고해상도 SAR와 광학영상의 고주파 정보를 이용한 다중센서 융합 (Image Fusion of High Resolution SAR and Optical Image Using High Frequency Information)

  • SAR는 기상상태와 태양고도 제약을 받지 않고 영상을 취득할 수 있는 장점을 갖지만 광학영상에 비해 시각적 가독성이 떨어지는 단점을 갖는다. 광학영상의 다중분광정보를 융합하여 SAR 영상의 가독성을 향상시키기 위한 다중센서 융합기술에 대한 관심이 증대되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 고속 퓨리에 변환을 통한 고주파 정보 추출 및 이상치 제거과정을 통해 SAR 영상의 공간적 세밀함과 다중분광영상의 분광정보를 유지할 수 있는 새로운 다중센서 융합기술을 제안하였다. 실험데이터로는 KOMPSAT-5호와 동일한 고해상도 X-band SAR 시스템을 장착한 TerraSAR-X 영상과 KOMPSAT-2호의 다중분광영상을 사용하였다. 제안기법의 효용성을 평가하기 위해 기존에 위성영상융합에 많이 사용된 융합기법과의 시각적/정량적 비교평가를 수행하였다. 실험 결과 기존 영상융합알고리즘에 비해 분광정보 보존측면에서 보다 향상된 결과를 보임을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • Information system (IS) security continues to present a challenge for firms. Especially, IT security accident is recently taking place successively in the financial sector. Thus, a comprehensive measure on this is demanded. A large part of a research on security relies upon technical design in nature and is restrictive in a consideration of person and organizational issue. To achieve a goal of firm security, it is possible with an effort of organizational management and supervision for maintaining the technical and procedural status. Based on a theory of accountability, we propose that the security countermeasures of organization lead to an increase in accountability and reduction in risk of IT security in a financial firm and further to firm performance like promotion in firm reliability. In addition, we investigate which difference a theoretical model shows by comparison between South Korean and American financial firms. As a result of analysis, it found that South Korea and America have significant difference, but that a measure on the financing IT security is important for both countries. We aim to enhance interpretability of a research on security by comparatively analysis between countries and conducting a study focus on specific firm called financial business. Our study suggest new theoretical framework to a research of security and provide guideline on design of security to financial firm.

원격탐사자료와 수치표고모형을 이용한 옥천대 남서경계부의 선구조 분석 연구 (A Study on the Lineament Analysis Along Southwestern Boundary of Okcheon Zone Using the Remote Sensing and DEM Data)

  • In order to examine the primary trends and characteristics of geological lineaments along the southwestern boundary of Okcheon zone, we carried out the analysis of geological lineament trends over six selected sub-areas using Landsat-5 TM images and digital elevation model. The trends of lineaments is determined by a minimum variance method, and the resulting geological lineament map can be obtained through generalized Hough transform. We have corrected look direction biases reduces the interpretability of remotely sensed image. An approach of histogram modification is also adopted to extract drainage pattern specifically in alluvial plains. The lineament extracting method adopted in this study is very effective to analyze geological lineaments, and that helps estimate geological trends associated various with the tectonic events. In six sub-areas, the general trends of lineaments are characterized NW, NNW, NS-NNE, and NE directions. NW trends in Cretaceous volcanic rocks and Jurassic granite areas may represent tension joints that developed by rejuvenated end of the Early Cretaceous left-lateral strike-slip motion along the Honam Shear Zone, while NE and NS-NNE trends correspond to fault directions which are parallel to the above Shear Zone. NE and NW trends in Granitic Gneiss are parallel to the direction of schitosity, and NS-NNE and NE trends are interpreted the lineation by compressive force which acted by right-lateral strike-slip fault from late Triassic to Jurassic. And in foliated Granite, NE and NNE trends are coincided with directions of ductile foliation and Honam Shear Zone, and NW-NNW trends may be interpreted direction of another compressional foliation (Triassic to Early Jurassic) or end of the Early Cretaceous tensional joints. We interpreted NS-NNE direction lineation is related with the rejuvenated Chugaryung Fault System.

코스피 예측을 위한 EMD를 이용한 혼합 모형 (EMD based hybrid models to forecast the KOSPI)

  • 본 연구에서는 시계열 자료의 비정상성과 비선형성과 같은 복잡성을 효과적으로 포용할 수 있는 경험적모드분해법(empirical mode decomposition; EMD)을 토대로 시계열 자료의 분석 및 예측을 위한 혼합(hybrid) 모형을 연구한다. EMD에 의하여 생성되는 내재모드함수(intrinsic mode function; IMF)는 해석 및 예측의 편리성을 개선하기 위하여 누적에너지의 개념을 사용하여 그룹화하였으며, 그룹화된 IMF 및 residue의 성분들은 그 성질에 따라서 ARIMA 모형 및 지수평활법과 결합된 혼합 모형으로 예측된다. 제안된 방법은 일별 코스피 지수의 예측을 위해서 적용하였다. 다양한 형태의 혼합 모형을 사용하여 코스피 지수를 예측하였으며 전통적인 예측 방법과 비교하였다. 분석 결과, 그룹화된 성분들은 코스피 지수의 움직임을 단기적, 중기적, 장기적으로 해석하는데 편리함을 주었으며, 그룹화된 IMF 및 residue를 각각 ARIMA 모형과 지수평활법으로 조합한 혼합 모형이 우수한 예측력을 보여주었다.

