  • This paper introduces the public-oriented e-Hub construction for strategic alliances in the community. The public-oriented e-Hub can link with all Participating internet firms on the ba business models, and consequently help them share their core competence, management resource Based upon this perspective, this paper presents the procedures corresponding with social network strategic alliances of small and medium internet firms. In addition, this paper tries to analyze th among degree of competition, potential of strategic alliance, and financial performance. The resu the firms with more easily accepting various strategic alliances make higher financial performance competitive environment. This suggests that strategic alliances through the public-oriented e-Hub virtual community provide the internet firms with various opportunities

  • For the past years, wireless communications environment have developed with explosive demand of internet service and increase of subscriber. Anytime anywhere, we can access internet service and recently, we can access internet with portable terminal using wireless communications. So several schemes have been proposed for the efficient service. In this paper, we may improve performance of wibro system using adaptive antennas scheme at the base station (BS) and mobile station(MS),operating jointly. In wibro system, the joint use of transmit beamforming at BS and receive beamforming at MS is improved the SINR and increased the capacity compared to conventional system[1],[2].

  • 60km 정도까지 중속으로 이동하는 단말들에게 1-3 Mbps의 고속의 전송속도를 제공하는 휴대 인터넷 시스템이 곧 상용화될 예정이다. 휴대 인터넷 시스템은 서로 다른 QoS를 요구하는 서비스들을 제공하므로, QoS를 고려한 효율적인 스케줄링 기법을 필요로 한다. 본 논문에서는 패킷 데이터 서비스를 지원하는 휴대인터넷 시스템에서 하향링크의 대기 패킷 버스트들이 겪는 평균 지연시간을 최소화하기 위한 여러 가지 패킷 스케줄링 방식을 비교 분석하였다. 시뮬레이션에 의한 분석결과 제안한 방식이 수율과 데이터 손실률 측면에서 우수함을 알 수 있었다.

이동 인터넷에서의 TCP와 무선데이터링크의 재전송 간섭 (Retransmission Interference Between TCP and Wireless Data Link in Mobile Internet)

  • TCP protocol is originally designed for the wired network in which the packet loss in mostly caused the network congestion, and thus the performance of protocol can be decreased in mobile Internet environment due to the comparatively high error rate of wireless link. This paper analyzes the influence of retransmission interference that is a major factor to the TCP performance decrease. We first build a model in order to simulate the mobile Internet environment that includes the wireless network, and then we implement a program using PARSEC simulation language and finally executed the program. Based on the simulation results, we suggest a method that reduce the effect of the retransmission interference.

The public-oriented e-Hub can link with all participating Internet firms on the basis of their business models, and consequently help them share their core competence, management resources, and so on. Based upon this perspective, this paper presents the procedures corresponding with social network analysis for strategic alliances of small and medium internet firms. In addition, this paper tries to analyze the relationships among degree of competition, potential of strategic alliance, and financial performance. The results show that the firms with more easily accepting various strategic alliances make higher financial performance under more competitive environment. This suggests that strategic alliances through the public-oriented e-Hub in the B2B virtual community provide the internet firms with various opportunities.

  • The ubiquitous technology, leading the stream of change in telecommunication market, makes VoIP a foundation technology to enter NGN era. With this trend in mind, VoIP providers try to satisfy customer needs and invest on R&D in order to survive in this emerging market. The critical issues to VoIP providers are two fold the first one is to find out the quality attributes of Internet telephony service; and the second one is to assess the impact they have on customer satisfaction, customer loyalty and customer performance. In this study, we attempt to empirically answer the above two issues employing SEM (structural equation modeling) and AHP (analytic hierarchy process), and suggest strategic guidelines for successful deployment of Internet telephony service.

  • In this paper, we present open hardware platforms for Internet of Things (IoTs) emphasizing their strengths and weaknesses. We introduce six representative platforms, Raspberry PI, Arduino, Garileo, Edison, Beagle board and Artik. We define important performance issues for open hardware platforms for IoTs and analyze recent platforms according to the performance issues. We present recent research project using open hardware platforms introduced in this paper. We believe that this paper provide wise view and necessary information for open hardware platforms for Internet of Things (IoT).

원가 산정법에 기반한 인터넷 입찰 시스템의 효율적 입찰가 생성 에이전트 (An Efficient Bid Pricing Agent for Internet Bid Systems Based on Costing Methods)

  • Internet bid systems have been widely used recently. In those systems, the bid price is provided by the seller. When the bid price is set too high compared with the normal price, the successful bid rate can be decreased. Otherwise, when it is set too low based on inaccurate information, it can result in a successful bid with no profit at all. To resolve this problem, we propose an agent that automatically generates bid prices for sellers based on various costing methods such as the high-low point method, the scatter diagram method, and the learning curve method. Through performance experiments, we have found that the number of successful bids with appropriate profit can be increased using the bid pricing agent. Among the costing methods, the learning curve method has shown the best performance. Also, we discuss about how to design and implement the bid pricing agent.

Sub-channel Allocation Based on Multi-level Priority in OFDMA Systems

  • Packet-based mobile multimedia services for the Internet differ with respect to their resource requirements, performance objectives, and resource usage efficiencies. Nonetheless, each mobile terminal should support a variety of multimedia services, sometimes even simultaneously. This paper proposes a sub-channel allocation scheme based on multi-level priority for supporting mobile multimedia services in an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) system. We attempt to optimize the system for satisfying the Quality of Service (QoS) requirements of users and maximize the capacity of the system at the same time. In order to achieve this goal, the proposed scheme considers the Signal-to-Interference-plus-Noise Ratio (SINR) of co-sub-channels in adjacent cells, the Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) grade of each sub-channel in the local cell on a per-user basis, and the characteristics of the individual services before allocating sub-channels. We used a simulation to evaluate our scheme with the performance measure of the outage probabilities, delays, and throughput.

  • 모바일 애플리케이션의 다양한 개발 방법 중에서 파서는 중요한 요소로써 쓰이고 있으며 그 종류에는 여러 가지가 있다. 또 각 파서마다 데이터를 파싱하는 방법이 모두 다르며 구현되는 구조 또한 다르다. 본 논문에서는 이렇게 여러 가지 형태로 구현되는 파서를 분석하여 웹 서버를 거쳐 데이터베이스에 접근하는 방식을 좀 더 신속하고 효율적인 구조로 구현하고자한다. 구현방법으로는 파서의 성능 비교를 웹 전송부분을 제외한 파싱 속도를 측정한 방법과 웹 전송부분을 포함한 파싱 속도를 측정하는 두 가지 방법을 통하여 비교하였다. 그 결과, 웹 전송부분을 제외한 방법에서는 DOM 파서가 가장 좋은 성능을 보여주었고 웹 전송부분을 포함한 방법에서는 SAX 파서가 가장 좋은 성능을 보여주었다. 이러한 결과는 안드로이드 애플리케이션에서 웹 서버를 경유하여 데이터를 가져와 파싱하는데 사용할 파서를 선택하는데 도움을 줄 수 있다.
