This paper proposes a 3D pointing interface that is designed for the efficient application of a hand mouse. The proposed method uses depth images to secure high-quality results even in response to changes in lighting and environmental conditions and uses the normal vector of the palm of the hand to perform 3D pointing. First, the hand region is detected and tracked using the existing conventional method; based on the information thus obtained, the region of the palm is predicted and the region of interest is obtained. Once the region of interest has been identified, this region is approximated by the plane equation and the normal vector is extracted. Next, to ensure stable control, interpolation is performed using the extracted normal vector and the intersection point is detected. For stability and efficiency, the dynamic weight using the sigmoid function is applied to the above detected intersection point, and finally, this is converted into the 2D coordinate system. This paper explains the methods of detecting the region of interest and the direction vector and proposes a method of interpolating and applying the dynamic weight in order to stabilize control. Lastly, qualitative and quantitative analyses are performed on the proposed 3D pointing method to verify its ability to deliver stable control.

Polymer solar cells (PSCs) have attracted considerable academic and commercial interest because of their unique advantages, such as the facile manufacture of low cost, flexibility, lightweight, and solution processibility. Recently, high-performance polymer solar cells made from a mixture of poly(2,7-carbazole) derivatives, PCDTBT, and [6,6]-phenyl C71 butyric acid methyl ester (PC70BM) have been reported, with maximum power conversion efficiency of 6.1%. In this work, we report new novel copolymers based on poly(2,7-carbazole) derivatives with a suite of electron-deficient moieties or electron-rich units. We systematically investigated the synthesis, thermal stability, as well as the optical and electrochemical properties of these polymers. Detailed synthetic scheme, optical, electrochemical, and photovoltaic properties of the copolymers will be presented.
The effect of heated oil on human nutrition has recently become of great interest to nutritionists and food chemists. However, the detrimental effect of heated oil has been hardly studied extensively and many problems have still remained unsolved. This study was carried out to investigate the storage stability of the heated oils at room temperature (25$\pm$5$^{\circ}C$), with the variation in storage conditions (addition of spices and herbs) for 7 weeks period. The rancidity of the oils according to storage time and condition was measured and compared with TBA, ferric thiocyanate, and DPPH method. For fresh oil, when stored for 7 weeks at room temperature, her was no significant change in the degree of oxidation. But for the heated oil with frying materials, the degree of oxidation significantly increased at 5 weeks(p<0.05). When stored with spices and herbs, the degree of oxidation significantly decreased with storage period(p<0.05). Antioxidative activity of herbs, especially sage group was higher than that of any other group.

Structural engineers lately have an interest in the safety for equipments and facility in buildings subjected to earthquake. The stability of cultural assets was not considered for the earthquake induced vibration, while the integrity of structure has been considered through the resistant earthquake design. The purpose of this study aimed to analyze the behavior of isolation device named as \"Isolation table system\" and to evaluate its isolation performance through the experiment study. Isolation table is one of isolation systems to reduce the vibration which was transferred from slab to exhibition table. Experimental result shows that isolation table can reduce the vibration by 80-90% and its behavior is very stable within its maximal stroke.al stroke.
The socket-spigot template supporting system is widely used in engineering applications in China. As a newer type of support structure, there has been growing research interest in its bearing capacity. In this paper, four vertical bearing capacity tests were carried out on the basic mechanical unit frame of a socket-spigot template supporting system. The first goal was to explore the influence of the node semi-rigid degree and the longitudinal spacing of the upright tube on the vertical bearing capacity. The second objective was to analyze the displacement trend and the failure mode during the loading process. This paper presents numerical analysis of the vertical bearing capacity of the unit frames using the finite element software ANSYS. It revealed the relationship between the node semi-rigid degree and the vertical bearing capacity, that the two-linear reinforcement model of elastic-plastic material can be used to analyze the socket-spigot template supporting system, and, through node entity model analysis, that the load transfer direction greatly influences the node bearing area. Finally, this paper indicates the results of on-site application performance experiments, shows that the supporting system has adequate bearing capacity and stability, and comments on the common work performance of a socket and fastener scaffold.

