RF 중계기의 다중 궤환 간섭 신호 제거를 위한 채널 추정 방식 (A Channel Estimation Method for Multipath Feedback Interference Signal Cancellation of RF Repeaters)

  • 셀룰러 시스템에서의 음영지역 해소 및 전송 용량 증대를 위해 중계기의 역할은 계속적으로 증가하고 있다. 별도의 유선 연결이 요구되는 광 중계기와는 달리, RF 중계기는 설치가 용이하고 위치 제약이 적으며, 비용 측면에서도 광선로 유지 비용 등의 운영 비용이 절감되는 장점을 가지고 있다. 반면 RF 중계기는 송수신 안테나 간 궤환 신호에 의한 간섭이 발생하며, 차폐막으로 감소시키는 간섭 신호 크기가 충분하지 않을 경우 별도의 간섭 제거 방안이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 두 개의 궤환 경로가 존재하는 경우, 기저대역 신호처리를 활용하는 ICS (Interference Cancellation System) 중계기에서 궤환 간섭 신호 제거를 위한 궤환 채널 추정 방식을 제시하고 그 성능을 평가한다. 제시한 방식은 경로별 채널 추정을 수행하는 기존 방식과 비교하여 MSE (Mean-Squared-Error) 측면에서 10dB 이상의 성능 이득을 갖는다.

A Study on the Desired Target Signal Estimation using MUSIC and LCMV Beamforming Algorithm in Wireless Coherent Channel

  • In this paper, we studied to direction of arrival (DoA) estimation to use DoA and optimum weight algorithms in coherent interference channels. The DoA algorithm have been considerable attention in signal processing with coherent signals and a limited number of snapshots in a noise and an interference environment. This paper is a proposed method for the desired signal estimation using MUSIC algorithm and adaptive beamforming to compare classical subspace techniques. Also, the proposed method is combined the updated weight value with LCMV beamforming algorithm in adaptive antenna array system for direction of arrival estimation of desired signal. The proposed algorithm can be used with combination to MUSIC algorithm, linearly constrained minimum variance beamforming (LCMV) and the weight value method to accurately desired signal estimation. Through simulation, we compare the proposed method with classical direction of in order to desired signals estimation. We show that the propose method has achieved good resolution performance better that classical direction arrival estimation algorithm. The simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

나이퀴스트 율보다 빠른 전송 시스템에서 반복 MAP을 이용한 ISI 추정 기법 (ISI Estimation Using Iterative MAP for Faster-Than-Nyquist Transmission)

  • 본 논문에서는 FTN (faster-than-Nyquist) 시스템에서 MAP (maximum a posteriori) 기법을 이용한 ISI(inter-symbol interference) 추정 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법은 FTN 전송으로 인한 ISI를 제거하기 위하여 복조기에서 MAP 기법을 이용하여 복조를 수행한다. 또한 매우 큰 구현 복잡도를 갖는 MAP 기법의 단점을 보안하기 위하여 간단하게 구현 가능한 SIC (successive interference cancellation) 기법과 MAP 기법을 연동하여 낮은 복잡도를 가지면서도 우수한 성능을 나타내는 ISI 제거 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법은 MAP 기법과 비교하였을 때 낮은 복잡도를 가질 뿐만 아니라 기존에 제안된 ISI 추정 기법들보다 우수한 추정 성능을 나타내는 장점이 있다.

  • OFDMA is considered as one of the major candidates for broadband wireless access. The OFDMA signal is usually coherently demodulated, requiring the channel estimation which can be estimated using a known pilot signal. In multi-cell environment, the performance of channel estimation is mainly limited by intercell interference. It is desirable to use a pilot signal that can estimate the channel information robust to the intercell interference in the OFDMA uplink system. In this paper, we consider two types of pilot signal applicable to multi-cell OFDMA uplink systems: One is time-multiplexed pilot signal and the other is code­multiplexed pilot signal. Simulation results show that the code-multiplexed pilot is suitable for low mobility environment and time-multiplexed pilot is suitable for high mobility environment.

Performance Analysis of Blind Channel Estimation for Precoded Multiuser Systems

  • Precoder has been shown to be able to provide source diversity and design flexibility. In this paper we employ precoding techniques for block transmission based on a multirate filterbank structure. To accommodate multiuser communication with variable data rates, different precoders with corresponding coefficients and up/down sampling rates are used. However, due to unknown multipath distortion, different interferences may exist in the received data, such as multiuser interference, intersymbol interference and interblock interference. To estimate channel parameters for a desired user, we employ all structured signature waveforms associated with different symbols of that user and apply subspace techniques. Therefore better performance of channel estimator can be achieved than the conventional subspace method based only on the signature of the current symbol. The delay for that user can also be jointly estimated. Channel identifiability conditions and asymptotic channel estimation error are investigated in detail. Numerical examples are provided to justify the proposed method. gest either multicode (MC) or multiple processing gain (MPG) mechanism [2], while requiring data rates to be integral multiples of some basic low-rate. In order to support variable rate transmission however, a comprehensive scheme needs to be investigated.