GPCR 분류에서 ART1 군집화를 위한 퍼지기반 임계값 제어 기법 (Fuzzy-based Threshold Controlling Method for ART1 Clustering in GPCR Classification)

  • 퍼지이론은 생명정보공학에서 지식을 표현하는데 활용되고 제어시스템 모델을 이해하는데 활용되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 생명정보학의 응용 프로그램에서 중요한 데이터 분류에 초점을 맞추었다. 최적의 임계값 유도를 위한 GPCR 분류에서 기존의 순차기반 임계값 제어기법은 임계값 결정범위와 최적의 임계값 유도 시간의 문제점을 보였고, 이진기반 임계값 제어기법은 임계값 결정 초기에 시스템의 안정성에 대한 단점이 있었다. 이를 보완하기 위해 우리는 ART1 군집화를 위한 퍼지기반 임계값제어기법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법의 성능을 평가하기 위해 ART1 군집화를 위한 퍼지기반 임계값 제어기법을 구현하여 기존의 순차기반 임계값 제어기법과 이진기반 임계값 제어기법과의 인식률에 대한 구동시간의 변화, 임계값의 변화에 따른 시스템의 구동시간을 측정하였다. 퍼지기반 임계값제어 기법은 GPCR 데이터 분류에서 인식률과 구동시간에 대한 정보를 통해 분류 임계값을 조정하여 높은 인식률과 낮은 구동시간을 지속적으로 유도하여 안정적이고 효과적인 분류 시스템을 만들 수 있었다.

FCM기반 퍼지추론 시스템의 구조 설계: WLSE 및 LSE의 비교 연구 (Structural Design of FCM-based Fuzzy Inference System : A Comparative Study of WLSE and LSE)

  • In this study, we introduce a new architecture of fuzzy inference system. In the fuzzy inference system, we use Fuzzy C-Means clustering algorithm to form the premise part of the rules. The membership functions standing in the premise part of fuzzy rules do not assume any explicit functional forms, but for any input the resulting activation levels of such radial basis functions directly depend upon the distance between data points by means of the Fuzzy C-Means clustering. As the consequent part of fuzzy rules of the fuzzy inference system (being the local model representing input output relation in the corresponding sub-space), four types of polynomial are considered, namely constant, linear, quadratic and modified quadratic. This offers a significant level of design flexibility as each rule could come with a different type of the local model in its consequence. Either the Least Square Estimator (LSE) or the weighted Least Square Estimator (WLSE)-based learning is exploited to estimate the coefficients of the consequent polynomial of fuzzy rules. In fuzzy modeling, complexity and interpretability (or simplicity) as well as accuracy of the obtained model are essential design criteria. The performance of the fuzzy inference system is directly affected by some parameters such as e.g., the fuzzification coefficient used in the FCM, the number of rules(clusters) and the order of polynomial in the consequent part of the rules. Accordingly we can obtain preferred model structure through an adjustment of such parameters of the fuzzy inference system. Moreover the comparative experimental study between WLSE and LSE is analyzed according to the change of the number of clusters(rules) as well as polynomial type. The superiority of the proposed model is illustrated and also demonstrated with the use of Automobile Miles per Gallon(MPG), Boston housing called Machine Learning dataset, and Mackey-glass time series dataset.

인공위성 강우모니터링: 최근 동향 및 활용 방안 (Satellite Rainfall Monitoring: Recent Progress and Its Potential Applicability)

  • 결론적으로 위성에 의한 강우관측은 지금은 지구의 거의 대부분 지역에서 관측 및 모니터링과 더불어 강우를 이해하는 능력에 커다란 기여를 하고 있다. 특히 1997년 11월 TRMM의 등장으로 강우의 연직분포 및 정량적 관측이 이루어지므로서 국내에서도 위성강우의 활용연구가 급진전할 것으로 기대된다. 또한 위성강우자료를 이용한 농업 및 수자원분야에서의 연구도 기대된다. 위성강우자료를 농업/수자원 분야에 적용하기 위해서는 먼저 자료간의 결합시에 발생되는 규모(scale)와 해상도(resolution) 문제를 다루는 평가연구가 요구된다. 규모문제는 주어진 연구에 가장 적절한 구역의 개수에 대한 불확실성 때문에 발생되며, 해상도 문제는 해당자료를 저해상으로 결합하여 분석하게 되면 기대치 이상의 정보손실을 야기시키기 때문이다. 이와 같은 의문점이 어느 정도 구명된다면 위성강우자료를 이용한 연계연구는 무궁무진하다고 말할 수 있다. 예를 들면 농업분야에서는 위성강우에 의한 격자기반(grid-based)의 토양수분 및 지하수위 변화, 농경지 침수지역 예측 등에, 수자원분야에서는 공간강우-유출해석에 의한 홍수예 · 경보시스템의 향상, 도시지역 홍수범람지역의 예측 등에 활용할 수 있다.

