Purpose The healthcare services have drawn so much public attention, and many organizations such as schools and companies require the individuals to undergo the periodic health examination. In general, however, the mass health examination services are not managed in systematic way, and both examinees and medical staffs often experience much inconvenience while preparing, undergoing and managing the services. To address such problems, this paper aims to design the Health Examination Management System (HEMS), an integrated management system for mass health examination operations management, and implement its prototype. Design/methodology/approach First of all, HEMS enables the medical staffs to efficiently collect and manage the examination result data by supporting examination service management. Second, the users can efficiently analyze the cause-and-effect relationships among the examination items by using the visualization tool of HEMS based on the cluster heat map. Finally, the HEMS provides the operational supports for evaluating and managing the service performances. Findings The HEMS indicates that the conventional operations management approaches can be incorporated into the mass health examination services, and it is expected that the proposed system enables the examinees and the medical staffs to participate in such services in more efficient way.
With all the recent progresses in computer hardware and software technology, the animation of fluids in real-time is still among the most challenging issues of computer graphics. The fluid animation is carried out in two steps - the physical simulation of fluids immediately followed by the visual rendering. The physical simulation is usually accomplished by numerical methods utilizing the particle dynamics equations as well as the fluid mechanics based on the Navier-Stokes equations. Particle dynamics method is usually fast in calculation, but the resulting fluid motion is conditionally unrealistic. The methods using Navier-Stokes equation, on the contrary, yield lifelike fluid motion when properly conditioned, yet the complexity of calculation restrains this method from being used in real-time applications. This article presents a rapid fluid animation method by using the continuum-based fluid mechanics and the enhanced particle dynamics equations. For real-time rendering, pre-integrated volume rendering technique was employed. The proposed method can create realistic fluid effects that can interact with the viewer in action, to be used in computer games, performances, installation arts, virtual reality and many similar multimedia applications.

The content curation service through big data analysis is receiving great attention in various content fields, such as film, game, music, and book. This service recommends personalized contents to the corresponding user based on user's preferences. The existing book curation systems recommended books to users by using bibliographic citation, user profile or user log data. However, these systems are difficult to recommend books related to character names or spatio-temporal information in text contents. Therefore, in this paper, we suggest a personalized book curation system based on integrated mining of a book. The proposed system consists of mining system, recommendation system, and visualization system. The mining system analyzes book text, user information or profile, and SNS data. The recommendation system recommends personalized books for users based on the analysed data in the mining system. This system can recommend related books using based on book keywords even if there is no user information like new customer. The visualization system visualizes book bibliographic information, mining data such as keyword, characters, character relations, and book recommendation results. In addition, this paper also includes the design and implementation of the proposed mining and recommendation module in the system. The proposed system is expected to broaden users' selection of books and encourage balanced consumption of book contents.

Pharmacogenomics research requires an intelligent integration of large-scale genomic and clinical data with public and private knowledge resources. We developed a web-based knowledge base for KPRN (Korea Pharmacogenomics Research Network, http://kprn.snubi. org/). Four major types of information is integrated; genetic variation, drug information, disease information, and literature annotation. Eighteen Korean pharmacogenomics research groups in collaboration have submitted 859 genotype data sets for 91 disease-related genes. Integrative analysis and visualization of the large collection of data supported by integrated biomedical pathways and ontology resources are provided with a user-friendly interface and visualization engine empowered by Generic Genome Browser.
This paper introduce a structure of haptic collaboration system over high resolution tiled-display, and proposes a object based efficient display method for high resolution display in integrated system. in addition, a modeling of visualization system is defined to evaluate performance of the proposed method. Both haptic system and tiled-display system have requirements of computational power. A haptic device is unstable if haptic rendering rate is less than 1kHz. A requirement of tiled-display systems is frame rate of display. It requires update of 30 frame fer sec. If we use these systems independently, we can satisfy each requirements. However, if we integrate two systems, performance of entire system significantly decreases because of lack of resources. In this paper, therefore, we propose a segmentation-based display method for ultra high resolution display in integrated system. The proposed method reduces redundancy of display data by reducing a display rate of static objects. Finally, a modeling of visualization system is defined to evaluate performance of the proposed method.
The testis is major male gonad responsible for spermatogenesis and steroidogenesis. Much knowledge is still remained to be learned about the control of these events. In this study, we performed a comprehensive bioinformatics analysis on 1,196 mouse testis proteins screened from public protein database. Integrated function and pathway analysis were performed through Database for Annotation, Visualization and Integrated Discovery (DAVID) and ingenuity Pathway Analysis (IPA), and significant features were clustered. Protein membrane organization and gene density on chromosomes were analyzed and discussed. The enriched bioinformatics analysis could provide clues and basis to the development of diagnostic markers and therapeutic targets for infertility and male contraception.

본 논문에서는 지리정보시스템의 대표적인 형식이고 국립지리원에서 제공하고 있는 DXF(Drawing eXchange Format)파일 포맷과 현재 사용되고 있는 지리 정보인 DWG(DraWinG), SHP(SHaPefile)등의 포맷을 통합된 하나의 뷰어를 통해 가시화하기 위한 IMP(Integrated Map Preprocessor)를 설계한다. 또한 Mobile 지리정보시스템 환경에서의 데이터 활용을 효과적으로 하기 위해 추출된 정보를 공통된 기준의 의미부여로 인덱싱화하여 DB에 저장한다.
It is now the era of ubiquitous which is highly integrated on the convergence technologies with not only ICT bul also BT, CT, NT and ST. Through this convergence technology, the understanding on visualization of 3D virtual reality which make more human's 5 feelings activate beyond the wall of time and space is recently very important. We search the visualization technology of 3D virtual reality and estimate the future development, and give the perspectives. Since the visualization technology of virtual reality is strongly depended on 3D computer graphics representations, 3D image visualization technology being able to get immersion has been possible. The new paradym on computer interactions is implemented by making images augment on the base of the PC and display equipments. The studies is established on the direction of more intensity on humanity. And also, these technologies will be able to achieve actively the implementations for ubiquitous society dueing to get the high-technology on the superhighway networks.

BARAM system that means 'wind' in Korean has been established as a virtual wind tunnel system for aircraft design. Its aim is to provide researchers with easy-to-use, production-level environment for all stages of CFD simulation. To cope with this goal an integrated environment with a set of CFD solvers is developed and coupled with an highly-efficient visualization software. BARAM has three improvements comparing with previous CFD simulation environments. First, it provides a new automatic mesh generation method for structured and unstructured grid. Second, it also provides real-time visualization for massive CFD data set. Third, it includes more high-fidelity CFD solvers than commercial solvers.

This paper proposes a real-time 3D visualization system for situational awareness of Air force operations. This 3D system of situational awareness supports a high-level commander of Air force during the war game operations. These situation aware supporting data such as the aircraft track data of radar, aircraft schedule database, map and satellite image data are integrated into one structured data and those are visualized as 3D structure. By using an Out-of-Core method, we can visualize a 3D huge data in real-time in mobile notebook environment. The experiment shows several examples of 3D visualization supporting situation awareness for Air force operation.
