby providing great advantages in terms of easy maintenance and high reliability. 1EDF5673K is selected as a gate driver because its driving current and negative voltage output characteristics are highly optimized for IGOT60R070D1. An LCL filter with passive damping resistor is applied to attenuate the switching frequency harmonics to the grid-tied operation. The designed LCL filter parameters are validated with PSIM simulation. A prototype of 3 kW PV inverter with GaN HEMT is constructed to verify the performance of the power conversion system. It achieved high power density of 614 W/L and peak power efficiency of 99% for the boost converter and inverter.

A Protection Circuit for the Power Supply of a Gas Discharge Lamp

  • In order to drive gas discharge lamps, DC-AC converters with a LCC resonant tank, whose output voltage is adjusted by a variable frequency control are frequently used. However, when they are activated by varying the operating frequency, converters are frequently damaged by unstable operation, due to the rising and falling of the operating frequency near the resonant frequency. To solve this problem, a simple protection circuit for the power supply of a gas discharge lamp is proposed in this paper. This circuit senses the primary current of the main transformer. Using this protection circuit, the operating frequency of the lamp driving inverter system is kept close to and on the right side of the resonant frequency and the inverter is always operated in the ZVS condition. The resulting stable variable frequency operation allows various gas discharge lamps to be tested without the risk of damaging the main switches, because the protection circuit can protect the power MOSFETs of bridge converters from abnormal conditions. The validity and effectiveness of the proposed protection circuit are verified through the experimental results.

LTPO 소자의 머신 러닝 모델 개발 (Development of Machine Learning Model of LTPO Devices)

  • We propose the modeling methodology of CMOS inverter made of LTPO TFT using a machine learning. LTPO can achieve advantages of LTPS TFT with high electron mobility as a driving TFT and IGZO TFT with low off-current as a switching TFT. However, since the unified model of both LTPS and IGZO TFTs is still lacking, it is necessary to develop a SPICE-compatible compact model to simulate the LTPO current-voltage characteristics. In this work, a generic framework for combining the existing formula of I-V characteristics with artificial neural network is presented. The weight and bias values of ANN for LTPS and IGZO TFTs is obtained and implemented into PSPICE circuit simulator to predict CMOS inverter. This methodology enables efficient modeling for predicting LTPO TFT circuit characteristics.

  • This study purposes are improvement of system (lamp & ballast) efficacy with and optical characteristics through the developed ceramic arc tube. The designed electronic ballast is substituted for conventional magnetic ballast. These electric signal and optical, thermal characteristics through the improving efficacy of lighting system compared with conventional magnetic ballast. properties of lamp by driving method is researching in ballast. Particularly, electronic ballasts, which improved against weakness of Magnetic Ballast, are researching and applying to control of ceramic metal-halide lamp. but One major limitation is the acoustic resonance problem in CMH lamps at high-frequency operation. In order to avoid acoustic resonance, driving frequency decided 21[kHz]. Before discharge in this paper. The PSpice simulation result obtained sufficient voltage gain and the ignition voltage obtained over 3[kV] at 75[kHz]. After discharge, driving voltage obtained approximately 90[Vrms] at 21[kHz].
