  • The 21st century is a multiplication age and social and cultural phenomena have become diverse and peoples' desires and individuality have become important. Accordingly, the sensibility that reflects human taste is also required in the exhibition space. The exhibitions in this age induce the direct cognition of senses or take interactive forms that contact diverse media and react. The purpose of this research is to define the concept of haptic presentation method in which the audience perceive in the exhibition space by themselves and the visual elements spread into other senses and perceive complexly, and to present the directional nature. To conduct this research, first, this researcher recognized that haptic sensory experiential research by analyzing the roles and transition history of exhibition space is needed for the present age Second, based on philosophical theories, four haptic sensory expression characteristics (medium nature, experiential nature, attractiveness, sensitiveness) were derived by substituting Giles Deleuze's four haptic spatial characteristics (grasping short distance, dispersed gaze, cognition of bodily movement, formation of synesthesia through complex senses) and six formative factors of exhibition space (space, form, size, light, quality of materials, and color). And the effective exhibition presentation methods were analyzed through six cases of experiential exhibition spaces. Accordingly, what matters in the experiential exhibition space is to produce the four characteristics: medium nature, experientiality, attractiveness, and sensitiveness in equilibrium. It is necessary for the designers to reflect it appropriately in producing so that the audience can think and experience by themselves. Accordingly, in this thesis, it could be seen that to produce the haptic production characteristics in the experiential exhibition space in equilibrium is the important factor in the experiential exhibition space. In conclusion, experiences in the exhibition space should be approached with the transcendental haptic presentation method by which even the space of actually unexperienced cognition can be expanded and experienced through the metastasis and tension of various senses. Also, researches on such senses should be developed continuously, and this researcher expects that this will become a stimulant to present a new directivity.

  • Sunlight is perceived by human beings first through the epidermis to space, and is a non - material medium that provides physical awareness of space, diversified expression of spaces, and plenty experience. The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of active building skin based on the inflow of natural light required by humans, looked through among the works of Jacques Herzog & Pierre de Meuron, which show the characteristics of active building skin, TEA(Tenerife Espacio de las Artes, 2008), Messe Basel New Hall (2013) and Elbphilharmonie (2016). First, the interaction between Sunlight and space is divided into spatial characteristics and sensitivities according to their concepts, properties, and characteristics. The characteristics of active skin by light are classified into a physical approach and a constructive approach. Second, (El Croquis 152/153) and analyzed the images, detail drawings, and elevations, and simulated them in 3D to express the relationship between light and active building skin. Third, the changes of light intensity, light color, and distribution of light according to the time of light entering and the skin are determined from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. Fourth, the images taken from January 30th to February 7th, 2017 on the site were compared with the computer simulated images, and the relationship between active skin and light was compared. This study is to recognize the existence and necessity of light required for human being through the activated epidermis differentiated from the limited or closed epidermis focused on information transmission, I would like to emphasize that I would like to take a step closer to the necessity and possibility of new attempts and developments so that I can feel the various experiential spaces by.

With oneway Analysis of Variance on the survey, the result that the conformity between group's brand identities has significant relationship with brand awareness has been drawn. The findings are as followings; The spatial expression elements that have the strongest effects on the conformity between brand identities are facade, logo and sign, spatial image, fixtures image, symbolic sculpture and programs in order. For spatial elements, colors, shapes and materials have effects on conformity between brand identities in order. With analysis of spatial elements and their colors, shapes and materials, it is shown that all brand colors are used. In addition, brand conformity is emphasized with shapes and materials as well as colors. Futhermore, the brand awareness is improved when emphasis with such spatial elements is repeated in continuous manner. Also, the higher brand identity got, the higher brand awareness went up.

The field of the scientific or technical study and creation of arts can be developed where they can evoke the sympathy in the circumstances under which the various styles of both arts and science meet across, complement crash together, and grow up. The operation which can control in the network of such pluralistic sphere has been needed for a long period and it has been facing the needs from a time and society. The engineering furniture as the counterplan of the above has brought the value of materials into relief to the forms of human life by making the properties of matter the maximum value or changing it. It can be summarized as following characteristics in its materials and forms along as well as the 3 types (handycrafty, mechanical, and ecological expression) in process through the 20th century. 1. Characteristics in Materials elasticity of the chair as per the changes of the flexibility in the steel pipe development of systematic chair using the plasticity of the plywood, plastic, and wire lightweight due to the materials such as aluminum. 2. Formative characteristics formative simplicity for the increase of the function and the quality improvement such as sociality, productivity, environmental and aesthetic nature emphasis on the structure as per the architectural environment and tecniques pursuit of the forms as a container of the human body seeking for the formative values as the cultural symbols coping with the needs from thepluralistic social structure Furniture is not the makeup for convenience sake but most importantexpression as necessaries of our environments. It should identify itself always as per these kind of needs and also it should be able to used to keep the relation of such mutual division, otherwise the purchase of new furniture should be necessary according to every change of the existing situatiov. • Modern museums introduce a so-called method of 'exhibitions that approach' apart from the scheme of exhibitions in a simple listing type, creating a series of stories based on the original forms of remains put on display, adopting various methods of media access, and enabling the spectators of the museums to find exhibits a little more convincing and understand them more in depth, which might look somewhat isolated from their everyday lives. The configuration of the exhibitions that approach can easily be found in the mode of narrative development of exhibition topics and scenarios, and in this sense, a study on the narrativity of exhibitions is effective for analyzing the exhibition spaces of the museums. Furthermore, an analysis on exhibition spaces may be conducted through the process of forming the messages of exhibition contents and interpreting the narrative structures of the modes of development, and allows people to think that the methods of interpreting the spaces established like this may form an organic complementary relationship with exhibition contents and have a more extended meaning. Thus, this study examines the narrativity of Jeon-gok prehistory museum and the narrative structure systems based on the structuralist narrative theory, approaches the modes of narrative development of the spaces based on semiotic judgment, and aims to understand the structures of the space narrative. In addition, It is another object of the present invention in order to verify the objectivity, throughout the course of additional case studies, to improve the efficiency of future exhibition design.

