Once the learning style of each student is confirmed, customized teaching for individual and team can be done more efficiently through teaching and learning strategies according to each learning style. • The primary aim of this paper is to analyze the resultative adjunct clause, i.e., (thus/thereby/hence) ~ing participle and provide explicit syntactic, semantic and sociolinguistic explanation on the question what causes the cause-focused causal construction with resultative (thus/thereby/hence) ~ing participle in English. What comes first is either cause or effect clause. This study explores the recent style shift of causal constructions from the effect-focused pattern to the cause-focused pattern. In this study, we argue that the increasing number of the cause-focused main clause with a resultative ~ing participle clause shows the process of the style evolution improving speech/wring style in many respects including syntactic simplification, clarification of the sentence meaning with impact on the focused clauses, and improvement of the flow of speech/writing. The style shift found in the English resultative adjunct clauses, i.e., (thus/hence/thereby) ~ing participle constructions prove to be the style evolution from syntactic, semantic and sociolinguistic point of views.

  • Fibulae have been used as clothing fasteners throughout history. They were especially popular with the Celts, but were also used by the Greeks, Romans, Saxons, and Vikings, to name a few. The earliest examples are found in the Mediterranean and Middle East, and date from 800 B. C. and earlier. Their use continues today, in the form of the modern safety pin. The first fibulae of the Bronze Age were very simple, much like modern safety pins. The form of this small functional object varies from simple to extravagant since it is also seen as a piece of jewelry, and is thus subject to the evolution of style. Its size depends on the thick/Jess of the clothing to be attached. Its fabrication demonstrates a great mastery of metal work. Fibulae would vary with the taste and wealth of the wearer. The Fibulae were divided into 10 styles according to the shape, Fibulae with Safety pin shaped style, Penannular shaped style, Animal shaped style, Diamond shaped style, Radiated head shaped style, Horsefly shaped style, Arched bow shaped style, Fan-shaped style, Trumpet shaped style, Arched-fan shaped style.

  • The purpose of this study is to establish the relationship between Durand's architectural theory which provided reasonable architectural logic in the early 19th century, and architectural logic of the Modern Movement of Architecture led by avant-garde architects in the 1920's. The system of thought in architecture proposed by Durand which clarified a architectural design method(composition) is very similar to the one of the International Style(Book), which summarizes commonalities in the flow of modern architecture. This approach has something in common from the perspective of the systems of thought, despite differences in external forms and time gaps. Therefore, this study intends to examine the systems of thought in three ways. It is to examine how the two systems of thought define architecture, what is the logic of building production, and finally the value of architecture (including aesthetic values) while eliminating classical aesthetics.

  • In this paper, a conceptual model of legal culture based on Ehrlich's "living law" theory and Cole's social-cultural explanation can explain the low utilization rates of arbitration of Japan and the high utilization rates of arbitration in the United States, simultaneously. This model highlights the clash between social norms and legal provisions in Japan. Japan has developed a two-tiered system of dispute resolution. At the official level, Japanese people accept the legal system imposed by the outside world. But, at a deeper level, they utilize diverse forms of informal dispute resolution mechanisms, such as reconcilement and conciliation, reflecting their own social norms. In contrast, there is no conflict between social norms and legal provisions in United States. This study may show that there are distinctions between American-style arbitration and Japanese-style arbitration, reflecting their own respective social norms. The question of reconciliation between the American style of arbitration and the Japanese style of arbitration can be resolved by an international arbitrator.

  • Appearance management is evolving as a means of self-expression or as a way of expressing one's individuality. In particular, hairstyle is the most important part of a person's appearance and accounts for 70% of the appearance. Improving people's appearance by changing their hairstyle gives them confidence. Among them, the fringe hair style plays an important role in determining the first impression and reflects the trend. Fringe is shorter and simpler than general hair treatment, but even these small treatments have the effect of changing the impression, so women are trying to transform into a fringe hair style. A previous study was conducted on four lines classified: round, heart, square, and triangular. In this study, we added them to define 5 hairlines and created them by combining each hairline. that have been produced 5 fringe hair styles that suit the shape of the face. It is expected that the results of this study will be used as educational materials for hair line and fringe hair styles in the field, contributing to the beauty industry.

  • This study seeks to understand the consumer meanings of wearing classic styles. A qualitative research method was adopted, and 16 participants in the United States were interviewed and asked to define a classic fashion or style and why they wear one. Grounded theory was used for the research. The findings revealed three themes: (1) A classic style represents conservatism in style; (2) Style pragmatism refers to the positive attributes of wearing a classic style; and (3) consumers expect to continue to wear that classic style in the future. Those who are fashion-forward also expect to wear classic clothing in the future as they grow older. For people who do not follow fashion, classic is also a safe choice. The implications of these findings are discussed.
