The current progression in the Internet of Things (IoT) and Machine Learning (ML) based technologies converted the traditional healthcare system into a smart healthcare system. The incorporation of IoT and ML has changed the way of treating patients and offers lots of opportunities in the healthcare domain. In this view, this research article presents a new IoT and ML-based disease diagnosis model for the diagnosis of different diseases. In the proposed model, vital signs are collected via IoT-based smart medical devices, and the analysis is done by using different data mining techniques for detecting the possibility of risk in people's health status. Recommendations are made based on the results generated by different data mining techniques, for high-risk patients, an emergency alert will be generated to healthcare service providers and family members. Implementation of this model is done on Anaconda Jupyter notebook by using different Python libraries in it. The result states that among all data mining techniques, SVM achieved the highest accuracy of 0.897 on the same dataset for classification of Parkinson's disease.
In this paper, we presents a new service binding and resource management model for context based services in mobile edge computing (MEC) networks. The proposed control is composed of two layers: MEC service bindng control layer (MCL) and user context control layer (UCL). The MCL manages service binding construction, resource allocation, and service policy construction from a system point of view; and the UCL manages real-time service adaptation using meta-objects. Through simulations, we confirmed that the proposed control offers enhanced throughput and content transfer time when it is compared to the legacy computing and control models. The proposed control model can be employed as a key component for the context based various internet-of-things (IoT) services in MEC environments.

Recently, as the number of IoT (Internet of Things) devices for personal or home intelligence increases, the need for unified control and cooperative utilization is required. This paper presents a novel idea, proposes methods for virtualizing Internet of Things (IoT) devices and hosting them on the home AP instead of relying on a cloud service or purchasing a new device to do so. For this, the process and profile of the IoT gadgets need to be virtualized into JavaScript-based objects. Then, to execute and control the instances of the virtualized IoT objects on the wireless AP, a novel instance management method and their interfaces are designed. The implementation and performance section demonstrates the proposed system's stability and operability by showing the stress test results while the wireless AP is running for its wireless routing.
Objects Internet-based healthcare services provide healthcare and healthcare services, including measurement of user's vital signs, diagnosis and prevention of diseases, through a variety of object internet devices. However, there is a problem that new security vulnerability can occur when inter-working with the security weakness of each element technology because the internet service based on the object Internet provides a service by integrating various element technologies. In this paper, we propose a user privacy protection model that can securely process user's healthcare information from a third party when delivering healthcare information of users using wearable equipment based on IoT in a mobile environment to a server. The proposed model provides attribute values for each healthcare sensor information so that the user can safely handle, store, and store the healthcare information, thereby managing the privacy of the user in a hierarchical manner. As a result of the performance evaluation, the throughput of IoT device is improved by 10.5% on average and the server overhead is 9.9% lower than that of the existing model.

This study aims to develop a sort of expert system to simulate Internet of Things (IoT) service in architectural design alternatives and enhance the simulation performance using building information. The proposed protype system, named iotBIM, visualizes human behaviors and IoT services in a virtual place that is automatically generated from among design alternatives. We use commercial building information modeling (BIM) authoring tool for the development of iotBIM. The decision to develop iotBIM on the BIM platform was made because BIM tools already generate precise 3D models of design alternatives; iotBIM is plugged into the BIM tool as a simulation module. In the midst of the design process, architectural designers can activate iotBIM to investigate and establish IoT services that accord visually with design alternatives. The purpose of this study is to provide a theoretical and technological basis for the ultimate goal of this study.

The interconnection of an enormous number of devices into the Internet at a massive scale is a consequence of the Internet of Things (IoT). As a result, tasks offloading from these IoT devices to remote cloud data centers become expensive and inefficient as their number and amount of its emitted data increase exponentially. It is also a challenge to optimize IoT device energy consumption while meeting its application time deadline and data delivery constraints. Consequently, Fog Computing was proposed to support efficient IoT tasks processing as it has a feature of lower service delay, being adjacent to IoT nodes. However, cloud task offloading is still performed frequently as Fog computing has less resources compared to remote cloud. Thus, optimized schemes are required to correctly characterize and distribute IoT devices tasks offloading in a hybrid IoT, Fog, and cloud paradigm. In this paper, we present a detailed survey and classification of of recently published research articles that address the energy efficiency of task offloading schemes in IoT-Fog-Cloud paradigm. Moreover, we also developed a taxonomy for the classification of these schemes and provided a comparative study of different schemes: by identifying achieved advantage and disadvantage of each scheme, as well its related drawbacks and limitations. Moreover, we also state open research issues in the development of energy efficient, scalable, optimized task offloading schemes for Fog computing.

Trust management is one of the most challenging issues for the highly heterogeneous Internet of Things (IoT). In the context of the IoT, it is difficult to evaluate the node's trustworthiness in the same trust model when a node provides different services. Guaranteeing the availability of the trust management service is another significant challenge because of the dynamic nature of IoT environments. With these issues in mind, this paper propose a robust and adaptive trust management system for the IoT that is able to measure the trustworthiness of nodes based on feedbacks collected from participants in a specific context and ensure the availability of trust management services. The main contributions of our system are: 1) Proposing a partly decentralized trust management framework, which improves the resiliency of the trust mechanism; 2) Proposing an adaptive trust evaluation scheme and a three-dimensional context representation makes trust evaluation more accurate and specific; 3) Enhancing the adaptive trust evaluation scheme by incorporating a bad behavior factor in trust estimation, which efficiently distinguishes misleading feedbacks from On-Off attacks. Simulation results show the good performance of the proposed system and especially show effectiveness against On-Off attacks compared to other trust mechanisms.
Various kinds of devices are used for the Internet of Things (IoT) service, and IoT devices mainly use communication technology that uses the frequency of the unlicensed band. There are several types of communication technology in the unlicensed band, but WiFi is most commonly used. Devices used for IoT services vary in computing resources from devices with limited capabilities to smartphones and provide services over wireless networks such as WiFi. Most IoT devices can't perform complex operations for network control, thus they choose a WiFi access point (AP) based on signal strength. This causes a decrease in IoT service efficiency. In this paper, an intelligent AP system that can efficiently control the WiFi connection of the IoT devices is implemented. Based on the network information measured by the IoT device, the access point learns using a feed forward neural network algorithm, and predicts a network connection state to control the WiFi connection. By controlling the WiFi connection at the AP, the service efficiency of the IoT device can be improved.
The purpose of this paper is to propose a method for business process system (BPS) based on the Internet of Things (IoT). As the results of this research the IoT architecture and the business process design are derived. The main findings include the proposed IoT-enabled BPS method, illustrated by the description of the application and its assessment. In addition, the key business processes namely; remote machine monitoring; maintenance of machine; material procurement; product pricing; and information reporting system, are affected by IoT technology. The proposed method of this research could be the reference for the companies which want to have better management performance based on IoT technologies.

This paper investigated the design method of the smart sensor for implementing IoT (Internet of Things) service. The power supply of sensor consistently acquisting data is based on the energy harvesting technology and designed with piezoelectric transducer not affected by surrounding circumstances. The wireless communication interface for the transmission of data is designed with BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy). BLE is highly adequate wireless communication technology for low power consumption and short distance wireless communication. The main application of BLE is beacon whose usage range is extended from O2O (Online to Offline) service, navigator based on indoor positioning technology, and anti-theft/lost child prevention service to mobile game. This paper studied the method to extend wireless coverage for complementing the short wireless transmission distance of BLE. The wireless sensor network based on CATV network is proposed for the easy construction of BLE sensor network and extended wireless coverage.
