Result of Multiphasic Personality Inventory among Myasthenia Gravis in Late Adolescence Visiting for Conscription Examination (군신체검사를 받은 후기 청소년에서 중증근무력증의 다면적 인성검사 결과)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to quantitatively assess the degree of myasthenia gravis (MG) affecting mental health through the results of multiphasic military personality inventory in late adolescence. Methods : We collected and analyzed the results of the military personality inventory for healthy controls and MG patients among the 19-year-old men who visited the Military Manpower Administration from February 2007 to January 2010. Military personality inventory invented for Korean military test has similar system to Minnesota multiphasic personality inventory. Results : Among validity scales, each score of faking good, faking bad and infrequency subscales showed no difference between healthy control and MG groups, respectively (t=-0.51, p=0.607 ; t=0.11, p=0.913 ; t=1.41, p=0.158). Among neurosis scales, the score of somatization subscale was higher (t=2.29, p=0.023) in MG group. Among psychopath scales, the score of schizophrenia subscale was lower in MG group (t=-2.38, p=0.018). Conclusions : According to MPI results, we can confirm that MG patients in late adolescence may be more concerned with their somatic symptoms than the control group, and that they may be more likely to abide by the regulation and be conventional in their behavior than the control group.

  • We study a multi-component production/inventory system in which individual components are made to meet various demand types. We assume that the demands arrive according to a Poisson process, but there is a fixed probability that a demand requests a particular kit of different components. Each component is produced by a flow line with several stations. The production of each component is operated by the CONWIP control mechanism. To analyse this system, we propose an approximation method based on aggregation method. In application of the aggregation method, a product-form approximation technique as well as a matrix-geometric method is used. Comparisons with simulation show that the approximation method provides fairly good results.

  • A major challenge to supply chain managers is how to control inventories and costs along the supply chain while maximizing customer service Performance. In the literature, although the optimal management of inventory along the supply chain has received considerable attention during the past decades, the attention has been mainly given to multi-echelon control policies. A prerequisite for applying these policies is full information transparency in the supply chain, which is hard to accomplish in practice because it may require major organizational chanties. In the case that a decentralized control (local (R, S) policy) should be used at each location in multi-stave distribution systems, this paper presents the coordinating approach of determining the best policy which satisfies predetermined target customer service levels and minimizes the mean physical stock along the system.

  • We consider a two-tier supply chain with multiplicative random yield. We focus on the supply chain performance with respect to the control scheme of determining the production lot size. The profit loss due to distributed control is analyzed to give an insight for devising efficient supply contracts.

  • The purpose of this thesis is to overcome the shortcomings of the existing system which lacks cost-conciousness and does not consider the essentiality or the importance of an item, and to seek the method of providing effective, efficient and economic supply which is the objective of the military inventory management. Selective management technique and lot size model whose demand, and order and shipping time are distributed, are intorduced, and required distributions and parameters are analyzed. Finally hypothetical data are utilized to obtain the model output, which are compared with the existing model and analyzed.

Optimum Water Quality Contral of River Basin by Linear Programming (선형계획법에 의한 하천유역의 최적수질관리)

  • In this paper, a linear programming was used for determining the optimum efficiency required of each wastwater treatment facility and minimum total treatment casts in order to meet any set of stream dissolved oxygen standards within a river basin. The optimum solution of water quality control which was obtained with the inventory equation of Camp-Dobbins' equation incorporated into the constraints of linear programming was compared with that of Streeter-Phelps' equation. It can be concluded that correlation coefficient was 0.997. Then the linear programming incorporating the inventory equation of selected streeter-Phelps equation was used in order to obtain the optimum solution of water quality control based on data form the Nakdong River.

  • The purposes of this paper is to study the characteristics of compared to the speakers voice without depression and speakers with depression, and to propose a objective method for the measurement of the therapeutic effects as well as for diagnostics of depression based on the characteristics. The voice samples obtained from 11 female speakers with depression, aged from 20 to 40, diagnosed as having major depressive disorder by an psychiatrist were compared with those from 12 normal controls with matched sex, age, height, weight, education, smoking, and drinking. The voice samples are taken by a portable digital recorder(TASCAM DR-07, Japan) and analysed using the MDVP(Multi-Dimentional Voice Program) software module from CSL(Computerized Speech Lab, kay elemetrics, co, model 4100). The result of the investigation are as following. First, the average speaking fundamental frequency and loudness range of the speakers with depression group was statistically significantly lower than that of the control group. The pitch range of the control group was rather higher than that of the speakers with depression group, but without statistical significance. Overall speech rates have no statistical difference between two groups. Second, the average speaking fundamental frequency and loudness range have statistically significant negative correlation with Beck Depression Inventory, i. e. more severe depression exhibits lower average speaking fundamental frequency and loudness range. Other vocal parameters such as pitch range and overall speech rate have no statistically meaningful correlations with Beck Depression Inventory.

  • This study proposes D- shortage control system which is a convenient tool for cooperative companies to reduce shortages which frequently break out between the manufacturing companies and the cooperative companies. On the ground of theoretical analysis of MRP and JIT system, D- shortage control system sets up a schedule that secures the delivery date by precedent scheduling( D-) comparing with MRP It also syncronizes business, production and release, and builds the pull system comparing with JIT. The factors causing shotages are the scheduling absurdity and the controlling absurdity. The scheduling absurdity can be settled by the calculating required quantity method of MRP and the controlling absurdity can be settled by daily control of business, production and pruchasing fuctions by the pull system of JIT. And the inventory and the WIP can be reduced by the operating of PULL system and by the settlement of D- shortage control practices. The Application of D- shortage control system, therefore, enables the rationalization of logistics and reduces the inventory And it leads to the reinforced competitiveness and the security of subsistence of manufacturer by the cost ruduction, the reduction of financial difficulty, and the insurance of the delivery date.