Vertigo is one of the most common complaints encountered by physicians and the patients are steadily increasing. These patients are exposed to the risk of secondary accidents such as falls due to vertigo. There are two ways to improve this symptom: medication and rehabilitation. Although temporary symptomatic improvement may be expected in patients treated with medication, vertigo may recur and medication can delay central compensation. In contrast vestibular rehabilitation exploits central mechanisms of neuroplasticity to increase postural stability and enhance visual-vestibular interactions in situations that generate conflicting sensory information. However, vestibular rehabilitation may be compromised by incorrect performance of exercises, and there is a need for active effort and interest from the patient during rehabilitation. To solve these problems, we decided to apply FOVE HMD for eye-tracking and Unity3D to create virtual reality. The proposed eye-tracking based algorithm calculates the concentration of users with eye tracking data and calculates the motion width of the patient with nystagmus, thus the severity of the patient according to the score can be determined. According to our experimental test against healty group and patients group, this result showed the meaningful data to use define the contents result.

Microwave-assisted organic synthesis has gained a remarkable interest over the past years because of its advantages - (i) rapid energy transfer and superheating, (ii) higher yield and rapid reaction, (iii) cleaner reactions. Ionic liquids are well known for their unique properties such as negligible vapor pressure and high thermal stability. With these properties, ionic liquids have gained increasing attention as green, multi-use reaction media. Recently, ionic liquids have been applied as reaction media for biocatalysis. Lipase-catalyzed reactions in ionic liquids provide high activity and yield compared to conventional organic solvents or solvent free system. Since polar molecules are generally good absorbent to microwave radiation, ionic liquids were investigated as reaction media to improve activity and productivity. In this study, therefore, the effect of microwave irradiation in ionic liquids was investigated on lipase catalyzed reactions such as benzyl acetate synthesis and caffeic acid phenethyl ester synthesis. Comparing to conventional heating, microwave heating showed almost the same final conversion but increased initial reaction rate (3.03 mM/min) compared to 2.11 mM/min in conventional heating at $50^{\circ}C$.

Among various two-dimensional (2D) materials, 2D semiconductors and insulators have attracted a great deal of interest from nanoscience community beyond graphene, due to their attractive and unique properties. Such excellent characteristics have triggered highly active researches on 2D materials, such as hexagonal boron nitride (hBN), molybdenum disulfide (MoS2), and tungsten diselenide (WSe2). New physics observed in 2D semiconductors allow for development of new-concept devices. Especially, these emerging 2D materials are promising candidates for flexible and transparent electronics. Recently, van der Waals heterostructures (vdWH) have been achieved by putting these 2D materials onto another, in the similar way to build Lego blocks. This enables us to investigate intrinsic physical properties of atomically-sharp heterostructure interfaces and fabricate high performance optoelectronic devices for advanced applications. In this talk, fundamental properties of various 2D materials will be introduced, including growth technique and influence of defects on properties of 2D materials. We also fabricate high performance electronic/optoelectronic devices of vdWH, such as transistors, memories, and solar cells. The device platform based on van der Waals heterostructures show huge improvement of devices performance, high stability and transparency/flexibility due to unique properties of 2D materials and ultra-sharp heterointerfaces. Our work paves a new way toward future advanced electronics based on 2D materials.
A fisher means any person employed to provide his/her labor in a fishing vessel in exchange for a wage. There is no concept of a fisher in Seafarers Act. This act shall not apply to seafarers who are in service on board a fishing vessel the gross tonnage of which is less than 20 tons. However, of the total 63,112 fishing vessels, only 2,829 fishing vessels have a total tonnage of more than 20 tons. Fishermen engaged in fishing vessels with a gross tonnage of which is less than 20 tons are not guaranteed to be paid arrears through the Wage Claim Guarantee Fund for Seafarer (Article 56). In addition, fishermen working on a fishing vessel are excluded from the Wage claim Guarantee Act. The Labor Standards Act shall apply to fishermen engaged in fishing vessels with a gross tonnage of which is less than 20 tons. Fishermen and seafarers are at a higher risk of living security than regular workers. Guaranteeing the payment of wages is essential for fishermen to improve the life and employment stability. In order to guarantee fisher wage claims, the concept of a fisher in the Seafarers Act must be realized by sources such as the Wage Claim Guarantee Fund of Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, step by step expansion of members in the wage claim guarantee fund for seafarers and interest for delayed payment of wages, etc.
