  • What is the term "intelligence information society", which is a term that has been continuously discussed recently? This means that the automation beyond the limits of human ability in the whole societies based on intelligent information technology is a universalized social future. In particular, it is a concept that minimizes human intervention and continuously pursues evolution to data (or big data) -based automation. For example, autonomous automation is constantly aiming at unmanned vehicles with artificial intelligence as a key element. However, until now, intelligent information research has focused on the intelligence itself and has made an effort to improve intelligence logic and replace human brain and intelligence. On the other hand, in order to replace the human labor force, we have continued to make efforts to replace workers with robots by analyzing the working principles of workers and developing optimized simple logic. This study proposes important strategies and directions to implement intelligent information education policy and intelligent information technology research strategy by suggesting access strategy, education method and detailed policy road map for intelligent information technology research strategy and educational service. In particular, we propose a phased approach to intelligent information education such as basic intelligence education, intelligent content education, and intelligent application education. In addition, we propose education policy plan for the improvement of intelligent information technology, intelligent education contents, and intelligent education system as an important factor for success and failure of the 4th industrial revolution, which is centered on intelligence and automation.

  • The intelligent information society is expected to drastically change our lives. The purpose of this content is to derive tasks in the field of media education for the elderly for the realization of digital inclusion in an intelligent information society. To this end, the vision, goals, strategies, and tasks of the intelligent information society were examined through the 6th National Informatization Basic Plan(2018~2022) and the 2022 Education Informatization White Paper(2022). In addition, the current status of the digital gap among the elderly classified as vulnerable groups was identified through the results of the 2022 Digital Information Gap Survey. In order to ease the digital information gap between the elderly in the intelligent information society, it is believed that the development of intelligent media education services using intelligent information technology, provision of media education services for the elderly through learning online service channels, and support for digital intelligent media education for the elderly are necessary.

  • Simple Genetic Algorithm(SGA) proposed by J. H. Holland is a population-based optimization method based on the principle of the Darwinian natural selection. The theoretical foundations of GA are the Schema Theorem and the Building Block Hypothesis. Although GA goes well in many applications as an optimization method, still it does not guarantee the convergence to a global optimum in some problems. In designing intelligent systems, specially, since there is no deterministic solution, a heuristic trial-and error procedure is usually used to determine the systems' parameters. As an alternative scheme, therefore, there is a growing interest in a co-evolutionary system, where two populations constantly interact and co-evolve. In this paper we review the existing co-evolutionary algorithms and propose co-evolutionary schemes designing intelligent systems according to the relation between the system's components.

  • The accident rate in the South Korean construction industry has increased by 50% over the past ten years, reaching seven times the average growth rate of the entire industry. However, the number of management personnel at construction sites is decreasing, making it increasingly difficult to establish a safety monitoring system through professional personnel. This study aims to develop an intelligent control system to address the problem of insufficient management personnel and support the establishment of a continuous safety monitoring system. This system consists of a mobile information collection robot (S-BOT) and an intelligent algorithm. The visual information collected by S-BOT can be analyzed in real-time using computer vision-based intelligent algorithms to detect unsafe situations. The results of this study will contribute to preventing unnecessary social and economic losses by maximizing safety management efficiency and supporting timely decision-making through the sharing of information provided by the intelligent control system.
