  • The aspects of contemporary society change have been changed rapidly running for function value on the part of part industrialization and information-oriented. The transfer to the society focused on a human being emphasis and symbol value is in progress rising with natural desire of recurrence of human nature accordingly and desires of a human being inborn of sensitivity-oriented and pluralism-oriented are being expressed. Answering these social and cultural demands, concerns about an arbitrary mind world of a human being and pursuit dispositions about impractical and transcendental world are coincided with to the purpose and so various kinds of expressions except for art sphere are being experimented and applied. Here upon also in the field of the contemporary interior design, answering sensual desire of users, various arts and cultural tendency, the concept of surrealism is being applied in design introducing the concept of surrealism positive. And fantastical and unreasonable expression features of surrealism are being used as subjective essential elements to make new spaces. Especially amoung various kinds of the interiors designs, the features like surrealistic expressions in Food & Beverage Space which proper identity and strong symbolism will be expressed can be recognized as appropriate expression patterns to give still more sensitivity stimuli to customers. Thus this research disclosed conceptual and ideological background of surrealism and also analyzed and studied surrealistic expression features applied to the interiors designs of Contemporary Food & Beverage Space through expression disposition, study and classification of techniques. And standing on the result of analyzing surrealistic expression features of Contemporary Food & Beverage Space with a key word of expression features derived we groped for estatescape trend demanded in Food & Beverage Space and direction coming.

Evaluation of the Characteristics of Food-related Factors and Interior Space Factors in Vietnamese Restaurants in Hong Kong (홍콩 소재 베트남 레스토랑의 음식관련요소 및 공간요소의 특성에 관한 연구)

  • This study was conducted to investigate and analyze food related and space related elements of popular Vietnamese restaurants in Hong Kong to identify restaurant images related to food, to examine how Vietnamese traditions are applied to such restaurants, and ultimately, to get their implications for us. Luxury Vietnamese restaurants in Hong Kong tended to be located in major office buildings and famous shopping malls in the downtown area; therefore, they were highly accessible to foreigners. In addition, most Vietnamese restaurants were quite formal in size or atmosphere. The food-related elements of the luxury restaurants reproduced traditional menus, but the table setting and service generally adopted a formal Western style setting. The presentation of foods was also creative and contemporary, to suit international customers' tastes. Regarding the spatial elements, restaurants serving traditional menus had interiors influenced by the French colonial period, while those serving contemporarily adapted menus had interiors with simple contemporary images emphasized by Vietnamese traditional decorations. These characteristics allowed foreigners from diverse countries to access the restaurants without a sense of rejection. Casual restaurants were primarily exposed to many people on busy roadsides, but they tended to be inferior in terms of size and quality. Apart from size and price level, food-related elements failed to reflect Vietnamese unique traditional characteristics. The outward appearance consisted of basic construction materials (glass, chassis, and bamboo) instead of those representing Vietnamese architecture. Additionally, the interior of the casual restaurants contained traditional elements or objects more frequently than luxury restaurants, but they looked rather disorderly and lacked harmony. Overall, the image of casual restaurants was degraded by the use of cheap and low quality finishing materials and furniture. The results of this study may be useful for organizations promoting the Branding of Korea or businesspeople and designers promoting the globalization of Korean foods.

Precipitation Behaviors of Rapidly Solidified and Hot Worked Al-Zr Base Alloys (급냉응고 및 열간가공된 Al-Zr계 합금의 석출거동)

  • Rapidly Solidified (RS) Al-Zr base splats with various alloy contents were prepared by atomization-splat quenching method to understand the continuous and discontinuous precipitation in the aged alloys. And the RS alloys were consolidated by hot extrusion and swaging to analyze the effect of plastic deformation on the precipitation behavior. Discontinuous precipitation dominated at relatively low temperature in the Al-Zr alloy, whereas both V additions to Al-Zr alloys and hot metal working appeared to suppress the discontinuous precipitation. As continuous precipitation is favored in the grain interiors, the driving force for discontinuous precipitation become to disappear with a further process.

  • This Study tried to approach with a new Point of view about Green Design that had been studied on just Aesthetics and Function and it focused on creating a pleasant environment In the Interiors combing with Horticultural therapy as advanced study in Green Design. This study is barred on understanding that nature, human and space should continue to coexist through realizing relationship between nature and human and overcoming denaturalization and dehumanization and have an opportunity to know what a pleasant space for human is. Although pleasant space can be made by many different methods, this study start from the thought that a space with plants is the best to satisfy human's basic emotion. The method of study is through research and analysis with many kinds of references and examples, and then the results were used to make design guide which introduces Green Amenity Space in residential space. The pleasant space that human pursuits should be the human-centered space as well as the space giving them mental and physical satisfaction beyond space with just function and beauty. Therefore Green Amenity Space is the best space with which human is familiar.

  • Velvet is a luxury cloth. In Fashion it dresses the Elite. In Interiors, it covers palace walls and upholsters elegant furniture. In every culture throughout its history velvet's sumptuous surfaces denotes luxury, status, power, privilege and wealth. My humble aim is to reveal the artisan in the art-to comprehend the mastery of weaving techniques, to understand the design principles, to study the everyday practice of the weavers at work. In the few ateliers that still weave silk velvet by hand, I have documented their processes and now want to share this knowledge with the broader textile community in hopes of expanding the appreciation of their art. I approach as a fellow weaver striving to learn the mechanics, the practical aspects that guide the work from initial idea to finished cloth. I leave the difficulties of establishing provenance and other important analyses to my more learned textile historian colleagues.

  • To begin with, this research arranged this concepts by analyzing paper a reference paper. So, the theory was arranged by approaching the ideal, formative and contemporary side.   • The notion of intuitionistic fuzzy semi-pre interior (semi-pre closure) is introduced, and several related properties are investigated. Characterizations of an intuitionistic fuzzy regular open set, an intuitionistic fuzzy semi-open set and an intuitionistic fuzzy ${\gamma}$-open set are provided. A method to make an intuitionistic fuzzy regular open set (resp. intuitionistic fuzzy regular closed set) is established. A relation between an intuitionistic fuzzy ${\gamma}$-open set and an intuitionistic fuzzy semi-preopen set is considered. A condition for an intuitionistic fuzzy set to be an intuitionistic fuzzy ${\gamma}$-open set is discussed.

  • This study investigates the characteristics of Mario Botta's single-family houses. Eight of his housing project which are deemed important in the historical development of housing he been selected for the purpose their elevations plans loggie and interiors are analyzed and evaluated. Through this study the followings are realized ; $\circled1$ The rationality of his interior space comes from Le Corbusier's housing projects. $\circled2 His expression of elevations has developed from Louis. I. Kahn's language and Carlo Scarpa's technique. $\circled3$ The rationality of Corbusier's houses and expressiveness of Kahn's and scarpa's projects together led to his functional solution of internal program an and the creative external images of his own. $\circled4$ The originality of this house results from his creative vision and ability to reinterpret the existing expression and principles in the light of time and space.

  • Following to current interior design that becoming more varied and composite, minimal tendency has also been changed. Furthermore, according to the lapse of time, minimalism, a space design, has been developed in a new look among such complex trends. Therefore, in this study, changes of tendency into a style of minimalism and characteristics thereof shown in interior design amid current of times were carefully reviewed, and local and foreign artists together with their works were investigated and analyzed having focused on the inclination of minimalism displayed in interiors of commercial spaces, especially before or after 2000s by dividing them into distinctive features in connection with space, material and type. It is thought that the interior space under the concept of minimalism will be changed and developed further in a variety of shapes to suit the environments in the current era getting rid of simple physical characteristics.