Enhanced Inter-Symbol Interference Cancellation Scheme for Diffusion Based Molecular Communication using Maximum Likelihood Estimation

  • Nano scale networks are futuristic networks deemed as enablers for the Internet of Nano Things, Body area nano networks, target tracking, anomaly/ abnormality detection at molecular level and neuronal therapy / drug delivery applications. Molecular communication is considered the most compatible communication technology for nano devices. However, connectivity in such networks is very low due to inter-symbol interference (ISI). Few research papers have addressed the issue of ISI mitigation in molecular communication. However, many of these methods are not adaptive to dynamic environmental conditions. This paper presents an enhancement over original Memory-1 ISI cancellation scheme using maximum likelihood estimation of a channel parameter (λ) to make it adaptable to variable channel conditions. Results of the Monte Carlo simulation show that, the connectivity (Pconn) improves by 28% for given simulation parameters and environmental conditions by using enhanced Memory-1 cancellation method. Moreover, this ISI mitigation method allows reduction in symbol time (Ts) up to 50 seconds i.e. an improvement of 75% is achieved.

불완전 동기 환경에 강인한 OFDMA 채널 추정기법 (A Robust OFDMA Channel Estimation Against Imperfect Synchronization)

  • OFDMA 하향링크 시스템에서 시간, 주파수 동기 오프셋이 존재하는 환경에 강인한 채널추정 기법을 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 시간 동기, 주파수 동기, 및 채널추정을 동시에 수행하는 방법을 제안함으로써, 시간 및 주파수 동기화 과정에서 생기는 에러가 채널 추정 과정에 주는 영향을 최소화하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 제안된 채널추정 기법은 time windowing과 time advancement를 통해서 inter-carrier interference (ICI)와 inter-symbol interference(ISI)를 제거하고 동기화 과정간의 조화를 이룸으로써 기존의 채널추정 기법들에 비해 약 3dB 성능이 향상되었다.

Bearing-only Localization of GNSS Interference using Iterated Consider Extended Kalman Filter

  • In this paper, the Iterated Consider Extended Kalman Filter (ICEKF) is proposed for bearing-only localization of GNSS interference to improve the estimation performance and filter consistency. The ICEKF is an extended version of Consider KF (CKF) for Iterated EKF (IEKF) to consider an effect of bearing measurement bias error to filter covariance. The ICEKF can mitigate the EKF divergence problem which can occur when linearizing the nonlinear bearing measurement by a large initial state error. Also, it can mitigate filter inconsistency problem of EKF and IEKF which can occur when a weakly observable bearing measurement bias error state is not included in filter state vector. The simulation result shows that the localization error of the ICEKF is smaller than the EKF and IEKF, and the Root Mean Square (RMS) estimation error of ICEKF matches the covariance of filter.

해면 산란효과에 의한 선박 방사소음 추정치 오차 (Error Characteristics of Ship Radiated Noise Estimation by Sea Surface Scattering Effect)

  • The ship radiated noise level fluctuates by the interference between direct and reflected paths. The effect of sea surface reflection path on interference depends strongly on sea surface roughness. This paper describes error characteristics of ship acoustic signature estimation by sea surface scattering effect. The coherent reflection coefficient which explains a magnitude of sea surface scattering and its resultant interference acoustic field is analyzed quantitatively as a function of a grazing angle, effective surface height, frequency, source-receiver range and depths of source and receiver. Theoretical interference acoustic field is compared with experimental result for two different sea surfaces and five different frequencies by changing source-receiver range. It is found that both matches well each other and a magnitude of interference acoustic field is decreasing by increasing a grazing angle, effective surface height, frequency, and depths of source and receiver and decreasing source-receiver range. For given experimental conditions, the transmission anomaly which is a bias error of ship acoustic signature estimation, is about a range of 1~3 dB. The bias error of an existing ship radiated noise measurement system is also analyzed considering wind speed, source depth and frequency.

항공기 운항에 따른 프랏터 장애 예측.분석 (Estimation and Analysis of Flutter Interference from Flights of an Airplane)

  • 본 논문에서는 인천국제공항을 프랏터 (flutter) 장애 예측 대상지역으로 선정하여 프랏터 장애를 예측.분석하였으며, 이에 대한 대책 방안을 제시하였다. 프랏터 장애.예측 함수로서 직접파 전계강도, 안테나 높이, 송신점 ERP, 반사계수 등을 고려하여 프랏터 장애에 대해 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 결과로부터, 항공기 운항에 따른 프랏터 장애는 매우 심각한 것으로 나타났고 항공기와 전파공신점과의 거리, 전파 송신점과 수신점간의 지형 및 항공기의 반사계수에 따라 프랏터의 장애 정도가 달라짐을 알 수 있었다.
