  • The problems concerning FMC (Flexible manufacturing cell) system layout were treated in this paper. In fact, there being no clear definition about FMS (Flexible manufacturing system), it could be treated as the system adopting flexible-automation and FMS has been improving as a form of parts machining system. It was thought that the problems of combination of machine tool groups and parts family were important. Parts familly and machine tool groups were made up by means of multivariate analysis and the minimum trnsfer concept using correlation coefficient ($\rho$). And FMC system was layout by directional graph according to the FMS classifications.

  • 본 논문에서는 피부 이미지에서 건선 병변만을 가장 효과적으로 분할 할 수 있는 분할기법 선별을 목표로 한다. Interactive graph cuts (IGC)와 Level set method (LSM)를 사용하여 건선 영역을 분할한 후 Jaccard Index (JI)와 Dice Similarity Coefficient (DSC)을 사용하여 건선 영역에 효과적인 분할 방법을 제안한다.

  • Due to global warming, various natural disasters such as floods and droughts are increasing. If we can detect the possibility of natural disasters in advance, we can prevent massive damages caused by natural disasters. Recent advances in visual sensor technologies have enabled remote monitoring of a variety of natural environments, including lakes, rivers, and shores. In this paper, we propose a method to segment an image obtained from video sensor networks into regions in order to monitor the environment effectively. In the proposed method, we first partition the image into superpixels and model the connections between superpixels as a graph. Then, initial seeds for each region are set by using the prior information, and the initial seeds are expanded to form regions using agglomerative clustering. Experimental results show that the proposed method extracts the regions from natural environment images easily and accurately.

Ensemble Engine: Framework Design for Visual Novel Game Production

  • In this study, we propose an ensemble engine, which is a framework for game engine optimized for visual novels genre, focusing on storytelling among various game genres. The game of Visual Nobel genre is based on multi-ending story and features branching of various scenarios according to user's choice. The proposed engine supports various multi-scenarios and multi-endings based on nodes according to the characteristics of these genres. In addition, it provides a convenient and intuitive user interface that not only enhances user immersion but also provides VR function to maximize the sense of presence. We will demonstrate the usefulness of the proposed game engine by designing the framework of a game engine suitable for this feature and actually creating variety stories automatically.

  • 다양한 형태의 다수 에이전트가 서비스하는 환경에서 사용자가 요청하는 서비스 명령은 단순할수록 사용성이 좋다. 하나의 서비스는 다양한 로봇이 유기적으로 수행해야 하며, 사용자가 서비스 명령에 대해 요구사항을 추가하면 이를 다수 로봇이 적절하게 처리하는 방법이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 사용자가 요청한 서비스에 대해 로봇의 동작은 노드로, 동작 간의 관계는 에지로 표현하고 이를 통해 스케줄링 하는 방법론을 제공한다. 실험 결과, 다수 로봇 환경에서 사용자의 요구사항을 동적으로 대응하며 효율적으로 서비스가 수행됨을 확인하였다.

Analysis of a Large-scale Protein Structural Interactome: Ageing Protein structures and the most important protein domain

  • Large scale protein interaction maps provide a new, global perspective with which to analyse protein function. PSIMAP, the Protein Structural Interactome Map, is a database of all the structurally observed interactions between superfamilies of protein domains with known three-dimensional structure in thePDB. PSIMAP incorporates both functional and evolutionary information into a single network. It makes it possible to age protein domains in terms of taxonomic diversity, interaction and function. One consequence of it is to predict the most important protein domain structure in evolution. We present a global analysis of PSIMAP using several distinct network measures relating to centrality, interactivity, fault-tolerance, and taxonomic diversity. We found the following results: ${\bullet}$ Centrality: we show that the center and barycenter of PSIMAP do not coincide, and that the superfamilies forming the barycenter relate to very general functions, while those constituting the center relate to enzymatic activity. ${\bullet}$ Interactivity: we identify the P-loop and immunoglobulin superfamilies as the most highly interactive. We successfully use connectivity and cluster index, which characterise the connectivity of a superfamily's neighbourhood, to discover superfamilies of complex I and II. This is particularly significant as the structure of complex I is not yet solved. ${\bullet}$ Taxonomic diversity: we found that highly interactive superfamilies are in general taxonomically very diverse and are thus amongst the oldest. This led to the prediction of the oldest and most important protein domain in evolution of lift. ${\bullet}$ Fault-tolerance: we found that the network is very robust as for the majority of superfamilies removal from the network will not break up the network. Overall, we can single out the P-loop containing nucleotide triphosphate hydrolases superfamily as it is the most highly connected and has the highest taxonomic diversity. In addition, this superfamily has the highest interaction rank, is the barycenter of the network (it has the shortest average path to every other superfamily in the network), and is an articulation vertex, whose removal will disconnect the network. More generally, we conclude that the graph-theoretic and taxonomic analysis of PSIMAP is an important step towards the understanding of protein function and could be an important tool for tracing the evolution of life at the molecular level.