  • Luis Barragan is a representative Mexican architect. He designed architectural space as a local architect in consideration of the Mexico's harsh Mediterranean climate. His manifestation of the regionality can be found mainly in his precise expression of light. Such method and concept of using light in Barragan's architecture made a huge impact on later architects but detailed studies on this issue have not been made actively. Hence, this paper intended to suggest a starting point or an orientation by illustrating the characteristics of using and expressing light in architecture through his cases of housing works. The study method was as follows. First, the general characteristics of light were identified by analyzing the elements of architectural space that dealt with light and the characteristics of expressing light shown in the architectural space. Second, the architectural background of Luis Barragan and the architectural space elements of the light expressed in his architectural space were extracted to form a hypothetical ground. Third, five of his works on the houses in his prime (after the year of 1945) were analyzed to explore the characteristics of relational representation between light and the architectural space elements in his architecture. Through this process, it was learned that, in his architectural works, light was the embodiment of the location-related, time-based, daily and illusionary experience into architecture. In addition, meditative light could be experienced by contrasting the soft and dispersed light and shadow of the inside space of Barragan's houses with the strong external light. Therefore, through the process above, this study is hoped to provide an opportunity for the contemporary architects of our era to rethink the fundamental correlation between architecture and light.

  • This study is about expressive aspects of subversive mimesis found in architectural design under 2nd Modernity. Architectural works under 2nd Modernity are described based on pseudo-scientific positivism and philosophical ontology of Deleuze. However, subversiveness found in works of arts by architects such as Rem Koolhaas present a few complexities to relay on such a description. This is about 'subversiveness' which absorbs the positive and negative factors of modernity which has been multi-layered as 'cultural capital'. This study aims to identify meta-phenomenon as well as the specific correlations between expression and purposes of any work of art that is presented in the form of subversiveness. To achieve this aim, this study approached with the concepts of appropriation and detournment based on Adorno's subversive mimesis concept. Meta-phenomena of architectural design methods occur from relations of three, which are social reality, artist, and work of art. This was connected to productivity of mimesis practice of self-reference and self-examination, which was then, summed up from the perspectives of appropriation in pure arts and d$\acute{e}$tournment of situationalists. Based on this work, subversive expressive characteristics of architecture under 2nd Modernity were framed from the perspectives of the absorption of cultural capital, reflection and negation, autonomy, instrumentality, and meta properties. In this way, this study found that Adorno's subversiveness should be effective for creative and methodological systemization in terms of interpretation of cognition, practice, and effect after materialization.

  • This paper illustrates what the reality of architectural concepts, materials, notions and phenomena are as central questions of contemporay space design. These issues form the goal of modern space design which should attain to the reality of an era when non-real values prevail. Despite the trends of an everchanging and ephemeral dominating quality in architecture for the last ten years, architects still aim to contruct everlasting space on earth. The trends of dematerialization in today's space design can be substantiated in spatial-temporal dimensions as follows. First of all, ephemeral architecture with concepts of hypothetical temporality, everchanging architecture in fluidity, and the transparent architecture with the floating and overlapping image can be analyzed in the dimension of 'time'. In terms of 'space', void quality for the expression of emptiness, neutral space by the simplified and summarized forms, expanded space through ambiguous boundaries and spatial repetition can becharacterized and also be intended strategies for lightness, state of flux, ambiguity, paradox etc., lead modern space design along that path. As this point, we need to pay attention to the so-called 'hypersurface' concept proposed by Stephen Perella. Hypersurface is a sort of cladding sheathing existence independent from the primary structure. With it, the integration between form and image can be achieved. Sometimes hypersurface can be a strategical screen for image projection, a cognitive receptor for surroundings as well as a catalyst for information and communication systems. When the situation dematerializes more and more as the years go on, the concept of hypersurface can be an inclusive method between the phenomenological form in architecture and its self recipient image. Permissive atmospheres created between them in contemporary space design and new paradigms emerged with digital technology will further reinforce the human space's dynamism.
