  • As vehicles are more intelligent for convenience and safety of drivers, the in-vehicle networking systems and smart modules are essential components for intelligent vehicles. However, for the smart module to widely apply to the IVN systems, two problems are considered as follows. Firstly, because it is very difficult that transducer manufacturers developed the smart module that supports the existing all IVN protocols, the smart module must be independent to the type of networking protocols. Secondly, when the smart module is exchanged due to its failure, it is necessary how the transducer is only exchanged without exchange of the microprocessor and network transceiver. This paper deals with the IEEE 1451 based smart module that describes the digital interface between a network transceiver and sensor module. Finally. efficiency of the IEEE 1451 based smart module was evaluated on the experimental model.

논리연산을 이용한 주행차량 영상분할 (Segmentation of Moving Multiple Vehicles using Logic Operations)

  • 본 논문은 논리연산을 이용한 주행차량들의 영상분할 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 연속된 프레임 간에 XOR(Exclusive OR)연산을 행함으로써 차영상을 구하였고, Laplacian 필터링, AND 연산, 팽창(dilation)연산 등을 이용하여 주행차량들에 대해서만 에지들을 추출하고 이들을 영상분할 함으로써 기존방법에 비해 평활화 단계에서 나타날 수 있는 잡음을 제거하였고, 전처리 단계를 줄였으며, 알고리즘을 단순화 하였다 또한 분할된 영상으로부터 컬러 등 주행차량의 특징을 직접 추출 가능토록 하였다. 30fps로 90,000프레임 이상 촬영 된 주행차량들을 대상으로 제안된 알고리즘의 우수성을 보였다

  • Announcement protocol in Internet of Vehicles (IoV) is an intelligent application to enhance public safety, alleviate traffic jams and improve transportation quality. It requires communication between vehicles, roadside units and pedestrian to disseminate safety-related messages. However, as vehicles connected to internet, it makes them accessible globally to a potential adversary. Safety-related application requires a message to be reliable, however it may intrude the privacy of a vehicle. Contrarily, if some misbehaviour emerges, the malicious vehicles must be able to traceable and revoke from the network. This is a contradiction between privacy and accountability since the privacy of a user should be preserved. For a secure communication among intelligent entities, we propose a novel announcement protocol in IoV using group signature. To the best of our knowledge, our work is the first comprehensive construction of an announcement protocol in IoV that deploys group signature. We show that our protocol efficiently solves these conflicting security requirements of message reliability, privacy and accountability using 5G communication channel. The performance analysis and simulation results signify our work achieves performance efficiency in IoV communication.

전기자동차의 조향과 추진을 위한 지능형 통합 제어 시스템 (An intelligent integrated control system for steering and traction of electric vehicles)

  • An intelligent integrated control system is designed for the active steering and the left/right traction force distribution control of electric vehicles, where input-output linearization is employed. Also, a fuzzy-rule-based cornering force estimator is suggested to avoid using an uncertain highly nonlinear expression, and a neural network compensator is additively utilized for the estimator to correctly find cornering forece. With these techniques, the proposed control system is shown by simulation results to be robust against drastic change of the external environments such as road conditions.

Intelligent Soft Driving System for an Electric Four-wheeled Vehicle Eluding Dynamic Obstacles

  • There are electric four-wheeled vehicles to assist elder people. Because of the vehicles'dynamic characteristic such as impossible to move abeam, it is difficult for these people who has little experience and has little knowledge to drive. Also to judge the future state of dynamic obstacles and to decide how to elude them safely are more difficult. We installed the predictive fuzzy controller(evaluates the future states which several kinds of operation candidates were done and chooses the best one) that modeled humans'algorithms in the system. Human predicts the future states of dynamic obstacles and chooses an operation(wait, steer, go back, etc) to elude safely. To elude dynamic obstacles flexibly, we added expert's knowledge for safe driving to this controller. In this paper, we propose the intelligent soft driving system by the controller that can elude dynamic obstacles safely, and we confirm the effectiveness by a simulation.

  • 최근 지능형자동차 기술은 IT와 융합되어 새로운 첨단 영상미디어 응용기술로 발전하며, 오픈소스 기반의 안드로이드를 탑제한 스마트폰 응용기술과 지능형자동차 개발이라는 새로운 패러다임으로 많은 연구개발이 이루어지고 있다. 안드로이드 기반의 지능형자동차 응용 기술은 이동수단의 한계를 넘어 다양한 멀티미디어 중심의 집합기술로 진화하고 있으며, 이러한 분산 환경에서 개발되어 있는 각각의 멀티미디어 플랫폼서비스와 애플리케이션이 개발되고 있음에 따라 다양한 서비스 기술을 통한 휴대 단말장치기술이 절대적으로 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 안드로이드 기반의 지능형 자동차 전용 미들웨어 설계를 통하여 단일형 시스템 스펙에 맞춰 SVC Codec과 실시간 동영상, 그래픽처리등 지능형자동차 미들웨어 SoC 설계를 통해 응용 연구를 실험 하였으며, 오픈플랫폼에서 제공되는 각종 단말서비스 기능들을 SoC 기반으로 새롭게 설계하고 표준화된 인터페이스 분석기법을 본 연구에서 실험을 통하여 입증하였다.