  • 최근의 통신서비스 시장은 경쟁의 도입과 기술의 발전이라는 두 축에 힘입어 양질의 서비스를 보다 저렴한 요금으로 소비자들에게 제공하고자 노력하여 왔다. 그러나 이러한 통신서비스의 질적 향상 노력에도 불구하고 여전히 통신서비스의 품질은 소비자들의 기대수준에는 미치지 못하고 있다는 지적이 있다 더욱이 문제가 되는 것은 소비자가 인지하고 있는 통신 서비스 품질의 기대수준은 시간의 흐름에 따라 동태적으로 변화하는 것이어서 한 시점에서의 통신 서비스 품질 수준의 측정으로는 정책적으로 큰 의미를 설명하기 어려운 실정이다. 이와 관련하여 많은 선행 연구들이 다양한 측면에서 시행되어져 왔지만 이제까지의 많은 선행 연구들은 대부분이 통신서비스의 특성을 제대로 고려하지 않고, 고객만족의 향상과 불일치를 가져오고 있는 성능품질만을 측정한다거나, 시간의 흐름에 따라 변화해 가는 소비자가 서비스에 대해 인지하고 있는 중요도나 기대수준을 고려하지 않고 있으며, 각 구성요소간의 동태적 인과고리에 대한 고려 없이 연구가 이루어져 전반적인 통신 서비스의 고객만족을 전체적인 시각에서 평가한 연구는 극히 드물다. 따라서 본 연구는 통신서비스의 고객만족을 피드백 관점, 동태적 관점, 사실적 관점의 시스템 다이내믹스 방법론을 적용하여 전반적인 동태적 고객만족 모형을 구현하고 이를 정책적으로 활용할 수 있는가에 대한 접근을 시도하였다. 고객만족은 결코 한순간에 머물러 있는 것이 아니며 체감품질 및 기대수준의 영향을 받아 지속적으로 변화해간다 따라서 어떻게 기대수준을 관리하고 고객의 기대에 부응하는 체감품질을 관리하는 것이 지속적인 고객만족을 획득할 수 있는 가를 시뮬레이션 모형을 통해 가시적으로 시스템의 행태를 구현함으로써 그 이해의 폭을 넓히고자 시도하였다.으로써 웹에서의 혁신적이며 크로스 사이트, 크로스 장르적인 컨텐츠 플래닝의 가능성을 시사하는데 의의가 있다고 하겠다.y used to some of interactive storytelling through hyper text in CD-ROM and web sites. EDF: An Interactive Tool for Event Log Generation for Enabling Process Mining in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises

  • In this paper, we present EDF (Event Data Factory), an interactive tool designed to assist event log generation for process mining. EDF integrates various data connectors to improve its capability to assist users in connecting to diverse data sources. Our tool employs low-code/no-code technology, along with graph-based visualization, to help non-expert users understand process flow and enhance the user experience. By utilizing metadata information, EDF allows users to efficiently generate an event log containing case, activity, and timestamp attributes. Through log quality metrics, our tool enables users to assess the generated event log quality. We implement EDF under a cloud-based architecture and run a performance evaluation. Our case study and results demonstrate the usability and applicability of EDF. Finally, an observational study confirms that EDF is easy to use and beneficial, expanding small and medium-sized enterprises' (SMEs) access to process mining applications.

  • Analyzing protein-protein interactions(PPI) is an important task in bioinformatics as it can help in new drugs' discovery process. However, due to vast amount of PPI data and their complexity, efficient visualization of the data is still remained as a challenging problem. We have developed efficient and effective visualization system that integrates Gene Ontology(GO) and PPI network to provide better insights to scientists. To provide efficient data visualization, we have employed dynamic interactive graph drawing methods and context-based browsing strategy. In addition, quick and flexible cross-reference system between GO and PPI; LCA(Least Common Ancestor) finding for GO; and etc are supported as special features. In terms of interface, our visualization system provides two separate graphical windows side-by-side for GO graphs and PPI network, and also provides cross-reference functions between them.

Analysis of Efficiency of Bacillus subtilis To Treat Bagasse Based Paper and Pulp Industry Wastewater-A Novel Approach

  • In this present study, bagasse based pulp and paper industry wastewater was treated under different operating conditions such as initial pH (6-8), temperature ($25-35^{\circ}C$) and contact time (3-7 days) by using Bacillus subtilis. Response surface methodology (RSM) coupled with Box-Behnken response surface design (BBD) was employed to investigate the effect of process variables on the responses such as turbidity, biological oxygen demand (BOD) and chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal. The experimental data were analyzed by Pareto analysis of variance (ANOVA) and the second order polynomial models were developed. Interactive effects of the process variables on the responses were studied using plotting 3D response surface contour graph and the optimum process conditions were found to be: initial pH of 7, temperature of $30^{\circ}C$ and contact time of 5 days. Under these conditions, removal efficiencies of turbidity, BOD and COD were found to be 85%, 93% and 80% respectively which are close agreement with real experiments. These results indicate that the treatment of bagasse based pulp and paper industry wastewater using Bacillus subtilis is an effective and novel technique.
