The Interaction Picture (IP) method is a valuable alternative to Split-step methods for solving certain types of partial differential equations such as the nonlinear Schr$\ddot{o}$dinger equation or the Gross-Pitaevskii equation. Although very similar to the Symmetric Split-step (SS) method in its inner computational structure, the IP method results from a change of unknown and therefore do not involve approximation such as the one resulting from the use of a splitting formula. In its standard form the IP method such as the SS method is used in conjunction with the classical 4th order Runge-Kutta (RK) scheme. However it appears to be relevant to look for RK scheme of higher order so as to improve the accuracy of the IP method. In this paper we investigate 5th order Embedded Runge-Kutta schemes suited to be used in conjunction with the IP method and designed to deliver a local error estimation for adaptive step size control.

Hand posture recognition is an important technique to enable a natural and familiar interface in the human-computer interaction (HCI) field. This paper introduces a hand posture recognition method using a depth camera. Moreover, the hand posture recognition method is incorporated with the Moving Picture Experts Group Rich Media User Interface (MPEG-U) Advanced User Interaction (AUI) Interface (MPEG-U part 2), which can provide a natural interface on a variety of devices. The proposed method initially detects positions and lengths of all fingers opened, and then recognizes the hand posture from the pose of one or two hands, as well as the number of fingers folded when a user presents a gesture representing a pattern in the AUI data format specified in MPEG-U part 2. The AUI interface represents a user's hand posture in the compliant MPEG-U schema structure. Experimental results demonstrate the performance of the hand posture recognition system and verified that the AUI interface is compatible with the MPEG-U standard.
In ubiquitous computing, there is increasing demand for ubiquitous displays that react to a user's actions. We propose a method of navigating pictures on an ambient display using implicit interactions. The ambient display can identify the user and measure how far away they are using an RFID reader and ultrasonic sensors. When the user is a long way from the display, it acts as a digital picture and does not attract attention. When the user comes within an appropriate range for interaction, the display shows pictures that are related to the user and provides quasi-3D navigation using the TIP(tour into the picture) method. In addition, menus can be manipulated directly on a touch-screen or remotely using an air mouse. In an emergency, LEDs around the display flash to alert the user.
The input of digital TV software is the Transport Stream, which utilizes the moving picture compression technique, MPEC-2 (Moving Picture Experts Groups-2). MPEG-2 TS consists of the complicated table hierarchy and internal relationships, as well as the various restrictions with regards to system standard of digital TV software in determining the field values of transport stream. However, the general MPEG-2 TS generation tool produces transport streams solely based on the MPEG-2 TS specification itself, and does not consider the interaction between modulo features or modules themselves, which construct digital TV software. In this paper, we propose a method to systematically generate MPEG-2 TS test data, namely‘Test Stream’, for digital TV software. We present the experiment result where the test stream derived from our developed tool according to the proposed method was applied to the actual digital TV software settop-box, and then analyze the result. Apart from other existing MPEG-2 TS generation tools, the advantage of our method is that not only is it capable of generating various levels of test streams including digital TV software module, integration, and system testing, but also detecting errors and analyzing their causes.

This study aims to present explicit findings from an internal perspective, namely the interaction patterns of marketing communication between pentahelix elements and testing the expectations of tourists towards tourism activities through a simulation model between variables. This study is divided into two methods of analysis, namely qualitative explorative, where the study aims to invest in communication patterns and patterns of interaction between pentahelix stakeholders in Sitiwinangun Tourism Village, West Java, Indonesia with involve 17 informants who came from pentahelix elements (Government, academics, community, business and media). Second, quantitative method to measure the extent of effectiveness rather than collaboration activities and the role of marketing communication to tourist satisfaction is done by an analytical approach involving 30 tourists through customer satisfaction surveys. The results of this study illustrate that the involvement of each pentahelix element has not been maximized. The pattern of interaction and communication between elements also shows the gap between interests, expectations, and reality. This study provides a real picture that to realize a tourism program that is profitable, holistic, and sustainable requires collaboration that is wrapped with transparent and interactive communication patterns. The marketing communication concept approach combined with collaboration theory between stakeholders can be useful for sustainable tourism.
When studying the film industry, researchers have seldom addressed the dynamic interaction between marketing information and word of mouth in the motion picture industry mainly because of the limitation of traditional research methodologies. This study explores integration and competition among important variables influencing on audience's choice on movie selection, particularly by using a new method of agent-based modeling including competitive environment. Decision process of moviegoer composed of transition probability based on multinomial logit model, considering marketing and box-office information, critique, and word of mouth from other moviegoers. After validating the fitness of market share among released movies, this study conducted a set of simulation experiments considering several variables such as market size, change of weight between variables, and movie performance under competition. Propositions are derived from the simulation results is also suggested for future research.
Digilog book using augmented reality is a form that augmented reality is implemented by illuminating the camera embedded in the mobile image on the page registered as an image marker after downloading the application, which shows a fragmentary limitation in the content implementation method. Therefore, in this study, we proposed a pop-up multi-tracking method that enables two-way interaction in a digit log book using augmented reality technology. Through this, we commissioned an authorized agency to test the technical differentiation of augmented reality content for two prototypes of existing book-type Digilog Book and Pop-up-type Digilog Book. A test report was issued. The pop-up type digit log book suggested in this study enables the user to implement the interactive contents according to the user's action (movement). This can induce the interaction between the virtual image and the printed picture book and give the learner an interest and immersion, so that it is possible to express the interaction of the digital log book.
Listening comprehension is an integrative and creative process of interaction through which listeners receive speakers' production of linguistic or non-linguistic knowledge. Compared with reading comprehension, it may arouse difficulties and thus impose more burdens on foreign learners. The Audio-Lingual Method focused primarily on speaking. Mimicry, repetition, rote memory, and transformation drills actually interfered with listening comprehension. So learners lost interest and were not highly motivated. Improving listening comprehension requires continual attentiveness and interest. Listening skill can be extended systematically only when students are frequently exposed to a wide range of listening materials with an affective, cultural, social, and psycholinguistic approach. Therefore, teachers should help students learn how to comprehend intactly the overall meaning of intended messages. The literature on teaching listening skill suggests various useful activities: TPR, dictation, role playing, singing, picture recognition, completion, prediction, seeking specific information, summarizing, labeling, humor, jokes, cartoons, media, and so on. Practical classroom teaching necessitates a systematic procedure in which students should take part in meaningful tasks/activities. In addition to this, learners must practice listening comprehension trough a self-study process.

As a follow-up of our previous studies on flow-induced forces on two identical nearby circular cylinders immersed in the cross flow at Re=100 and flow patterns past them,$^{(1,2)}$ we present Reynolds-number effects on the forces and patterns by further computing flows with Re=40, 50, 160. We consider all possible arrangements of the two circular cylinders in terms of the distance between the two cylinders and the angle inclined with respect to the main flow direction. Collecting all the numerical results obtained, we propose contour diagrams for mean force coefficients and their rms of fluctuation as well as for flow patterns and Strouhal number for each Re. These diagrams shed light on a comprehensive picture on how the wake interaction between the two cylinders alters depending on Re.

Open education is more relevant to the current educational reality which requires the liberalization, individualization and creativeness, and the effectiveness of open education will be maximized with the full utilization of instructional media. As well known, there are many different types of instructional media to promote open education such as print material, audio material, still picture, movie, computer, and multimedia. The main criteria to choose effective instructional media for open education depend upon easiness of supply and retrieval of information, and promotion of more frequent interaction among participants. In addition, utilization method, cost, curriculum contents, as well as school culture are also elements to consider in the selection of right instructional media.
