With a theoretical focus on the emotional experiences created via the interface, and the relationship between human beings and space, this study aims to corroborate and clarify the formation and verification of emotional interactions between human beings and space using body movements. It follows the method of Coining "Movement Phrases" through the analysis of body movements in the experimental space, thereby developing them into a complete scenario to produce the story of emotional expression. This study has hereby generated the following outcomes: First, the "pocket-type" exhibition displays a higher frequency of body movements than the "general" exhibition. It has close connections with emotional vocabularies: "Curious," "interesting," "warm," and "fun." The "general" exhibition records a relatively high frequency of emotional vocabularies like "natural," "efficient," and "free." Second, it is possible to analyze the story of space using a scenario, just like drama, based upon attributes and serial relationships. The "exposition" section reveals a high degree of "curiosity" and a large number of body movements, while the "development" section indicates high degree of "surprise" plus slight body movements. The "transition" sections manifest high "interest" and many body movements, and the "climax" section shows a high frequency of "surprise" and many changes in body movements. The "conclusion" section finally invokes images together with body movements.

The purpose of this study is to examine the innovative and experimental housing design alternatives in the transition period to the modern era and to discuss about the motivation of modern architectural form. Thus, first, this study examined the planning concepts and the meaning of new design of the four Werkbund dwelling Exhibitions in eastern Europe reflecting the demands of modern times. Second, I analyzed how the formative experiment appeared as a stereoscopic mass design and as a architectural composition in exterior. Experimental trials at housing exhibitions were to respond to the demands for the new forms, which required a new approach to modern style and aesthetics. The major features of formative experiments can be summarized as follows. First, new housing design have escaped from the historically descended style. Secondly, through the operation of volume and surface modern dwelling created a formative conformation. Finally, the shape and the surface replaced the decoration. In conclusion, the works of modern architects can be said to have achieved the harmony between 'purpose of expression' and 'technical purpose' in realizing the 'Zeitgeist' that corresponds to the paradigm of modern housing.

Analyzing acoustic-structural systems such as automobiles and aircraft, the FRF-based substructuring (FBS) method is one of the most powerful tools. In this paper, a general procedure for the parametric sensitivity analysis of vibro-acoustic problems has been presented using the multi-domain FRF-based substructuring formulation. For an acoustic-structural system sub-structured by multiple domains, the substructuring formulation gives the reaction farces on the interface boundaries. The design sensitivity formula is obtained from the direct differentiation of the reaction force expression with respect to the design vector. As a practical application, the proposed design sensitivity formula is applied to an engine mount system of passenger car. An objective of the problem is to identify the most effective engine mounts and bushes in minimizing the interior noise over the concerned rpm range. The comparison of the sensitivity results with those of the finite difference method shows excellent agreement. In addition, stiffness modifications of the mounts and bushes identified through the design sensitivity analysis lead to a successful decrease of the interior noise. This results show usefulness of the present method very well.

The purpose of this study is to analyse the inclinations and expressions in contemporary architecture. Specially, we call this tendency and architectural movements as architectural metamorphosis. Metamorphosis in architecture present the core of the change of Forms and spirits in a change of outward shape and terrestrial identity. As in Ovid's extended dramatic poem of change and transformation, Metamorphoses, all Souls are deathless, and migrates from one form to another. Like these stories in Metamorphoses, Ovid tells the soul never dies, but leaps one form to anther, and can take any shape. So the architectural form, transformation and deformation in contemporary architecture means architectural sensations and cognitions can even approach the soul of form and shape under the transformation. The expressions and design strategies of metamorphosis in comtemporary architecture reveal continuous and sequential formations of space, linear structure with force and vector, rhythmical wavement and folding surface, lively wiggly flows of volumns and objects, and so on. Such qualities came from the periodical needs; separation of structure and surface, poly-surfacial movement, poly-sensual expression and experience, dematerialization and the dematerialized space, formless of non-formal architecture, digital architecture. Architecture of Metamorphosis is the ways and the needs of our period to overcome the static limits prohibits the liberal thoughts, to find the ways toward the opportunities and diversities and to unlock the imaginaire of the contemporary architecture.

This study starts at the at-risk children(the students in the margins)' needs for the inclusive education environment who increased lately. It is studied in the limited scope, which is about spacially 'playground' and 'Sensory integrative therapy' in terms of the special education therapy. The 6 environmental setting principles are suggested, which is redefined in terms of suitable for applying to the environment design based on the training way and arbitration principle of J. Ayres' Sensory integrative therapy. And then various environment design methods are drawn from above-mentioned 6 principles, they are categorized in 4 elements for environmental setting - sensory element, behavior element, mental element and design expression element. This trial brings daily practice of therapeutic stimulate to sensory integration dysfunction children, and sensory experiential diversity promoting development to general children. Expecially it has some advantage that at-risk children(the students in the margins) feel a sense of belonging as a member of society.

