This study deals with an important but ignored topic in IS research, the trustee issue. The purpose of this study, performed in the context of mobile banking, is: (1) to broaden the types of trustees (vendors, mobile channel, customers themselves) that customers consider in the adoption of emerging IT services and (2) to investigate the relationships between customer intention to adopt new IT services and trust in three different trustee types. The analysis showed that customers' self-trust is the most important in shaping their intention to adopt mobile banking. Consumer trust in the mobile channel came in second. Unlike the results of previous research, the effect of customers' trust in vendors was insignificant in mobile banking.

Over the years, numerous Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have been vigorously established across many countries. Even though the Internet of Things (IoT) has enabled companies to anchorage business returns, most Indonesian MSMEs are highly susceptible to failure and one of the main issues is the inability to manage their financials effectively. The literature on accounting points out that the success of MSMEs owing to the usage of cloud-based Accounting Information Systems (AIS) or Cloud Accounting (CA) could reduce the rate of failure by managing multiple accounting information at a low cost. Although many benefits exist, Indonesian MSMEs are not adopting these platforms in their daily business activities. This study investigates the factors that influence Indonesian MSMEs' intention to adopt CA. The study is directed by unstructured in-depth interviews with seven bestseller MSMEs where a thematic analysis technique was employed to identify them. The interview findings and prevailing literature on the influencing factors based on the TOE (technological, organizational, and environmental) framework to adopt CA in Indonesian MSMEs context are perceived benefits outweighing the cost, perceived compatibility, perceived complexity, owner-manager knowledge on accounting, organization size, competitive pressure, and informal network. The conceptual model further includes government intervention as a moderator in the model.
Purpose: By empirically analyzing factors that affect the intention to introduce RPA, we aim to increase understanding of RPA introduction in small and medium-sized businesses and contribute to establishing an effective introduction strategy. The aim is to improve the company's productivity, reduce costs, and strengthen its competitiveness. It also provides policy recommendations for the introduction of RPA. Methods: A survey was conducted to examine whether the technical, organizational, and environmental factors of the TOE framework had an impact on the intention to adopt RPA. We also used stepwise regression analysis to determine whether firm size moderates this relationship. Results: Technical factors, organizational factors, and environmental factors were all found to have a significant impact on small and medium-sized enterprises' intention to adopt RPA. It was confirmed that company size has a moderating effect affecting the intention to adopt RPA. In particular, customer pressure, relative advantage, competitive pressure, age, government support, and the perceived ease of use of RPA was a key determinant of its adoption by small and medium-sized enterprises. Conclusion: This suggests that small and medium-sized businesses should comprehensively consider technical, organizational, and environmental factors when introducing RPA. It is expected to increase understanding of RPA introduction in small and medium-sized businesses, contribute to establishing effective introduction strategies, and contribute to improving company productivity, reducing costs, and strengthening competitiveness.
The use of mobile payment services has recently increased in South Korea. Mobile payments allow consumers to purchase items digitally, using a mobile card in an app affiliated with a payment service. This study explores the predictors of intention to adopt mobile payment services. The study employed an A(affective)-B(behavioral)-C(cognitive) model with two antecedent variables: cognitive (perceived usefulness, perceived risk, perceived ease of use, and perceived herding behavior) and affective (satisfaction with the status quo, innovation resistance) responses. An online survey of 405 non-users of mobile payment services aged 20 to 49 years was conducted. The study used SPSS 23.0 for descriptive analysis and Amos 23.0 for confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modelling. The results are as follows. First, perceived usefulness, perceived risk, and perceived herding behavior significantly influenced innovation resistance. Second, perceived herding behavior significantly influenced subjective norms. Third, innovation resistance and subjective norms significantly influenced the intention to adopt mobile payment services. The findings suggest that the A-B-C model can be useful in understanding consumers' adoption and resistance behaviors and that cognitive and affective responses are important antecedent variables affecting the decision to adopt mobile payment services.

