지상파 DMB 대화형 서비스를 위한 BIFS 콘텐츠 저작 시스템 구현 (Development of BIFS Contents Authoring System for T-DMB Interactive Data Service)

  • 본 논문에서는 지상파 DMB 대화형 서비스를 위한 BIFS 콘텐츠를 쉽고 편리하게 저작할 수 있도록 하는 BIFS 콘텐츠 저작 시스템에 대하여 소개한다. 지상파 DMB에서는 대화형 방송 서비스를 위하여 MPEG-4 BIFS 규격을 채택하고 있으며 이를 이용하여 다양한 형태의 대화형 멀티미디어 방송 서비스가 가능하다. 이러한 대화형 서비스 활성화되기 위해서는 다양한 형태의 대화형 콘텐츠의 원활한 공급이 선행되어야 한다. 지상파 DMB 대화형 방송 서비스를 위한 BIFS 콘텐츠는 많은 수의 노드(node), 라우트 (route) 및 기술자 (descriptor) 들의 조합으로 표현된다. 따라서, 지상파 DMB에서의 대화형 방송 서비스가 활성화되기 위해서는 MPEC-4 BIFS에 대한 기술적인 지식이 없는 경우에도 쉽고 편리하게 대화형 콘텐츠를 저작 할 수 있는 대화형 콘텐츠 저작 기술이 필수적이다. 본 논문에서 소개하는 지상파DMB 대화형 콘텐츠 저작 시스템은 지상파 DMB 규격 및 MPEG-4 BIFS 규격을 준수하도록 개발되었으며, 상기 규격에 대한 지식이 전혀 없는 일반 사용자들도 쉽고 편리하게 대화형 콘텐츠를 저작할 수 있도록 개발되었다. 따라서, 본 논문에서 소개하는 BIFS 콘텐츠 저작 시스템은 지상파 DMB를 통한 대화형 방송 서비스의 활성화에 크게 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

  • A new paradigm of technology, based on an interaction o( machines, humans and the environment through korperlichkeit(corporeality or philosophy of Mom), is explored. The issue of interactivity in contemporary art plays a key role in the investigation of interactive technology. An interactive system is proposed and implemented to explore the Proposed interactive technology Paradigm. Also, recent collaborations by ASTA(Arts, Sciences St Technology in Asia), an interdisciplinary project team of artists and engineers, are introduced to demonstrate these explorations.

  • A new 3-phase line-interactive UPS(Uninterruptible Power Supply) system with parallel-series active power-line conditioning capability using AC line reactor and two four-leg PWM VSCs(Voltage Source Converters) was introduced recently, In this paper, the strategy of voltage control in suggested UPS system is explained. The objective of proposed voltage controllers in parallel(shunt) and series PWM VSC is to guarantee satisfactory characteristics in steady state and transient state.

  • 본 논문에서는 필터링 기반으로 한 이미지 만화화를 위한 파라미터 조절을 위해 대화형 유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 시스템을 제안한다. 만화화의 스타일은 사람마다 주관적이고, 비전문가가 파라미터를 직접 조절하는 데에는 시그널 프로세싱에 대한 이해가 요구되므로 쉽지 않은 일이다. 우리는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 사용자에게 직접 평가함수를 받고 사용자가 원하는 방향으로 해를 찾아주는 대화형 유전자 알고리즘 기법을 이용하는 인터페이스 기술을 제안한다. 이 방법을 이용하면 비전문적인 사용자도 원하는 스타일의 만화화를 생성하는 파라미터를 비교적 빠른 시간 안에 설정해 줄 수 있었다.

In this paper, the strategy of voltage control in suggested UPS system is explained. Therefore the experimental results to prototype UPS system having power rating of 60kVA is shown to prove the verification of voltage control strategy.

  • As the workers are getting old, they need to be expert in their fields. Expertise is an invaluable means of shipbuilding industries because of the technological advancements. Therefore, the workers have to attend training seminars and upgrade their technical knowledge. In shipbuilding industries, most workers operate transporters based on experience not on learning from specialization in the shipyard. It is needed for the workers of transporters to be educated technical manual and system. Thus, this research shows that educational system which is interactive and very effective with Augmented Reality(AR) for the non-specialist workers. The educational interactive system based on AR is very supportive and worth for the workers. This study considers the system which makes the workers reduce malfunction of the products and mistakes.