Integrative Analysis of Microarray Data with Gene Ontology to Select Perturbed Molecular Functions using Gene Ontology Functional Code

  • A systems biology approach for the identification of perturbed molecular functions is required to understand the complex progressive disease such as breast cancer. In this study, we analyze the microarray data with Gene Ontology terms of molecular functions to select perturbed molecular functional modules in breast cancer tissues based on the definition of Gene ontology Functional Code. The Gene Ontology is three structured vocabularies describing genes and its products in terms of their associated biological processes, cellular components and molecular functions. The Gene Ontology is hierarchically classified as a directed acyclic graph. However, it is difficult to visualize Gene Ontology as a directed tree since a Gene Ontology term may have more than one parent by providing multiple paths from the root. Therefore, we applied the definition of Gene Ontology codes by defining one or more GO code(s) to each GO term to visualize the hierarchical classification of GO terms as a network. The selected molecular functions could be considered as perturbed molecular functional modules that putatively contributes to the progression of disease. We evaluated the method by analyzing microarray dataset of breast cancer tissues; i.e., normal and invasive breast cancer tissues. Based on the integration approach, we selected several interesting perturbed molecular functions that are implicated in the progression of breast cancers. Moreover, these selected molecular functions include several known breast cancer-related genes. It is concluded from this study that the present strategy is capable of selecting perturbed molecular functions that putatively play roles in the progression of diseases and provides an improved interpretability of GO terms based on the definition of Gene Ontology codes.

가우시안 기반 Hyper-Rectangle 생성을 이용한 효율적 단일 분류기 (An Efficient One Class Classifier Using Gaussian-based Hyper-Rectangle Generation)

  • In recent years, imbalanced data is one of the most important and frequent issue for quality control in industrial field. As an example, defect rate has been drastically reduced thanks to highly developed technology and quality management, so that only few defective data can be obtained from production process. Therefore, quality classification should be performed under the condition that one class (defective dataset) is even smaller than the other class (good dataset). However, traditional multi-class classification methods are not appropriate to deal with such an imbalanced dataset, since they classify data from the difference between one class and the others that can hardly be found in imbalanced datasets. Thus, one-class classification that thoroughly learns patterns of target class is more suitable for imbalanced dataset since it only focuses on data in a target class. So far, several one-class classification methods such as one-class support vector machine, neural network and decision tree there have been suggested. One-class support vector machine and neural network can guarantee good classification rate, and decision tree can provide a set of rules that can be clearly interpreted. However, the classifiers obtained from the former two methods consist of complex mathematical functions and cannot be easily understood by users. In case of decision tree, the criterion for rule generation is ambiguous. Therefore, as an alternative, a new one-class classifier using hyper-rectangles was proposed, which performs precise classification compared to other methods and generates rules clearly understood by users as well. In this paper, we suggest an approach for improving the limitations of those previous one-class classification algorithms. Specifically, the suggested approach produces more improved one-class classifier using hyper-rectangles generated by using Gaussian function. The performance of the suggested algorithm is verified by a numerical experiment, which uses several datasets in UCI machine learning repository.

당뇨병 환자의 허증별 전기전도도 특성에 대한 탐색적 관찰 연구 (An Exploratory Study of Electrochemical Skin Conductance for the Deficiency Pattern Identification in Diabetic Patients)

  • Objectives The objective of this study is to examine the interpretability of the questionnaire-based pattern identification in terms of biosignals. For this purpose, we investigate the relationship between electrochemical skin conductance (ESC) and Qi-Blood-Yin-Yang Deficiency Questionnaire (QBYY-Q) in diabetic patients. Methods A total of 40 patients with diabetes mellitus answered the QBYY-Q and their ESC were measured by SUDOSCAN device (a diabetes screening device, France). To analyze the relationship between QBYY-Q and ESC, ANOVA analysis and Scheffe test were performed and Pearson correlation coefficients were obtained. Results Of the 40 diabetic patients, 23 (57.5%) were males and 17 (42.5%) were females. According to the QBYY-Q, 9 patients were classified into Qi deficiency pattern (QD), 9 patients were Blood deficiency pattern (BD), 10 patients were Yin deficiency pattern (YiD) and 12 patients were Yang deficiency pattern (YaD). Demographic information (age, body mass index, duration of illness, etc.), signs of vitality (blood pressure, body temperature, etc.), fasting plasma glucose and glycated hemoglobin were not significantly different in each deficiency pattern. The ESC of the right leg was significantly lower in the BD group compared to the YiD group (p<0.022). Pearson's correlation coefficient was negatively correlated with the BD questionnaire score (r=-0.343, p <0.05). Finally, ESC showed a positive correlation with hemoglobin and erythrocyte levels in all limbs (r=0.483, p<0.01). Conclusions We showed that ESC could be used to classify the Deficiency pattern identifications in diabetic patients. Especially, the ESC was significantly lower in the BD group and was negatively correlated with the BD scores. It implies the potential utility of the ESC to understand the BD in terms of modern biosignals.