This study aimed to analyze the types and characteristics of space forms according to the composition of the stage and auditorium space along with the expression trends in the space of performing arts centers through the cases of modern performing arts centers in America. Today since the purposes of performance are multiple, a variety of stage types are applied to each performing arts center. They use various spaces and performances of multiple purposes by moving and transforming the stage and auditorium according to the kinds of performance as a variation of the arena stage. In today's performing arts centers, the sizes of the stage and auditorium can vary widely, and the performances of many different genres are put to multiple purposes. There appear complex performing arts centers that can plan performing spaces of diverse sizes and forms to fit the functions of a performance in a large building. Since they put on performances in a large space according to the characteristics of the kind of performance, the intentions and goals of the performance are well delivered to the audience.

The atmosphere is a popular word in everyday life. There is often an atmosphere when we enter a particular place. As if to say, The mood is perceived as an emotional and subjective word. Atmosphere is subjective and there are different feelings, but there are definitely certain feelings that people can relate to. The researcher examines the question in the paper and analyzes how the atmosphere in the space could be explained. So I will research about $B{\ddot{o}}hme^{\prime}s$ aesthetics which is called atmosphere. and analysis how his atmosphere is applied in nowadays art. So this study has two purposes. First is the notion of the atmosphere, not the atmosphere of rational perspective, it's about emotional and perceptual experiences. Therefore a connection about audience and arts is the most important focus in atmosphere. So the other purpose is Olafur Eliasson's Atmosphere. he is an artist about this perception. His work requires spectator intervention and participation to make it a perfect art. There is also a element in Eliasson's philosophy, in which the perceptual experiences of visitor's relationship between the work and the viewer, and eliminates the boundary as a perceptual expression.

20th century was the age of Modernism which was based on rational side of human mind. However, with the fall of Modernism, also came the fall of rationalism's dictatorship. Now, we see the pursuit and quest of irrational thinking as a new possibility of human expression which actually was already begun by Dada and Surrealism in early 20th century. It was facilitated by re-evaluation of Freud's psychoanalytic theory at the end of 20th century. This paper researches psychoanalytic approach applied to the analyses of unconscious human desires in art and design, especially its application to contemporary space design. These designs represent, without making any ethical evaluation, the fact that those unconscious desires are part of inborn human nature and the fact that 21st century is heading toward open society which embraces diverse values and possibilities. By analyzing irrational tendencies in contemporary space designs, this paper aims at proving the meaning and value for one of new directions in 21st century space design. First chapter is an introduction. Second chapter studies Freud's psychoanalytic theory. Third chapter examines the psychoanalytic methodologies with which unconscious desires are expressed in art and design. Fourth chapter classifies the types of subconscious desires expressed in contemporary space designs and analyzes their case studies. Fifth chapter is the conclusion.

This study aims to make clear visual quality of organic form and structural order that is immanent in nature about a form as formative principles of architectural space design the significanced of this study is to prove the application possibility in to functional form architectural space design. All organic forms in nature has a unique shape and pattern in structure to be self-controled and good in order. Such an order in nature comes from regular construction and ratio principles which has aesthetical order by mathmetics. The specialty of beauty in nature can be revealed not only visual form but also the ratio balance and rhythm of structural principles. As we examine the aesthetic source embodied some object can be developed in to basic principles. Furthermore through this study we can find out that the form construction theory in nature forms share the quality attribute with geometrical form to be shown in architectural space design. Natural forms are ultimate visual expression of power that effects on the architectural space design. The rule of power in nature as nature formal characteristics have a direct influence and can be also applied to architectural construction. Therefore I expect that this study will be linked and continued to another structural view.

This study aims to discover characteristics of interaction through media artistic space, a field of media investigation, for understanding interaction which represents the age of new media and a view on development of interaction which plays a bigger role in it. To achieve this, a research infrastructure was prepared by having access to expression components of which media are applied in a context of art history on media art. Further, physical interaction, perceptual interaction, and mediational interaction were derived by presenting interaction discussed in the existing various areas from an integrated perspective. Subsequently, in order to understand the contents of interaction and its activity, cases were analyzed through analytic frames consisting of interaction elements of subordinate concepts which each interaction has. For results derived from the research, interaction characteristics of media serve as a leading role in space as they are actively used as a potential tool. Therefore, although interaction has been variously represented, it forms a relationship focused on participants, and in order to build a closer relationship with the participants and further interaction, it will be possibly developed in a manner of thinking.
