A Force/Moment Direction Sensor and Its Application in Intuitive Robot Teaching Task

  • Teach pendant is the most widely used means of robot teaching at present. Despite the difficulties of using the motion command buttons on the teach pendant, it is an economical, robust, and effective device for robot teaching task. This paper presents the development of a force/moment direction sensor named COSMO that can improve the teach pendant based robot teaching. Robot teaching experiment of a six axis commercial robot using the sensor is described where operator holds the sensor with a hand, and move the robot by pushing, pulling, and twisting the sensor in the direction of the desired motion. No prior knowledge of the coordinate system is required. The function of the COSMO sensor is to detect the presence f force and moment along the principal axes of the sensor coordinate system. The transducer used in the sensor is micro-switch, and this intuitive robot teaching can be implemented at a very low cost.

유압구동 백호 작업기 조작 인터페이스개발 (A Maneuver Interface Scheme of a Hydraulic Backhoe Manipulator)

  • This paper presents an intuitive interface scheme for controlling a hydraulic backhoe, which is a piece of excavating equipment consisting of a digging bucket on the end of a two-part articulated arm, and typically mounted and rotated on the back of a tractor or front loader. The passive levers/joysticks for actuator operations of a hydraulic backhoe are replaced into electric joysticks with a robotic controller, which will generate the end-effecter command trajectories of the backhoe through joystick rate control in cylindrical coordinate. The developed backhoe with the hydraulic control system showed the maxim position error of 3 cm with intuitive coordinate operations, which would be helpful for conveniently performing various excavating tasks with natural and effective ways.

Instant and Intuitive Shadowing for CACAni System

  • We introduce an instant and intuitive shadowing technique for CACAni System. In traditional 2D Anime, since all frames are drawn by hand it takes long time to create an entire animation sequence. CACAni System reduces such a production cost by automatic inbetweening and coloring. In this paper, we develop a shadowing technique that enables CACAni users to easily create shadow for character or object in the image. The only inputs required are sequences of character or object layers drawn in CACAni System with alpha value. Shadows are automatically rendered on a virtual plane based on these inputs. They can then be edited by CACAni users. Achieving this, CACAni System is able to handle instant shadowing and intuitive editing in a short time.

  • 본 연구는 교사지식 중에서 예비교사의 학생에 대한 지식을 Shulman-Fischbein 개념틀을 이용하여 해석함으로써 우리의 교사교육의 현실에 시사점을 제공하고자 하였다. Shulman-Fischbein 개념틀은 수학의 알고리즘적 SMK, 수학의 형식적 SMK, 수학의 직관적 SMK, 수학의 알고리즘적 PCK, 수학의 형식적 PCK, 그리고 수학의 직관적 PCK의 여섯 가지 요소로 구성되어 있다. 이를 위해 일련의 평면도형 영역의 문제를 다루고 학생의 오개념을 포함한 지필과제를 5명의 예비교사에게 제시하고 그들이 제출한 답변을 분석하였다. 분석 결과 예비교사들은 상당히 강한 SMK를 지니고 있음을 보여주었고, 수학의 형식적 측면을 강조하는 경향을 보였다. 또한 학생들의 오개념 분석 시 학생들의 수준을 깊게 고려하지 않았고, 오개념을 고치기 위한 교수학적 방법을 제안할 때에 구체적이지 못하고 피상적인 답변만을 제시하는 특징을 보여주었다.

비행 드론을 위한 G-센서 기반의 직관적 제어기 (Intuitive Controller based on G-Sensor for Flying Drone)

  • 최근 들어 고성능 비행 드론이 주목받고 있다. 특히, 다중 로터를 장착한 헬기 형태의 비행 드론은 항공촬영, 방송영상제작, 항공구조, 물류배송, 감시, 측량, 방역 방제, 군사용 등으로 그 활용범위를 확장해가고 있다. 그러나 이를 조종하는 제어기의 형태는 매우 단순하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 모바일 기기에 탑재된 G-센서를 이용하여 사용자의 직관적인 동작으로 비행 드론을 조종할 수 있는 향상된 제어기를 구현한다. 구현된 제어기는 신경망 알고리즘을 사용하여 동작 인식 성능을 향상시켰다.

  • The interface design of mobile products has become a hot issue recently as a variety of products are being developed for extended usages. There have been two different views on interface design of mobile products like PDAs(personal digital assistants) or cellular phone. One 치aims that the current interface design of PC cannot be directly applied because mobile products have their own specific functions and requirements. On the meantime, the other argues that an extended application of PC metaphors to mobile products can have advantages because users'PC experiences can reduce the learning efforts and thus contribute to intuitive understanding mobile products. In this research, two types of PDAs, developed according to the aforementioned conflicting philosophies were compared and evaluated, based on laboratory-based usability testing conducted by novice users. The experiment consists of asking subjects to perform identical tasks for the two different types of products. The interaction data collected during usability testing were analyzed in terms of time taken, rate of success of tasks and errors. The experiment shows that there were some meaningful effects of users'experience of PC on the usability of PDAs.

