Recently, cardiac injury due to blunt thoracic trauma appears to be increasing in frequency. The rising incidence of this mishap may relate to the absolute increase in automobile accidents as well as to more universal recognition that cardiac damage may have been sustained. We have experienced a rare case of ventricular septal defect caused by non-penetrating thoracic trauma. Of further interest is the history of chest trauma, clearly resulting in rupture of the chordae tendineae of the tricuspid valve successfully treated by operation-re-placement with two, 6 - 0, double-armed, expanded polytetrafluoroethylene sutures-2 months later. The unique combination of ventricular septal defect and rupture of the chordae tendineae of the tricuspid valve secondary to non-penetrating thoracic trauma is presented below to emphasize another variety of cardiac injury.

The area where age dating of the seafloor and interpretation of geomagnetic basic structure are conducted is also important in the aspect of geophysics. Near the sea mount (water depth to the top is 3900m and 6500m to the bottom), there are Mesozoic magnetic lineations at the sea-side flank along the trench axis. A two dimensional model analysis of Talwani and Heirtzler(1964) and a three dimensional model analysis of Talwani are performed by using data obtained from the marine proton magnetometer. Distribution, direction of the lineation, amplitude and period of magnetic anomaly are correlated and analysed with speed of the plate movement and lineation of the sea mount. In the west and north-west Pacific there are lots of huge sea mounts retaining the history of oceanic crust. This indicates that geomagnetic basis subsided into the oceanic crust and has interest in the aspects of the isostasy theory of the gravity.

The present survey paper introduces the research history, characteristics of body and fin shapes, basic principles of various locomotions and propulsion-generation mechanism of aquatic animals in nature, which utilize unsteady flow through a noble mechanism that is different in paradigm from the propulsion generation mechanism of man-made marine vehicles, and so have excellent performance and efficiency. The authors hope that the present paper helps to activate the domestic research interest on the fields of swimming in nature, which is expected to provide great ideas for improvement and innovation of today's marine vehicles.

This paper focuses on the re-creation method of historically valuable literatured tale, "Samguk Yusa" to fairy tale as well as the problems and way of improvement shown in its recreation process using five publication samples. In case of the fairy tale based on the tale having original text, the understanding and judgement about that text as well as the focusing and causality of the story are needed to the fairy tale author. Moreover, it needs clear title for the comparison and relationship with original text and also it requires the fitting arrangement of history and fiction to evoke the imagination of child. In addition, to rise more interest of child, the various literary expression showing beauty of language, selection and understanding of original tale, acquirement of formal beauty as a literature and binding of books should be considered effectively. Through the effort of problem solving and new writing approaches for tale re-creation, we will get more interesting and instructive fairy tale, "Samguk Yusa".

본 연구는 사회적으로 창조된 유산으로서 오랜 역사를 지닌 프랑스의 미식 문화의 사례를 통해 유산화(heritagization)의 개념 및 과정, 나아가 유산적 차원에서의 음식 문화의 지속가능한 가치 증진방안에 대해 논의하였다. 유산은 한 사회가 전승할 가치가 있는 것으로 인식한 것을 의미한다. 따라서 유산은 한 사회가 보존하기로 선택한 대상이자 그 사회 또는 집단의 정체성을 상징한다. 프랑스는 19세기에 역사적 기념물의 보전을 위해 정책적으로 유산을 지정 및 보호하기 시작하였으며, 유산은 사회적 구축의 창조물로서 가치를 보존·증진하는 대상이 되었다. 세계화와 함께 확산된 유산에 대한 관심은 1972년 유네스코의 국제기구 협약을 기점으로 더욱 강화되었다. 그리고 이러한 관심은 점차 자연 및 도시적 관점의 경관이나 무형문화유산에까지 확장되었고, 2003년에는 유네스코 무형문화유산보호협약이 채택되면서 세계 각국의 무형문화유산에 대한 관심이 증가하였다. 한편 음식 관련 유산의 경우 등재기준 설정의 어려움과 잠재적 상업화 가능성의 이유로 목록에서 배제되어왔다. 그러나 2010년에 지중해·멕시코·프랑스의 음식 문화가 유네스코 인류무형문화유산 대표목록에 등재됨으로써 음식 문화에 대한 관심은 물론 한국을 비롯한 여러 국가의 음식 유산 등재에 대한 노력을 촉발시켰다. 프랑스의 음식 문화에 대한 관심은 자국의 문화유산이자 국가적 정체성으로서 오랜 역사를 갖고 있다. 미식가들과 협회 등 민간단체는 물론 정부차원에서도 국가적 정체성과 유산으로서 미식 문화의 보전 및 대중화를 위해 노력하였고, 이론적 논의는 물론 유산목록 작성과 관련 정책을 통해 미식 문화를 유산으로 구축하였다. 그리고 미식도시 네트워크, 국가 식품 프로그램, 프랑스 미식의 해 추진 및 라벨링 등 제도적 접근을 통해 유산의 지속가능발전을 추구하고 있다.

Ultrasound scanning of a peripheral nerve along its expected course is a simple and useful method for determining the cause of peripheral neuropathy. We present 3 cases of peripheral neuropathy in which the pathology was detected by simple ultrasound scanning of the affected nerve. There were 2 cases of entrapment neuropathy due to mucoid cyst and 1 case of nerve sheath tumor. All lesions were visualized by simple ultrasound scanning of the involved peripheral nerve. Our results suggest that if a lesion affecting the peripheral nerve is suspected after history and physical examination or electrophysiologic studies, ultrasound scanning of the peripheral nerve of interest throughout its course is very helpful for identifying the causative lesion.

The success history of Light Water Reactors (PWR and BWR) showed how a dominant technology could be shaped in a political and economical context. The american nuclear politics, the interest of american nuclear industry, and the accumulated technological know-hows made it possible that the not inherently safe reactor-Light Water Reactor- became a prominent reactor model. The path dependency of reactor technology on LWR kept the engineers from developing a new safer reactor, even if the severe reactor accidents occurred. In oder to increase safety of nuclear power system, we should understand the social shaping process of nuclear technology.

Recently, the public interest for infrastructure safety has been growing, but the process of data acquisition and management system for safety is being carried out in an inefficient manner. The data obtained during the inspection for the safety of infrastructure tends to be documented using papers, which is not efficient in the stage of post analyses. The information technology (IT), which is rapidly being developed, is applied to the new system as a solution. Information technology provides valuable tools for converting and generating digital data, handling the history of defects, and assessing the condition and estimating the service life of infrastructure. The purpose of this paper is to introduce Infrastructure Management System(IMS). It is expected that the IMS would minimize the manpower, time and maintenance cost, and improve the safety of infrastructure.

Augmented reality/virtual reality(AR/VR) technology has a very long research history, beginning in the 1860s. As of the CES of 2016, the expectations regarding the commercialization of AR/VR technology have increased, incurring the interest of many people. AR/VR technologies will be established as a part of our everyday life, such as smartphones, by combining the breakthrough developments of displays, semiconductors, sensors, and various content development technologies. However, until recently, the results of innovative technological developments and market growth had not been reported. In this article, we analyze these trends by focusing on display technologies, and discuss future directions.

Soiling is the accumulation of dirt on photovoltaic (PV) modules and can reduce the performance of the PV power plant depending on the site location. Nevertheless, the reason which can not be the great interest to researchers of PV reliability is the phenomenon of performance loss caused by external environmental factors, not the internal degradation of the PV module. In this paper, we provide the phenomenon, history, research overview and mitigation method in order to help understanding of the soiling.
