In Contemporary architecture we could find rough and stiff feeling expression as a special phenomena. This style is combined regionalism to the modern spirit that we could imagine such a phenomena of the modern design toward vernacular culture. it's conception is conformed to the regionalist architecture in that period and the 3rd world experiences, From 1930s resident house Le corbusier introduced vernacular phenomena that considered productional condition of the region and regional environment This tendancy attempted by few young architects. they built building in vernacular phenomena based on the 3rd world experiences and Le Corbusier's architecture. After Le Corbusier's unite d'hbitation in Marseille Ando finishing with diversified material. but Le Corbusier's intention concerned not only to finishing of material but also to practical and human building as he had experienced in vernacular architecture.

In contemporary architecture, a tendency of architectural expressions is very various aspects, therefore this study is searched about how to express the works of Richard Meier, the background of his growth, his architectural thoughts and etc. Especially the meanings of 'white architecture' have contained, which was presented on the relationships of nature, light, purity and completeness. Lucid and complex, refined yet robust, rational and poetic, richard Meier's architecture has a timeless quality. for over three decades, he has steered an unwavering course through the shoals and cross currents of architectural fashion, creating a secession of serene white houses museums, public and commercial buildings. from Getty Center, his architectural genius came into the world agaiv. With has architectures, this study tries to read the streams of direction on Richard Meier and contemporary architecture.

This study aims at the spatial analysis in semiotic architecture focusing on the early works of M. Graves and P. Eisenman, the representative architects of semiotic architecture. This study on the semiotics of architectural space can be started with literaeur's approaches which recognizes it as the language. Thus, to applicate semiotics in architectural space means a methodology reaching for essential architecture. The conclusions of the study as per the above mentioned aims and intentions are as follows: The viewpoint of spatial analysis in M. Graves's semiotic architecture is defined the semantic metaphorical space of denotative context : That of P. Eisenman's described the synthetic deep of connotative self-restraint.

This study is to concern about the effort of architectural practice to realize the sustainable architecture. It is necessary to know about the integrated design method which combines the passive design method with the active design method from the initial design phase. One case study is followed to explain the method. Integrated design starts from defining the project and goal setting, site evaluation, design concept, design optimization, documents and specifications, bidding and construction and post occupancy evaluation followed respectively. In order to construct the sustainable design, sophisticated understanding about nature and its' principle is important and adaptable application of nature and climate depending on location is followed. In conclusion, architects and specialists of sustainable design should make an effort more study.

Since the past, an attempt of figuration which is for movement, time and force has existed constantly. A process of representative from expressed on the movement, time and force creates events, and the process through the events expresses the idea of a simulacre. Furthermore, Architectural works for potentiality to give a demonstration are in common with hybrid characteristics, and have lasting creation of flux architecture. Ignoring the gravity of the floating figuration, so it appears unrealistic hyperphysical virtual space that easily could make the life of creation. For this reason, the form generation based on the digital design method is expressed the important method. In conclusion, actualizing the virtual is the suitable way for 'devenir architecture' based upon the Deleuze Guattari's idea of 'simulacre' and creating the from generation on the contemporary digital architecture design in a similar way.

This study aims to show the present status of the expressions in the contemporary architecture in Kore under its pluralistic and equivocal situation. Non-residential buildings constructed since 1960 till 1997 have been analyzed focused on the rationality romantic property and koreanity which are the expressional aspects and its expressional characteristics in contermporary architecture in Korea such as the properties of the quasi-thematic approach limitary subsistence unexisting common ownership mixed copy and normative diversity have been grasped. These results prove that the common features after Modernism such as the restoration of humanity search for the architectural forms of plural meaning the pursuit for the regionality are also applied for the expressions of the contemporary architecture in Korea, Also this study can be the attempt to clarity the identity of the contemporary architecture in Korea and where it is now.

Architecture is builded on the ground and affected environment which include shape of topography and situation. What this study saying is the analysis about the relation between the concept of structural geomorphology and the space modern architecture. As there are many issue about boundary of space and organic architecture, It is important what study about structural geomorphology In paper, we will aware that there are many similarities between architecture and topography. This study deals with 'Sachlichkeit' , as essence of materiality that architectural building materials process, which forms the physical basis for actual building. There have beennu merous researches that deals with various elements that compose architecture, but the emphasis seemed to be concentrated on the meta-physical discussion concerning formal concept. An issue on sachlichkeit as materiality does not necessary mean to mention production process of architecture, rather it is aim of this study to seek possibility to find elements that generate architectural form, through interpreting meaning of materials as substructure generator to make architectural possible. Architectural act can be defined as a process where physical material in life is composed into architecture by the hands of architect. Material used in life is composed into architecture by the hands of architect. Material used in this process basically has neutral characteristic, so 'Sachlichkeit'solely depends on the intentions of architects. This study interprets the intention of architects through the frame of modern-basis proposed by Hilberseimer, and a result architecture is defined as an object projected by architect's subjectivity.

A church architecture which has an important meaning as a place which is for worship God, relationship, education, evangelism, service and formative meaning that express as a specific form. It has been changed by age or changes of theology, also its structure and form has been changed so as to change of a rutual. the church architecture that has been authorized as a architecture which is a representation of the age does not represent the age and it has weaknesses for expression of unique identification church has. Also, because it is lacking thoughts about regional viewpoint, it loses the characteristic of regional "landmark" like the past. In addition, a place of worship has been changed materiality of space like auditorium or seats so as to change of consciousness of worship, and it is exposed problems of expression of identification. Therefore the church architecture of twenty first centry needs to holy and be able to deliver their new standards and needs that fit original purpose of church for users.

Purpose of this paper is to find the Baroquely characteristics in Korean Temple Architecture.(MA KOK-SA) We could find out the characteristics as follows; First, visual freedom and floating in the arrangement of the temple buildings through segmenting the axis. Second, tension of variations in size, distance, and frame. Third, diverse sceneries provided by Sequential(dynamic) view points. Fourth, visual process and sharp contrast between horizontality and verticality, and unexpected scenery, etc.