중학교 학생들의 시각적 예가 없는 기하문제해결과정 분석 (Analysis on Geometric Problem Solving without Diagrams of Middle School Students)

  • 연구자들은 수학의 진정한 이해를 위해 단순히 완성된 체계를 전달할 것이 아니라 학생들이 소박하고 직관적 수준에서 출발하여 점진적인 형식화 단계를 거쳐 연역적인 체계로 나아가는 경험을 할 수 있도록 지도할 것을 제안해 왔다. 본 연구에서는 학생들의 시각적 예가 제시되지 않은 기하문제해결과정을 분석하여 학생들의 소박한 기하적 사고에는 어떠한 것이 있는지 조사하였다. 학생들이 보여준 소박한 사고에는 첫째, 조건과 문제의 관련성에 대한 이해 부족, 둘째, 시각적 자료에 의존한 직관적 판단의 활용, 셋째, 기하에서 특수한 사례의 역할에 대한 이해 부족, 넷째, 정당화되지 않은 가정의 사용 등이 확인되었다. 이를 교수학적으로 활용할 수 있는 방안 역시 논의되었다.

직관적·형식적 탐구 기반의 문제해결식 접근법에 따른 수학 문제해결 지도 방안 탐색 (A Study on the Mathematical Problem Solving Teaching based on the Problem solving approach according to the Intuitive and the Formal Inquiry)

  • Mathematical problem solving has become a major concern in school mathematics, and methods to enhance children's mathematical problem solving abilities have been the main topics in many mathematics education researches. In addition to previous researches about problem solving, the development of a mathematical problem solving method that enables children to establish mathematical concepts through problem solving, to discover formalized principles associated with concepts, and to apply them to real world situations needs. For this purpose, I examined the necessity of problem solving education and reviewed mathematical problem solving researches and problem solving models for giving the theoretical backgrounds. This study suggested the problem solving approach based on the intuitive and the formal inquiry which are the basis of mathematical discovery and inquiry process. And it is developed to keep the balance and complement of the conceptual understanding and the procedural understanding respectively. In addition, it consisted of problem posing to apply the mathematical principles in the application stage.

한국어 퍼지 언어변수를 이용한 리스크 평가의 논리적 일관성 (Logical Consistency in Risk Assessment using the Korean Fuzzy Linguistic Variables)

  • Usually, a risk can be expressed as a product of likelihood and consequence of a hazard factor. Therefore, conventional risk assessment is carried out by frequency analysis and severity analysis, in turns. However, it is well known that intuitive thinking is another excellent way of thinking of human beings. This study aimed to confirm whether there exist any difference in risk assessment results derived by two different procedures - intuitive and analytical. Thus, the present study showed 10 different illustrations to 30 undergraduate students. Their responses were organized as fuzzy membership functions, and summarized as risk assessments, and compared. The results were also verified with the help of statistical hypothesis testing, which showed no significant difference. On the contrary, however, similarity measure used in fuzzy set theory was not credible as anticipated. Many cases failed to satisfy statistical hypothesis even with similarity measure higher than 0.60 so that only a trend could be accepted. In addition, a subject showed a somewhat consistent logical discrepancy in his response, which implied the necessity of sincere analysis in fuzzy formulations.

직관적 체험내용으로 비추어 본 생활공간의 역동성 (Dynamism of Lived Space in the Light of Intuitive Experiential Contents)

  • The purpose of this study is to shed light on the field dynamics of 'lived space' in the light of our intuitive experiential contents by way of investigating three properties of space. While finding inspirations in the field theory of modern physics, investigation of our intuitive responses to the physical and spatial environment leads us to a coherent view of matter and space. We find then that our lived world is more than a system of inert matter; it is a dynamic environment of life in which feeling and mood, spiritual meaning and value, are perpetually infused with matter. Any concept of space, if it is to be meaningful to lift has to somehow acknowledge this fact. Empty space and matter cannot be conceived as mutually exclusive and independent as in classical physics. Rather they should be seen as two different manifestations of an underlying dynamism which permeates the world. The 'properties' of space can only be understood in terms of the 'impact' of material presence. The object cannot be seen as an isolated entity, but the 'conditioning' of its surrounding space has to be understood as an integral part of its being. Lived space can thus be viewed as an emotionally charged field, or a field of emotional energy, whose properties may be described in terms of concentration, mobility and resonance.
