This study analyzed which conflict management norm was preferred according to unique cultural difference of nation and such conflict management norm influences on conflict management type in solving real conflict when conflict in organization occurs and such conflict norm had a preference and influence on conflict management type in solving real conflict through such conflict management norm. As the result, first, Korean managers showed still high attitude on group interest and aimed to negotiation. But they highly depended on control. Canada managers showed discussion norm of individual interest and performed conflict management laying stress on unity and negotiation. second, as for conflict management of negotiation, both Canada and Korea performed it on the based of his or her interest discussion and as for plural agenda unity positively influenced to unity conflict management in Korea but in Canada, attitude for the future negatively influenced.

Recently, there has been rapid and spectacular increase in world wide counterfeiting and other forms of piracy. According to the World Customs Organization(WCO), counterfeiting accounts for 5 to 7 percent of global merchandise trade, equivalent to lost sales of as much as US$512 billion last year. Also Korean firms' damages arising from the infringement of intellectual property rights in global markets, especially in China market, are increasing. However, the existing studies on the intellectual property rights(IRP) protection have mainly focused on legal protection. Because the law is often not the best defense against theft of intellectual property rights, we must develop more effective defensive weapons for protection of IRP. Given this troublesome trend, the intention of this paper is to discuss strategic and tactical efforts, including legal protection, that can serve as proactive measures to deter counterfeiting and thus to assure the protection of Korean firms' intellectual property rights.

Concerns related to the safety of bulk carriers we, most of all, the increasing number of bulk carrier accidents which amount to 425 during last 20 years; half of them are totally lost. A number of bulk tarriers are still missing. Bulk carrier safety has become an international issue since 1995. The International Maritime Organization (IMO) embarked on the legislation as a countermeasure to the increasing number of the bulk carrier accidents. The IMO discussed in the safety of bulk carriers including the strength of transverse watertight bulkheads, especially when the ship carries high density cargoes and the damage stability of bulk carriers in the flooded condition. In this study, statistics and causes of accidents of bulk carriers are analyzed in order to identify special features of bulk carrier accident and causes of the casualty. This study examines certain cases of hull collapses and severence which resulted in sinking to infer possible causes of missing ships.

Whereas a vast amount of new information on bioinformatics is made available to the public through patents, only a small set of patents are cited in academic papers. A detailed analysis of registered bioinformatics patents, using the existing patent search system, can provide valuable information links between science and technology. However, it is extremely difficult to select keywords to capture bioinformatics patents, reflecting the convergence of several underlying technologies. No single word or even several words are sufficient to identify such patents. The analysis of patent subclasses can provide valuable information. In this paper, I did a preliminary study of the current status of bioinformatics patents and their International Patent Classification (IPC) groups registered in the Korea Intellectual Property Rights Information Service (KIPRIS) database.

The purpose of this study is to suggest a Promotion for the Korean convention industry by analyzing the current status and problems in the Korean convention industry. Its fostering plans as follows; 1. Provide educational program such as meeting planners institute (MPI) in the United Statesproduces a range of training program for convention management, together with a certification when a certain level is reached. 2. Construct multiplex-convention center and convention facilities propelling by demand analysis. 3. Strengthen gather information and investigation. 4. Establishment of Korea convention bureau. 5. Strengthen overseas publicity activities through Korea National Tourism Organization and activate the inducement of international convention from the public organizations and institutions. 6. Increased financial and legal support for convention center developers and convention organizers. 7. The rapid growth of convention industry tourism combined with increasing competition, makes integrated networking an imperative tool for ensuring international competitiveness.

The era of PSC is coming up with the increasing numbers of MOU which is a regional cooperation organization all over the world and this PSC is more likely to be intensified as time goes by. Therefore, the changes of MOU and PSC in the main maritime powers are dealt with and then the system for operating development of PSC meeting all kinds of International maritime conventions and national laws in comparison with other countries is studied in this paper.

본 고는 표준화 추진시 갈등 문제를 가질 수 있는 지적재산권의 처리와 관련하여 국제 표준화 기구인 ISO(International Organization for Standardization)/IEC(International Electrotechnical Commission)의 지적재산권정책 내용을 분석하여 정리한 것이다. ISO/IEC의 지적재산권정책에 따르면 ISO/IEC의 국제 표준 발행 전$\cdot$후에 특허권과 관련된 조치는 첫째, 아무런 특허권이 관련되어 있지 않은 것으로 주지하고 발행하는 표준에 대한 처리 사항과, 둘째, 표준의 준비 과정 중에 나타나는 관련된 특허권에 대한 처리 절차와, 마지막으로 표준의 발행 후에 관련된 것으로 나타나는 특허권에 대한 대처 등 크게 세 가지로 나누어 분석할 수 있다. 본 고는 이러한 ISO/IEC의 특허권에 대한 처리 지침과 저자권에 대한 처리 규정 그대로 세부 내용을 분석, 소개함으로써 최근에 관심의 대상으로 더욱 부상하고 있는 특허 등 IPR과 표준화에 관한 연구와 관련 활동에 도움을 주고자 한다.

As Knowledge Management (KM) has taken an essential position of managing businesses in the knowledge-oriented society, many companies have adopted Knowledge Management System (KMS) into their organization. Many have questioned, however, in the result and the effectiveness in KMS. The purpose of this study is to explore ways to improve the current KMS by analyzing and identifying the causes that affect effectiveness of KMS. Blog which is an effective tool for communication could be used for KMS in order to make KMS more user friendly and more effective. This research is intended to conduct an empirical study on the differences between Blog-based KMS and Non-Blog-based KMS and suggest resolutions to potential issues of KMS. Blog-based KMS users show higher degree of satisfaction and usage toward their system. The result of this study suggests that the differences between two groups are primarily on system quality and knowledge quality, and many of these differences come from functions and characteristics of Blog.

The China has opened the distribution market completely since it joined the World Trade Organization on Dec 11 2001. The notable features of Chinese distribution market are the transition from the consumers' monolithic demand to diversification for the luxury goods, well-being products. The regional characteristics of consumers are smart, conservative, optimistic and advanced. and the open door policy has prompted the capitalistic economy gradually. We analyzed the Chinese distribution markets and came up with the following strategies. First, we recommend the setting of the key regional market not covering the whole chinese markets. then we can extend the main market step by step. Second, we need to cooperate and advance with the Korean distribution companies which entered into markets already. Third, we need to acquire the competitive and stable distribution channel in China. Fourth, we need to implement the localization strategy in terms of human resources and procurement. Fifth, the consignment management can be another strategy. I hope this research can be a little help to those who wish to expand to the Chinese markets.

Seafarers are one of the main engines driving economic growth in the maritime sector. The International Maritime (IMO) Organization estimated that there were approximately 1.5 million seafarers around the world engaged in international trade in 2012. Data have shown that human casualties in maritime accidents around Japan have shown an increasing trend over the last ten years. One cause is human error, which is inseparable from the human element that influences mariner's decisions and actions. The Personal Identification (PIN) Safe method is one way to systematically identify substandard and unsafe actions by considering the error taxonomies associated with various scenarios for a maritime system. The results are based on analysis of the role of the human element in commonly reported unsafe actions when interacting with equipment and other systems. Furthermore, patterns of influencing shaping factors were observed on the basis of data processing; the aim of this study was to promote safety culture and provide an opportunity to improve safety at sea.
