Background: Cardiovascular (CV) disease is known as one of the major causes of death from disease worldwide. Statin therapy plays a pivotal role in atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) lowering the LDL-cholesterol level effectively. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the association of the intensity of statin therapy in adult patients of Korea and the risk of ASCVD of the patient group. Methods: We used data from sample of patients from the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service (HIRA-NPS-2018). We analyzed the patterns of prescribing statins including types of statin, statin intensity, and number of patients with ASCVD or risk of ASCVD. Results: 155,512 patients were included in the analysis, and 27,950 patients (18.0%) was over 75 years. High-intensity statin usage was increased in ASCVD patients compared with the low-intensity statin use. The OR (odds ratio) of high-intensity statin were increased in myocardial infarction patients compared with low-intensity statin use showing the highest OR; 12.40 (95% CI; 9.48-16.22). At patient groups of angina, ischemic heart disease and carotid disease, high-intensity statin prescription rate was increased compared with low-intensity statin. However, there was no statistical significance between both statin prescription rates in patients of peripheral arterial disease, abdominal aneurysm, diabetic mellitus and atherosclerosis. Conclusion: The statin prescription rate showed intensity increasing tendency according to the risk of ASCVD. More aggressive statin therapy might be beneficial for the ASCVD patients based on the recent guidelines of dyslipidemia.

Purpose : This study examined the effect of transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) combined high intensity interval training (HIIT) on the aerobic exercise capacity of college soccer players. Methods : The subjects of this study were 30 college soccer players. They were divided into a high intensity interval training group combining transcranial direct current stimulation (Group I) and a high intensity interval training group (Group II). Each group had 15 subjects randomly assigned. After receiving general soccer training, each group additionally received high intensity interval training combined with transcranial direct current stimulation and high intensity interval training for 30 minutes 5 times a week for 8 weeks. Their VO2max and 20 meter shuttle run test, Yo-Yo intermittent recovery test were analyzed before the intervention. After 8 weeks of intervention, the above items were re-measured and an intergroup analysis was performed. Results : As a result of comparative analysis of VO2max intake between groups, 20 meter shuttle run test and Yo-Yo intermittent recovery test, a statistically significant difference was found. The high intensity interval training group (Group I) combined with transcranial direct current stimulation showed a significant difference in aerobic exercise capacity compared to the high intensity interval training group (Group II). Conclusion : These results showed that high intensity interval training group combined with transcranial direct current stimulation was more effective for aerobic exercise. Based on this study, this study proposes an effective program for patients as well as elite athletes. In the future, it is necessary to develop an effective transcranial direct current stimulation program and to study how to apply it for various patients.
The rainfall intensity is a very essential factor which must be considered for the estimation of the time of concentration. The rainfall intensity, however, is not fully considered for the estimation of the time of concentration due to the complexity of the equation of rainfall intensity. To increase accuracy of the time of concentration, the rainfall intensity and return period were included in the derivation of the time of concentration equations in this study. The equation of rainfall intensity is Sherman type and the regional coefficients were estimated from the rainfall intensity readings on the probability rainfall maps published by Ministry of Construction and Transportation. For simple calculation of rainfall intensities, the contour maps were drawn that expresses coefficients of the Sherman type equation. By substituting the Sherman type equation of rainfall intensity in the equation of the time of concentration, a relatively simple equation with no repeated calculation has been derived. From the study results, in order to include the influence of the rainfall intensity for the estimation of the time of concentration, it is highly recommended that the Sherman type equation of rainfall intensity be used. When one knows a location in Korea and a return period, he can estimate the coefficients of the rainfall intensity equation and calculate the time of concentration considering the rainfall intensity.
The purpose of this study was to the effects of exercise intensities in physical activity of 8 weeks, on fitness, blood lipid for middle school students with intellectual disabilities. Participants of the research were allocated by low-intensity(n=8, 40~54%HRR), middle-intensity(n=8, 55~69%HRR), and high-intensity(n=9, 70~85%HRR) exercise groups wirelessly. For setting and maintenance of individual exercise intensity, wireless heart rate monitor(RS-400, POLAR, Finland) was used. Fitness, BDNF, and blood lipid were measured equally before participating in physical activity and 8 weeks after participation. As a result, fitness and agility of high-intensity exercise group were significantly increased than low-intensity exercise group. BDNF of high-intensity exercise group was also significantly increased than low-intensity exercise group. For blood lipid, only total cholesterol showed differences by exercise intensity group and exercise group more than middle intensity showed significant reduction. In conclusion, when giving same exercise to middle school students with intellectual disabilities, fitness and BDNF were increased the mostly in high-intensity exercise group and total cholesterol was effective from the exercise of more than middle intensity.
Stress intensity factors for a planar crack parallel to a bimaterial interface are considered. The formulation leads to a system of hypersingular integral equations whose unknowns are three modes of crack opening displacements. In the numerical analysis, the unknown displacement discontinuities are approximated by the products of the fundamental density functions and polynomials. The numerical results show that the present method yields smooth variations of stress intensity factors along the crack front accurately. The mixed mode stress intensity factors are indicated in tables and figures with varying the shape of crack, distance from the interface, and elastic constants. It is found that the maximum stress intensity factors normalized by root area are always insensitive to the crack aspect ratio. They are given in a form of formula useful for engineering applications.

