In this paper, production information management systems for global manufacturing enterprises is discussed. Three basic technologies to implement the system such as networking, database, and H/W interface technology are investigated, and a web based prototype systems integrating order and production information is developed with two server computers and a educational FMS. A MMI s/w is engaged in interfacing and real-time monitoring of FMS and an intranet is used for communication between the servers and clients.

In this paper, we propose an software architecture for home network gateway set-top-box that supports the connectivity between various consumer devices and the Internet simultaneously. To improve the scalability of the software, the proposed architecture uses the abstracted protocol driving structure, and to enhance the user-friendliness, the unified device access and management user interface is implemented using web technology. A prototype for the proposed architecture is implemented for evaluating the usability under the home network test bed.

Both browsing and retrieval with search engines are major operations that establish the interaction between users and the Web. Although both operations are usually combined to locate information from the Web, recent growth of the Web has overtaken the potential of this conventional interaction. This paper proposes the concept of Retrieve, Browse, and Analyze (RBA)-based interactions, as the improvement of the conventional Retrieve and Browse (RB)-based interaction. The prototype interface based on RBA-based interaction is also presented.

This paper presents the design and implementation of 16-QAM modem that can be applied to fixed broadband wireless access systenm. It is implemented in the hardware prototype that consist of FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array) for digital signal processing and analog front end module for analog signal processing. We provide 20.48Mbps data rate using implemented modem and test the modem in KOREA 26㎓ broadband wireless local loop system including IFU(Intermediate Frequency Unit) and RFU(Radio Frequency Unit) via air interface.

UX (User Experience) Design was an interdisciplinary approach in humanities, engineering, science and design. We classified the roles of user experience; requirement analysis which are user research, constraints analysis and direction analysis, concept design, information architecture, physical UI, graphical UI, sound UI, Olfactory UI, prototype, evaluation, launch, localization, and knowledge management/UI DB. User research methods were classified by the relation of designer, user, and product/service. We reviewed three issues of UX design; complexity management, efficiency management, and mapping management.

The railway signaling system consists of microcomputerized vital devices on board and ground, which are connected to one another by track circuits, and interlocking equipment for route control. Therefore it is important to validate the required functions of developed system and interface between developed signaling systems. To verify the conditions and functions of signaling logic, the laboratory prototype test bench, which consists of personal computers with software module and Ethernet LAN, will be developed. In this paper general design of signaling system test bench for high-speed rail is described and developed software module is presented.

This paper presents a Prototype system developed for a Bluetooth interfaced VoIP system. The VoIP phone is developed based on tile implementation of a CELP coder on the TI 16bit DSP Processor A PC interfaced with Bluetooth module is used to designing a access point system. Host controller protocol stack is implemented to realize gateway between the wireless and wired line networks. A server application program for user management and call processing, which is based on TCP/IP peer to peer connection, is implemented for tile evaluation of overall interface system.

우리는 생활 속에서의 원활한 의사소통을 위해 수 많은 관계와의 좋은 인터페이스를 여러 각도로 요구하며 살고 있다. 본 논문에서는 효율적인 사용자 중심의 인터페이스를 설계하기 위하여 문맥조사를 인터페이스 디자인 초기단계에 적용하는 프로토타입 제작기법을 고안하였다. 그 적용사례로 ATM(현금지급기)를 시뮬레이션 하여 분석한 결과, 기존의 시스템보다 개별 사용자의 현금지급기 서비스 처리 수행속도가 평균 40초 이상 단축되었다. 사용자 이용 시간의 단축은 비용절감과 만족도의 향상을 의미한다.

In spite of the presence of various kind of Integrated Circuits it's not always easy to get the right part. Besides, it is hard to find a vendor fer a small quantity consumers like who develop prototype applications. In this study, we've tried to get the logical signals from the PC based device we've developed that correspondents with the real ICs. It can emulate decoder ICs, multiplexers, demultiplexers and basic logic gates.

This paper is intended to show some new approaches and concepts for the development of system model and prototype software for computer-aided Monitoring and Assessment(M&A) of grand bridges. The system model that incorporates optimal strategies for M&A of grand bridges is suggested. Reliability models are developed and a reliability-based capacity rating method is established for the evaluation of the bridge safety and reliability based on the real responses measured from a series of field load tests. Based on the proposed models, an integrated prototype software is then developed for computer-aided M&A of grand bridges under the environment of the graphic user interface, which is successfully applied to the M&A of an existing cable-stayed bridge. It may be stated that the system model and prototype software developed in this paper can be utilized and implemented in the development of the computer-aided M&A system for cable-stayed and suspension bridges.