The purpose of the research is to analyze the behavioral intention to adopt social media in SMEs affected by the COVID-19 crisis, based on the TOE Model. This study uses the TOE framework as a theoretical basis. This research is important because COVID-19 has destroyed most of the SMEs, and SMEs are exposed to social media technology to market their products. The success of social media adoption has helped SMEs to be able to rise from adversity. Respondents in this study were 250 SMEs in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The data analysis technique used is structural equation modeling with AMOS. The results of this study indicate that SMEs affected by the COVID-19 crisis have a high awareness of social media and have a high intention to adopt social media as a way to market their products and connect with customers. The intention to adopt social media is significantly influenced by the technological context, organizational context, environmental context, and social media awareness. The findings of this study suggest that in times of crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Government support is needed. The Government needs to open services for SMEs whose businesses are affected by the pandemic.
The goal of this study is to determine, based on survey results, the underlying factors that affect the intention of the farmers who have not adopted the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) system for the rearing phase of pig production to adopt this system in the future. The research model for this study was con structed based on strategic contingency theory, the theory of the diffusion of innovation, and the technology acceptance model (TAM). Using structural equation modeling with partial least squares (PLS), this study analyzes the effects of the intensity of competition, the environmental uncertainty, the innovativeness and self-efficacy of the individual farmers, and the impact of the credibility of the Agricultural Technology Service Center (ATSC), which acts as the principal agent of technology dissemination and as a leader of change, on the perceived usefulness of technology and the farmers' intention to adopt the system. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, with regard to the underlying factors affecting the intention to adopt the new system, the intensity of competition within the industry and the institutional credibility of the ATSC were inferred to underlie the perceived usefulness. Second, institutional credibility has a positive impact on the perceived usefulness of the system, and the perceived usefulness, in turn, has a positive impact on the intention to adopt. The perceived ease of use also has a positive impact on the intention to adopt. Because the factor that has the biggest impact on the intention of a farm to adopt is the credibility of the ATSC, it is crucial for extension organizations, such as the ATSC, to make greater efforts to promote the expansion of the HACCP system. Because farmers feel that the implementation of the HACCP system is an instrumental strategy for coping with the high intensity of competition within the industry, they attempt to gain a competitive edge through the production of safe livestock products.

This paper aims to examine the main factors that influence the adoption of Islamic banking services in Indonesia. This research collects primary data by distributing questionnaires to 550 respondents in 29 provinces in Indonesia. A total of 550 questionnaires were returned comprising 34.2 percent male respondents and 65.8 percent female respondents. Most of the respondents were in the age group of 21-30 years with the highest level of education being high school. Most of the respondents were working in private firms, with a monthly expenditure of IDR 2,500,000. The independent variables in this study are bank reputation, perceived complexity, perceived compatibility, perceived risk, relative advantage, religiosity, and social influence. Meanwhile, the dependent variable is customer interest in adopting Islamic banking services. The result of this study indicates that awareness and perceived compatibility have a positive effect on customer intention to adopt Islamic banking services. Likewise, religiosity and social influence also have a significant and positive effect on customer intention to adopt Islamic banking services. Meanwhile, bank reputation and perceived complexity have no effect on customer intention to adopt Islamic banking services. Lastly, perceived risk has a negative and significant effect on customer intention of adopting Islamic banking services in Indonesia.

The purpose of this study is to investigate factors influencing Chinese consumers' intention to adopt Smartphones. This paper examines Smartphone characteristics factors (situational dependence, diversity and security) and consumer personality characteristics (innovation, self-efficacy and familarity) based on the Technology Acceptance Model. The 320 sets of data are tested against the model using SEM (structural equation model). The research results reveal that diversity and security have significant influences on both perceived usefulness and perceived playfulness. According to the data analysis, self-efficacy affects only perceived easy of use, and familiarity positively affects perceived easy of use, usefulness and playfulness. This study finds that perceived easy of use and perceived usefulness have positive influences on behavioral intention to adopt Smartphones, and situational dependence and innovation directly affect the behavioral intention. The perceived cost has a negative impact on the behavioral intention. Research results are discussed, and limitations of the current study and future research are presented.

The purpose of this paper is to (1) evaluate a proposed conceptual model based on integrated Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR); (2) compare the differences between Vietnam and South Korea regarding the effects of consumer perception of CSR activities and technology acceptance on intention to adopt mobile banking. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was conducted to analyze the data collected from the field survey questionnaires administered to a convenience sample of Vietnamese and Korean banking customers. The results showed that there is a difference between South Korea and Vietnam with regard to intention to use mobile banking services. While the effects of social responsibility and environmental responsibility on trust, trust on perceived usefulness, perceived risk on intention to use, perceived usefulness on intention to use were significant in the context of Vietnam but those effects were not significant in South Korea. Therefore, this study has attempted to fill this gap by empirically examining some of the important factors influencing the adoption of m-banking from the Vietnamese and Korean customers' perspectives. Finally, practical and theoretical implications for both banks and researchers in the m- banking context are also discussed in the concluding section.

Recently, there has been increasing interest in renewable energy in the agricultural sector. Agrophotovoltaics, producing electricity while farming, has attracted much attention. This study aims to identify the factors influencing the acceptance intention of Agrophotovoltaics. Using the UTAUT2 model, we designed a research model to examine the impact of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, facilitating conditions, social influence, and investment utility on the intention to adopt Agrophotovoltaics through the mediation effect of the user's innovativeness. We conducted a survey on farmers and obtained 212 responses for the final analysis. The results showed that effort expectancy and innovativeness significantly positively affected the intention to adopt Agrophotovoltaics. Furthermore, innovativeness was found to fully mediate the relationship among performance expectancy, facilitating conditions, investment utility, and acceptance intention. This suggests that focusing supportive measures on innovative groups could promote the adoption of Agrophotovoltaics.
