  • Among the diverse apartment brand TV Ads, KCC Switzen uses a unique advertising strategy. Unlike their competitors, KCC Switzen uses a strategy without fancy rhetoric such as luxury, premium or high-tech to enhance the value of their housing. In order to define the value of contemporary housing this paper analyses the socio-cultural messaging of KCC Switzen's television advertisements using Qualitative content analysis and Floch's Semiotic Square of Consumption Values method. As a result of this analysis, KCC Switzen's advertisements are shown to contain both intrinsic values of housing and cultural humanism by asking ablout the daily lives of real families and their relationships with neighbors. This directly contrasts with the standard advertisements that focus on the investment value of residential housing. The unique KCC Switzen advertising strategies are expected to change the paradigm of residential housing.

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the economic value of an urban landscape. The site of this study was Independence Park in Seoul. Before measuring economic valuation, an amount of view analysis was performed to learn the visual characteristics of the landscape. As a result, the green space ratio of the park is approximately 64%. This study estimates the intrinsic value of an urban landscape that might be included in housing prices using a hedonic price model. The hedonic price model is a statistical analysis that is often used to estimate intrinsic values of certain attributes of a product. The Box-Cox model was adopted as an analysis tool while the housing price for $3.3m^2$ was used as a dependent variable and housing and landscape features as independent variables. Results show that the value of the landscape of the Independence Park is approximately 2.2% of the housing market price. The Landscape variables of the park is the second most significant of the 8 variables. This shows that residents perceived the view of the urban landscape as one of the most significant factors in their living environment. The study also indicates that urban landscapes play important roles in improving quality of life and in influencing housing prices. The implication of the study can be said to be the potential of the urban landscape as a significant urban infrastructure. These results can be used to help make policy decisions to preserve and/or develop urban landscapes.

  • The purpose of this study was primarily to examine various variables influencing consumer purchasing behavior on perceived product quality, value toward product including brand loyalty, price, consumer's willingness to pay for the product, and their expenditure patterns in Korean apparel market. Factor analysis was used to evaluate the credibility of dependent variables, and T-test was used to compare the effect of brand label, country of origin, brand effect between Korean and U.S, and jacket price and quality on consumer characteristics. Discriminated analysis was used to find the effective variables influencing the two reference group differences when they evaluated Korean and U.S. labeled and non-labeled apparel products. Multiple Regression analysis was used to examine the effects of consumer characteristics on perceived quality, perceived value, perceived price, and their willingness to buy. The results of this study also provides useful information of consumer purchasing behavior on U.S. branded apparel which may or already launched the Korean fashion merchandizing market.

  • Subjects were 405 female college students and 505 was utilized for structural equation modeling. As results, hedonic shopping value had positive effects on impulse purohasing, variety seeking, and purchasing involvement. In contrast, interestingly, impulse purchasing did not show any significant effect on brand loyalty and purchasing involvement had rather a positive effect on brand loyalty. There was a Positive effect of hedonic shopping value on brand loyalty. This result indicates that people who get more involved in and enjoy clothing shopping are likely more brand loyal than others. This seems to come from the intrinsic characteristics of shopping. People who enjoy clothing shopping likely have high level of fashion or style concern, and this might lead higher levels of purchasing involvement and brand loyalty. Due to the symbolic characteristics of clothing, the brand loyalty of clothing seems to be more symbolic and emotive rather than utilitarian and cognitive.

  • This study aims to analyse the method and strategy of spatial composition in the selective works of Italian architect Carlo Mollino. With the continuos renovation of the interpretative frames and method on modernity and in particular on the spatial phenomenon, works of Mollino, once disregarded by the historiography and evaluated for its peculiarity. emerge as important architectural phenomenons. The intrinsic value in his works also enable to comprehend the complexity and multiplicity of modernity in contemporary architecture. In order to achieve this preposition, six important works were analyzed with three key words, to understand comprehensively the process and the significance of each work and Mollino's contribution in the spatial composition of domestic and public spaces. Evaluation of the spatial strategies in conceptual investigations of Mollino had been underestimated to the relative poor conservation or incomprehension of various work, excluded from the categories of architectural elaborations. This study also aims to contribute, in the broad sense, the dialectical significance of modernity by emphasizing the aspects of his work related with Surrealism and vernacular tradition, as well as with its relationship with the various spatial dispositives.

  • Purpose: While empirical importance of dimensionality of perceived value is widely accepted, our understanding of experiential value dimensions in other retail channels and other cultures has not been explicitly tested. This study attempted to determine if the dimensions of experiential value scale (EVS) by Mathwick, Malhotra, and Rigdon (2001) identified in US catalog and Internet contexts could be applied in other international markets (South Korea) and in other retail channels (department store versus Internet shopping mall). Methodology/Approach: Two data sets, one from 220 department store shoppers and the other from 359 Internet shopping mall shoppers, were analyzed. Findings: Confirmatory factor analysis confirmed four different EVS dimensions by retail channels. Overall, entertainment and intrinsic enjoyment values were found to be more important in department store while economic and efficiency value dimensions were interpreted critical in Internet shopping mall context. Visual appeal aspect constitutes distinct value dimension in two channels. Practical Implications: One separate dimension of time efficiency in Internet shopping mall suggests that more efficient web design and functions that can save time and promote convenience are needed to better accommodate their customers. Internet has heavily relied on traditional attributes, such as factual information, price comparability, and brand name reliance. However, this study suggests that Internet shopping mall retailer should offer visual diversion and stimulation just as brick and mortar shopping malls do. Originality /Value of Paper: Although the research findings must be viewed as tentative because the results are from one country, they provide a rich basis for further understanding the dimensions of experiential value in other international markets and other retail channels.
