  • In a spread spectrum system, the bandwidth and period of spreading code is wide and long, respectively. So it is necessary to make the code acquisition time as short as possible. In particular, serial search code acquisition system requires optimum dwell time for fast acquisition. In this paper, code acquisition time is calculated by varying dwell time. Among them, minimum code acquisition time is chosen and then optimum dwell time can be obtained. Detection probability (P$_{D}$) and false alarm probability (P$_{FA}$) can be obtained by integrating chi-square pdf by numerical analysis. The results are compared with that of gaussian approximation method and then it is concluded gaussian approximation method is not suitable for obtaining optimum dwell time. Computer simulation supports theoretical results.

  • When the signals from satellite vehicles are blocked, it is impossible to provide positioning information. Integrating CDGPS with INS, the performances of output can be greatly improved. In the CDGPS/INS integrated system, the error growth in INS can be efficiently suppressed due to CDGPS. On the contrary, the search range of integer ambiguities can be reduced with the aids of INS. Furthermore, cycle slips in carrier phase measurements can be easily detected using INS. The paper presents a CDGPS/INS integrated system that utilizes CDGPS aided with INS.   • The rotating machineries always generate harmonic frequencies of their own rotating speed, and increment of vibration amplitude affects to the equipments which connected to the vibrational source and causes industrial calamities. The life cycle of equipments can be extended and damages to the human beings could be prevented by identifying the cause of malfunctions through prediction of the increment of vibration and records of vibrational history. In this study, therefore, diagnostic expert algorithm for the centrifugal pump is developed by integrating fuzzy inference method and signal processing techniques. And the validity of the developed diagnostic system is examined via various computer simulations.

  • In this work, we propose a new type of HDD suspension featuring shape memory ally (SMA) actuator in order to prevent the contact between the slider and disk. The principal design parameters are obtained from the modal analysis using finite element analysis, and then the dynamic model is established to formulate the control scheme for Non-Contact Start/Stop mode drive. Subsequently, a robust Η$_{\infty}$, control algorithm is designed by integrating experimentally-obtained SMA actuator dynamics to the proposed suspension system. The controller is empirically realized and control results for different load/unload profiles are presented in time domain. In addition, the contact signal between the slider and disk is measured by the electrical resistance method.istance method.

A Galerkin Layerwise Formulation for three-dimensional stress analysis in long sandwich plates

  • A layerwise (LW) formulation based on the Galerkin method is presented to investigate the three-dimensional stress state in long sandwich plate which is subjected to tension force and pure bending moment. Based on the Galerkin method and the LW discretization approach, the equilibrium equations of elasticity for the long plate are written in the weak form and discretized through the thickness of the plate. The discretized equations are written in terms of displacement components of the numerical layers. The governing equations of the plate are solved analytically for the free edge boundary conditions. The distribution of stress state especially the 3D stress state in the vicinity of the edges of the sandwich plate which is subjected to tension and pure bending is studied. In order to increase the accuracy, the out of plane stresses are obtained by integrating the equilibrium equations of elasticity. The convergence and accuracy of the predictions are studied and various numerical results are presented for distribution of the in-plane and out of plane stresses in symmetric and un-symmetric sandwich plates.

  • 규칙 기반 접근 제어가 신분 기반 접근 제어의 완전한 대체 방법이 아니듯이 직무 기반 접근 제어도 신분 기반 접근 제어와 규칙 기반 접근 제어의 병합이 아닌 상호 보완적인 방법이다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 접근 제어 메커니즘을 통합하여 보안성 무결성 및 흐름 제어 보안 기능을 제공하며 직무 중심 조직의 접근 제어 요구를 용이하게 수용할 수 있는 새로운 방식의 통합 접근 제어를 위한 시뮬레이션 모델을 설계하여 이를 실제의 응용 시스템에 적용할 수 있도록 한다.

  • The high speed rolling stock system considerably belongs to a special industry which requires large-scale investment cost but the recovery term is long. Therefore, to guarantee risk and possibility of technological success in initial investment, tools concerned with various expecting methods like life cycle costs analysis and credibility management are used. In view of this characteristics, the cases on cost structure for HSR RS previously invested should be studied and the method to appropriately allocate the life cycle of each sub-system like arrangement unit, electric device, braking device, door and car body should be realized. Moreover, the environmental aspects of main manufacturer and parts supplier can be checked. This study, through the case study for HSR cost structure in introduction and operational stage of KTX, aims to seek for the method to adapt to environmental changes like EU railway industry of which object is to acquire global market competitiveness by integrating manufacturing and operation of RS and the regulation and operation of IRIS which is performed in Europe.

  • Using a two-dimensional numerical model, nuclide transport in the buffer between the canister and adjacent rock in a high-level radioactive waste repository is dealt with. Calculations are made for a typical case with a three-member decay chain, $^{234}$ U longrightarrow $^{230}$ Th longrightarrow $^{226}$ Ra. The solution method used here is based on a physically exact formulation by a control volume method directly integrating the governing equation over each control volume.

해양유류오염사고 위해도 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Pollution Risk Assessment of Oil Spill Accidents)

  • The purpose of this study was to establish an assessment method for the estimation of the pollution risk by oil spill accidents. Various oil spill patterns were calculated based on past accidents in the study area and these results were analyzed statistically. Then the risk probability, the oil arrival time, risk range, and so on were calculated. These calculations were performed for sub area sectors, fisheries and aquaculture farms, based on information about environmentally sensitive resources. Finally, the risk to each sub area sector was assessed by comparing the calculated results. These consequences indicated the objective and general risks of oil spill accidents and the result of this method will be made more appropriate by integrating real time risk predictions.

  • This paper proposes a unit commitment scheduling method based on hybrid genetic algorithm(GA). When the systems are scaled up, conventional genetic algorithms suffer from computational time limitations because of the growth of the search space. So greatly reduce the search space of the GA and to efficiently deal with the constraints of the problem, priority list unit ordering scheme are incorporated as the initial solution and the minimum up and down time constraints of the units are included. The violations of other constraints are handled by integrating penalty factors. To show the effectiveness of the proposed method. test results for system of 10 units is compared with results obtained using other methods.
