  • Recently, T. Kim has introduced and analysed the q-Bernoulli numbers and polynomials with weight ${\alpha}$ cf.[7]. By the same motivaton, we also give some interesting properties of the q-Genocchi numbers and polynomials with weight ${\alpha}$. Also, we derive the q-extensions of zeta type functions with weight from the Mellin transformation of this generating function which interpolates the q-Genocchi polynomials with weight at negative integers.

  • In this paper, we describe how to approximate the solutions of partial differential equations by bicubic spline functions whose interpolation errors at non-grid points are smaller in general than those by linear interpolations of the original solution at grid points. We show that the bicubic spline function can be represented exactly or approximately by a fuzzy system, and that the resulting fuzzy rule table shows the contours of the solution function. Thus, the fuzzy rule table is identified as a digital image and the contours in the rule table provide approximate contours of the solution of partial differential equations. Several illustrative examples are included.

  • We proposed an axis transformation technique which reveals a distance parameter directly from optical scanning holography (OSH). After synthesis of a real-only spectrum hologram and power fringe adjusted filtering, we transform an original frequency axis to a new frequency axis using interpolation. In the new frequency axis, the filtered hologram has a single frequency which is linearly proportional to the distance parameter. Thus, the inverse Fourier transformation of the filtered hologram gives a delta function pair in the new spatial axis. Finally, we extract the distance parameter by detecting the location of the delta function pair.

  • The robust design of controllers to ensure gain and phase margin is can be use approximation of arctan function. In this paper, We proposed a tuning algorithm PID controllers based on specified gain and phase margin by a new approximation of arctan function. This method have linear interpolation equations of two arctan interval instead of one arctan interval of arctan(x). It is shown that the frequency response of this method was to ensure specified gain and phase margin.

  • In a high precision vertical machining center, the estimation of cutting forces is important for many reasons such as prediction of chatter vibration, surface roughness and so on. The cutting forces are difficult to predict because they are very complex and time variant. In order to predict the cutting forces of end-milling processes for various cutting conditions, their mathematical model is important and the model is based on chip load, cutting geometry, and the relationship between cutting forces and chip loads. Specific cutting force coefficients of the model have been obtained as interpolation function types by averaging forces of cutting tests. In this paper the coefficients are obtained by neural network and the results of the conventional method and those of the proposed method are compared. The results show that the neural network method gives more correct values than the function type and that in the learning stage as the omitted number of experimental data increase the average errors increase as well.

  • In this paper, the efficiency and the accuracy of classical (CE) and high order (HE) beam element are improved by introducing two novel techniques. The first proposed element (FPE) provides an alternative for (HE) by taking the mode shapes of the clamped-clamped (C-C) beam into account. The second proposed element (SPE) which could be utilized instead of (CE) and (HE) considers not only the mode shapes of the (C-C) beam but also some virtual nodes. It is numerically proven that the eigenvalue problem and the frequency response function for Euler-Bernoulli beam are obtained more accurate and efficient in contrast to the traditional ones.

  • In this paper, the high-$T_c$ , superconductor (HTS) microstrip patch antenna which is directly coupled to a microstrip transmission line is designed and the numerical solution which evaluate near electromagnetic field of HTS antenna is presented. This solution uses the interpolation function with the vector edge triangular element. The advantage of this element is the elimination of spurious solutions attributed to the lack of enforcement of the divergence condition. The results of this method have a good agreement with $TM_10$ mode in HTS microstrip patch antenna and show that the computation of resonant length considering the fringing capacitance effect at radiating edge are proper.

  • We developed a model of NC controller with IBM-PC as a host cpu and integlligent NC servo controller for 2 axes that can be expaned to 4 axes. Basic conceptions, including hardware structure design, servo controller design, communication protocol, and interpolation hardware design was already publicated on '87 KIEE conference. Following this, we focussed on the emulation of tyhe controller with X-Y table as complete NC machine experimenting some drawings made by NC code program that can be edited and executed in automatic on single step mode. In addition we designed the M.S.T functions with PLC and tested for M-function timing. Finally, we designed NC interface to fit with M-function output and we contructed total system of NC controller with IBM PC host with the result of successful development of new NC model.

  • The stochastic nonlinear dynamic behavior and probability density function of ship rolling are studied using the nonlinear dynamical systems approach and probability theory. The probability density function of the rolling response is evaluated through solving the Fokker Planck Equation using the path integral method based on a Gauss-Legendre interpolation scheme. The time-dependent probability of ship rolling restricted to within the safe domain is provided and capsizing is investigated from the probability point of view. The random differential equation of ships' rolling motion is established considering the nonlinear damping, nonlinear restoring moment, white noise and colored noise wave excitation.