Interactive Rehabilitation Support System for Dementia Patients

  • This paper presents the preliminary study of an interactive rehabilitation support system for both dementia patients and their caregivers, the goal of which is to improve the quality of life(QOL) of the patients suffering from dementia through virtual interaction. To achieve the virtual interaction, three kinds of recognition modules for speech, facial image and pen-mouse gesture are studied. The results of both practical tests and questionnaire surveys show that the proposed system had to be further improved, especially in both speech recognition and user interface for real-world applications. The surveys also revealed that the pen-mouse gesture recognition, as one of possible interactive aids, show us a probability to support weakness of speech recognition.

델타변환 무정전전원장치 시스템의 특성 시험 (Test on Characteristics of Delta Conversion UPS System)

  • 본 논문에서는 일명 델타변환 무정전전원장치(UPS)로서 알려져 있는 3상 라인 인터랙티브 UPS 시스템의 성능 시험에 대해서 다루고 있다. 델타변환 UPS는 종래의 단일 변환 라인 인터랙티브 UPS 시스템에서 직렬 인덕터를 제거하고 직렬 및 병렬 PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) 컨버터를 사용하는 새로운 라인 인터랙티브 UPS 시스템으로 전원 전류를 직접 제어함으로써 UPS 시스템의 입출력 특성들이 상당히 개선되는 것으로 알려져 있다. 여기서는 UPS 시스템의 성능 시험에서 중요한 내용들인 부하시험, 정전/복전시험, 동기절체 시험 등에 대한 결과들을 제시하고 델타변환 UPS 시스템에 대한 전반적인 평가를 한다.

  • The interactive advertisement is already on satellite and cable broadcasting hereafter the introduction of this system is concerned on terrestrial programs. This study is to research the effectiveness of interactive TV advertising focusing on factors of involvement and interaction. Study started for the effect measurement of interactive television advertisement. Interactive television advertisement has different concept than existing television advertisement. Thus, the effect also needs to examine in other methods. Study is mainly focusing on the characteristics of interactive and the experiments, which was based on existing data, for measurement of effect. In the experiments, the characteristics were categorized in a search time, a number of searched pages about interactive television advertisement. The research finds that the involvement of the audience increases when the interaction of advertising attitude, brand attitude, and purchase intentions also increases. And so, a successful interactive TV advertisement results in longer searching hours and greater it visits by the audience when the interaction factors are considered and increased. By study of consumer's characteristics and behavior, a new method of the effect measurement for interactive television advertisement is provided. The new method includes not only existing measurement elements of television advertisement which are attitude on advertising and brand, and customers' purpose, but also the features of interactive television advertisement, which are search time, a number of searched pages. Recently added features provides data of the effect on high/low groups and it contributes to the process of interactive television advertisement. Study on interactive television advertisement will be helpful to plan an effective strategy by suggesting the theoretical evidence of its effect.

ML-based Interactive Data Visualization System for Diversity and Fairness Issues

  • As the recent developments of artificial intelligence, particularly machine-learning, impact every aspect of society, they are also increasingly influencing creative fields manifested as new artistic tools and inspirational sources. However, as more artists integrate the technology into their creative works, the issues of diversity and fairness are also emerging in the AI-based creative practice. The data dependency of machine-learning algorithms can amplify the social injustice existing in the real world. In this paper, we present an interactive visualization system for raising the awareness of the diversity and fairness issues. Rather than resorting to education, campaign, or laws on those issues, we have developed a web & ML-based interactive data visualization system. By providing the interactive visual experience on the issues in interesting ways as the form of web content which anyone can access from anywhere, we strive to raise the public awareness of the issues and alleviate the important ethical problems. In this paper, we present the process of developing the ML-based interactive visualization system and discuss the results of this project. The proposed approach can be applied to other areas requiring attention to the issues.
