응집 영역 모델을 이용한 굴곡 계면을 따르는 균열 진전 거동에 관한 연구 (A Study on Crack Propagation Along a Sinusoidal Interface using Cohesive Zone Models)

  • 본 연구에서는 굴곡 계면을 따른 균열 진전을 응집 요소를 사용하여 유한요소 해석을 수행하였고 균열 선단에서 복합 모드 하중을 고려하기 위하여 BK 법칙을 적용하였다. 정현파 굴곡 계면을 갖는 이중 외팔보에 하중을 부여하고 복합 모드 응집 법칙에서 응집 강도와 응집 에너지에 따른 하중-변위 선도의 변화를 알아보았다. 응집 강도가 커지면 응집 영역 크기가 상대적으로 작아지고 균열 진전에 따른 하중-변위 선도에 굴곡이 나타나는 것을 보여 주었으며 인장과 전단 응집에너지 비율에 따라 하중의 증가와 하중-변위 선도에 굴곡이 나타나는 것을 보여주었다. 또한 굴곡 계면의 형상에 따른 균열 진전 거동의 영향을 분석하였는데 균열의 형상비가 커지면 균열 진전을 위한 더 큰 균열 분리 에너지가 요구되는 것을 보여 주었다. 굴곡 계면의 형상과 응집 법칙을 변화시켜 파괴 인성을 크게 향상시킬 수 있으며 균열 진전 거동을 변화시킬 수 있게 된다.

  • Conventionally, to measure derailment coefficient of a railway wheel, strain gauges for lateral force measurement are attached to both side of the wheel. But narrow gap between railway wheel and traction motor makes it difficult to attache the strain gauges at the inner side of wheel. In this study, to overcome the hard accessibility to the strain gauge points by narrow gap, a new Wheatstone bridge connection method is presented by attaching all the strain gauges at the outer side of wheel with a new bridge connection. We evaluate the running safety of railway vehicles in accordance with railway safety regulations. The experimental results obtained shows higher sensitivity than conventional methods and the derailment coefficient measurement procedure becomes simpler.

  • The problem of eigenvalues and eigenvectors is obtained from a v-notched crack in pseudo-isotropic dissimilar materials by the traction free boundary and the perfect bonded conditions at interface. The complex stress function of the two-term William's type is used. The eigenvalues are solved by a commercial numerical program, MATHEMATICA. Stress singularities for v-notched cracks in pseudo-isotropic dissimilar materials are discussed. The RWCIM(Reciprocal Work Contour Integral Method) is applied to the determination of eigenvector coefficients associated with eigenvalues with egenvalues. The RWCIM algorithm is also coded by the MATHEMATICA.

  • This paper presents the design of DC protection system of Light Rail Transit system. Especially, the composition and interface for DC Switchgear. Digital protection unit and sort of protection algorithm are focused. DC Switchgear (DCSWGR) for LRT testline consist of 5 different panels with peculiar characteristics are examined. Also Basic actuation principle for DC fault select relay (50F), Line Test Device (LTD), DC Overcurrent(OCR) relay are introduced.

  • Recently, as the road capacity reaches a limit and environmental problems becomes serious, there exists a gradually increased need for railway vehicles that are environment-friendly, punctual, reliable and safe. Accordingly, in addition to conventional railroad vehicles, lots of vehicles are being newly developed. Korean High Speed Train has been developed for last 6 years to satisfy the need. Authors developed a measurement system for on-line test and evaluation of performances of Korean High-Speed Train. The measurement system is composed of software part and hardware part. Perfect interface between multi-users is possible. A new method to measure temperature was applied to the measurement system. By using the system, measurement and evaluation of the mechanical characteristics of motors and main transformers in Korean High Speed Train was conducted during test running. The measured results for the temperature characteristics of electric devices verify that the measurement system is accurate and reliable.

  • To reduce the exterior noise level of EMU, there are several ways have been evaluated. The noise sources for the exterior noise level are the traction motor, driving gear and wheel/rail rolling noise. In this article, the ways to mitigate the noise issue for EMU have been investigated and especially the way to protect the noise radiation from the bogie area and wheel/rail rolling noise. The way to evaluate the effect of the side skirt has been reviewed. To install the side skirt, the interface between the side skirt and the carbody and bogie should be examined and the acoustic design of the side skirt will be evaluated.

  • An electric railway system is composed of high-tech subsystems, among which main electric equipments such as transformers, converter and traction motors are critical components determining the performance of rolling stock.   • A volume integral equation method (VIEM) is used to calculate the plane elastostatic field in an isotropic elastic half-plane containing multiple isotropic or anisotropic inclusions subject to remote loading. A detailed analysis of stress field at the interface between the matrix and the central inclusion in the first column of square packing is carried out for different values of the distance between the center of the central inclusion in the first column of square packing of inclusions and the traction-free surface boundary in an isotropic elastic half-plane containing multiple isotropic or anisotropic inclusions. The method is shown to be very accurate and effective for investigating the local stresses in an isotropic elastic half-plane containing multiple isotropic or anisotropic inclusions.

  • The problem of eigenvalue and eigenvector for v-notched cracks in pseudo-isotropic and anisotropic dissimilar materials was obtained to discuss stress singularities from traction free boundary and perfect bonded interface conditions assuming like the form of complex stress function for v-notched cracks in an isotropic material. Eigenvalues were solved by a commercial numerical program, MATHEMATICA. The relation between wedged angle and material property for eigenvalue, ${\lambda}$ indicating stress singularities of v-notched cracks in pseudo-isotropic and anisotropic dissimilar materials was examined.