The finite element method were used to determine the stress intensity factor of cracked plate. The stress method, displacement method and J Integral are most popular finte element method. ANSYS proposed another a kind of displacement method. In this paper, it was examined that the accuracy and utility of the ANSYS method could believable to determine the stress intensity factors of centered inclined crack. Generally, inclined crack has two portion of stress intensity factors, tensile mode F1 and shear mode F2. For the purpose of increasing the accuracy of stress intensity factors, examined the effect of the numbers of nodes and elements, crack tip element size and number of partition of the crack tip vicinity. It was found that the method proposed by ANSYS is useful and has high accuracy. Accuracy of calculated stress intensity factors was increased by increase of the number of nodes and elements, and at the small size of crack tip elements can get more highly accuracy.
In [15] they introduced a new finite element method for accurate numerical solutions of Poisson equations with corner singularities, which is useful for the problem with known stress intensity factor. They consider the Poisson equations with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition, compute the finite element solution using standard FEM and use the extraction formula to compute the stress intensity factor, then they pose a PDE with a regular solution by imposing the nonhomogeneous boundary condition using the computed stress intensity factor, which converges with optimal speed. From the solution we could get accurate solution just by adding the singular part. This approach works for the case when we have the accurate stress intensity factor. In this paper we consider Poisson equations with mixed boundary conditions and show the method depends the accrucy of the stress intensity factor by considering two algorithms.

This paper concentrates on models useful for analyzing the error performance of ML(Maximum Likelihood) estimators of a single unknown signal parameter: that is the error intensity model. We first develop the point process representation for the estimation error and the conditional distribution of the estimator as well as the distribution of error candidate point process. Then the error intensity function is defined as the probability dessity of the estimate and the general form of the error intensity function is derived. We then develop several intensity models depending on the way we choose the candidate error locations. For each case, we compute the explicit form of the intensity function and discuss the trade-off among models as well as the extendability to the case of multiple parameter estimation.
The arc sensor has been most widely used for weld seam tracking through welding current or voltage variation. In this work, the relation between the arc light intensity and welding condition is investigated using heat balance in the Plasma for its possible application to seam tracking in the GMAW process. The arc light intensity is derived to be the function of the arc length and welding current Experiments are carried out to verify the proposed heat balance model. Performances of least square and integration methods to process the signals for seam tracking are compared experimentally. Predicted arc light intensity shows reasonably good agreement with experimental results. The weld seam is successfully tracked through the arc light intensity. The least square and integration methods demonstrate almost same performance of seam tracking with $CO_2$gas shielding.

A model is constructed to evaluate the stress intensity factors for a center crack subjected to polynomial anti-symmetric loading in a layered material. A Fredholm integral equation is derived by Fourier integral transform method. The integral equation is numerically analyzed to evaluate the effects of the ratios of shear modulus, Poisson's ratio and crack length to layer thickness as well as the number of layers on the stress intensity factor. The stress intensity factors are approached to constant values as the number of layers increase and decrease as the polynomial power of the loading increase. In case of the E-glass/Epoxy composite, dimensionless stress intensity factor is affected by cracked-resin layer thickness.
