  • With the increasing use of the Internet improved Internet technologies as well as web-based applications, the uses of e-Learning have also increased the effectiveness of e-Learning has become one of the most practically and theoretically important issues in both Educational Engineering and Information Systems. This study suggests a research model, based on an e-Learning success model, the relationship of the e-learner's self-regulated learning strategy and the quality perception of the e-Learning environment. This research model focuses on the learning environment and on the learners' self-efficacy. The former consists of LMS, learning contents and interaction that are provided by e-Learning and the latter refers to the learners' self-regulated learning strategy. In this study, academic performance was measured by student's real record. We will show the validity of the model empirically, and most of the hypotheses suggested in this model were accepted.

  • Recently, the most frequently studied topics related to the fourth industrial revolution (FIR) are Big data, AI, Cloud Computing and Internet of Things- these four components are collectively known as the main components of the FIR (henceforth MCs). The MCs have a wide range of effects on workers' performance. As such it is imperative that these components are properly understood. This understanding will lead to a proper recognition of the attitudes that workers need to adopt to the MCs. Specifically, the attitudes of workers to several variables need to be examined, including importance, intention to use, belief in improvement, efficacy to use, and negative cognition. Each of these variables plays a role in determining how worker's performance in the FIR era will change. The performance-related variables such as self-efficacy, expectations, and acceptance of change are also crucial. These variables are related to creation of new opportunities, and can greatly influence performance in the FIR era. This study explains how specific attitudes to MCs improve performance-related factors for FIR. The adoption of these attitudes will ultimately lead to more successful adaption to the FIR era.

  • No other change in Kora has offered gredter chalenges and opportunities than the emergence of the Internet and its related Information Technology. In the technology for accessing the ever growing wave of information. The quality of the silver generation is increasingly difficult to achieve because of the complexities of life in today's ICT(Information & Comunication Technology) dependent society, Life is more interesting when one knows what is going on, what opportunities exist, and when alternatives to current practices can be discovered and utilized with ease. The purpose of this study is to identify the determinants of attitude and planned behavior toward using internent for the quality of life. This study employ the intention to use internet, perceived ease of use, perceived usefuiness, self-efficacy, stress factor, generation gap, and income as major research variables, and collected 288 survey responses from senior citizen over 55. The results indicate that the perceived usefuiness and ease of use influence the intention to use internet, and that the self-efficacy, the ease of use and generation gap has some impact on the attitude, but the stree factor and the income level do not appear significant to the attitude. It was also found that the self-efficacy and the income level determine the level of ease of use. In addition, some useful suggestions concerning the continuing education program for silver generations are presented.

  • The concept of self efficacy, originally theorized by Bandura, has been applied to a wide variety of fields including education, psychology, and business. There has been steady effort to develop relevant scales to operationalize and measure self efficacy. This article reports on the results from an analysis of Kurbanoglu's ILSES (Information Literacy Self-Efficacy Scale), the only reported such scale in the area of information literacy. Over 400 university students responded to the ILSES survey consisting of 40 items grouped in six categories. The main analysis used was factor analysis. The results show high degree of internal consistency of the items included. However, the factors derived from the study differ significantly from the factors in the original study. Overall, these factors seem to reflect the heuristic nature of students' information seeking and use patterns, favoring Internet resources and instant gratification.

  • Technology acceptance model(TAM) has been widely used to predict the end-user's acceptance of a new IT/IS. We used TAM as a theoretical foundation to explain user's intention to use an Internet shopping mall. The theoretical model is tested with the questionnaires from 308 users of an Internet shopping mall. Results show that several individual characteristics such as Internet skills and self-efficacy have a significant impact on user's perception of usefulness and ease of use. Results also show that both perceived enjoyment and perceived usefulness of Internet shopping mall strongly predict intention to use the Internet shopping mall. However, perceived ease of use has no direct influence on intention to use the Internet shopping mall. Personal innovativeness and Internet skills also have a positive effect on perceived enjoyment. Therefore, Internet shopping mall managers have to consider intrinsic motivational factor(enjoyment) as well as extrinsic motivational factor(usefulness). In addition, individual characteristics should be emphasized to form the positive beliefs about using the Internet shopping mall.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a short-term ICT training course that helps teachers from non-computing disciplines in developing countries acquire flipped-learning content creation skills. A field application is performed by applying the developed ICT training course to secondary school teachers of non-ICT subject specialisms in Laos. In the field study, participating teachers' teaching efficacy on ICT and satisfaction toward the training course are measured. The result of t-test on ICT teaching efficacy showed statistically significant increases in teachers' self-efficacy related to ICT use, both personal efficacy and outcome expectancy. The satisfaction survey performed after training showed that trainees were highly satisfied with the training course. The results of this field study could be used to propose a short-term teacher education model that could be applicable to teachers in other developing countries.