가우시안 혼합모델 기반 3차원 차량 모델을 이용한 복잡한 도시환경에서의 정확한 주차 차량 검출 방법 (Accurate Parked Vehicle Detection using GMM-based 3D Vehicle Model in Complex Urban Environments)

  • Recent developments in robotics and intelligent vehicle area, bring interests of people in an autonomous driving ability and advanced driving assistance system. Especially fully automatic parking ability is one of the key issues of intelligent vehicles, and accurate parked vehicles detection is essential for this issue. In previous researches, many types of sensors are used for detecting vehicles, 2D LiDAR is popular since it offers accurate range information without preprocessing. The L shape feature is most popular 2D feature for vehicle detection, however it has an ambiguity on different objects such as building, bushes and this occurs misdetection problem. Therefore we propose the accurate vehicle detection method by using a 3D complete vehicle model in 3D point clouds acquired from front inclined 2D LiDAR. The proposed method is decomposed into two steps: vehicle candidate extraction, vehicle detection. By combination of L shape feature and point clouds segmentation, we extract the objects which are highly related to vehicles and apply 3D model to detect vehicles accurately. The method guarantees high detection performance and gives plentiful information for autonomous parking. To evaluate the method, we use various parking situation in complex urban scene data. Experimental results shows the qualitative and quantitative performance efficiently.

차량 전원 안정성 향상을 위한 Diagnosis System 채택 Intelligent Smart Junction Box 개발 (Development of Diagnosis System Adopted Intelligent Smart Junction Box for Improving Vehicular Power Safety)

  • These days the automobile industry, which has rapidly progressed, has been an indispensable part in social and economic activities as well as its research and development have been activated in response to various needs of consumers and markets. The second and third generation control system, getting count on safety and convenience differently than early circuits, cause the hypertrophy of wire harness. The J/Box(Junction Box), which distributes power and wires, was developed to solve the problem. As vehicles have been better in quantity and intelligence, however, environment-friendly electric apparatus system has continuously increased and ITS(Intelligent Transport System) has been introduced in earnest. In result, wires got complicated and multilateral and also there has been a stronger probability that vehicles are out of order due to various problems including mechanical failure. In this study, ISJB(Intelligent Smart Junction Box) was introduced to solve the problem. The diagnosis system was applied to prevent the overload and short of ISJE. Also, the state of vehicles displayed so that drivers monitor it in motion. Likewise error data are saved in the memory so that such data can be analyzed retrospectively. The busbar was adopted in to the main power terminal and the part of power pattern was coverd by lead. Because ISJB is more sensitive to heat in comparison to the busbar type J/Box. With regard the circuits related with safe, alternative circuits were set up in order that electronic devices may be normally operated even when an error arises. ISJB is expected to improve the safety and quality of vehicles.

퍼지 기법을 이용한 지능형 교통 신호 제어 (Intelligent Traffic Light Control using Fuzzy Method)

  • 본 논문에서는 실시간으로 변하는 차량에 따라 퍼지 제어 기법을 이용하여 교통 신호를 효율적으로 제어하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 교통 신호 제어 방법은 교차로 각 차선에 대해 구간을 나누어서 각 구간의 차량의 수와 점유 시간에 대한 소속 함수를 설계한다. 설계된 소속 함수에서 소속도를 구한 후 퍼지 제어 규칙을 적용하여 Max-Min 방법으로 추론한다. 그리고 비퍼지화를 수행한 후에 우선순위를 정한다. 우선순위가 같을 경우에는 점유시간과 차량 수의 비율의 합, 각 구간에 대한 표준편차를 이용하여 우선순위를 정한다. 가장 높은 우선순위를 가지는 현시에 대해 진행 신호를 부여하고 나머지는 대기한다. 진행 신호의 시간은 교차로에 대기하는 모든 차량의 수와 진행 신호를 부여받은 현시의 차량의 수를 이용하여 계산한다. 본 논문에서 제안된 퍼지 신호 제어 기법과 정적인 신호 제어 기법에 대해 시뮬레이션을 통해 실험한 결과, 차량 혼잡도와 상관없이 제안된 차량 신호 제어 기법이 동일한 시간에 더 많은 차량이 원활하게 소통되는 것을 확인하였다.
