Quality Analysis for the Data Distribution Service of the Real-time Integrated Railway Safety Monitoring and Control System (실시간 철도안전 통합 감시제어시스템의 데이터 분산 서비스 품질 적합성 분석)

  • In this paper, we analyse DDS(Data Distribution Service) QoSs(Quality of Services) with experiments, which can control the network transmission quality provided by 'Object Management Group' DDS standard to satisfy the data transmission quality requirements of 'Real-time integrated railway safety monitoring and control system(RIRSMCS)'. 'RIRSMCS' is a system for collecting and analyzing data from various sensors at a railway field to predict and prevent the risk of potential railway accidents. Data transmission quality should be ensured for transmitting the collected data in real-time, accurately and stably for this system. Experimental results show that it is possible to ensure real-time, accurate and stable data transmission for monitoring and control of railway safety using DDS QoS.

  • This paper presents methods to design an integrated system for supporting both multimedia contents creations and its presentation in a windows system. Especially, it describes methods for designing an integrated editor that can be used to crate and edit various media data including continuous media such as audio and video. And it also proposes a system model for systematically integrating multimedia creating tool with multimedia presentation system where the heeling and scenario-based presentation methods are included in the propose system for supporting effective multimedia presentation through a network Finally, we describe a threads processing technique based on event monitoring to satisfy effectively needs for presentation control, synchronization control, and user's input control during a multimedia presentation.

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient grid-independent ESS control system through the control of renewable energy and agricultural ICT by utilizing the prediction of energy production and consumption. The proposed system is an integrated management system that can perform maintenance and monitoring by visualizing the accurate phase and data of power system. It can automatically cope, collect, process, and control the data. Also, it can analyze the power generation of solar power generation, consumption pattern of installed facilities, and operation trend of facilities. Further, it can predict the consumption of energy production and present the optimal energy management method by using the OpenAPI of the Korea Meteorological Administration, thereby reducing unnecessary energy consumption and operating cost.

  • Elevator industry is a field that is mechanical, electrical and electronic technology and constantly requires inspection and maintenance considering various applications and various types. Recently, various elevator control and monitoring technologies with IT are developing for elevators on land. But technologies with IT have been hardly done in marine elevator that is consistently assured safety and reliability of life cycle for its parts in poor environment. In this paper, we implemented embedded main controller, floor controller and car controller that meet the requirements and use NMEA network protocol by analyzing home and abroad integrated elevator operation and management systems. Especially, we secured reliability of maintenance by real-time fault diagnosis and control that was implemented with limit switch, gyro sensor, temperature/humidity/barometric pressure sensor and fire detection sensor thinking over the environmental conditions of terrestrial and marine elevator.

  • According to the COVID-19, development of various medical software based on IoT(Internet of Things) was accelerated. Especially, interest in a central software system that can remotely monitor and control ventilators is increasing to solve problems related to the continuous increase in severe COVID-19 patients. Since medical device software is closely related to human life, this study aims to develop central monitoring system that can remotely monitor and control multiple ventilators in compliance with medical device software development standards and to verify performance of system. In addition, to ensure the safety and reliability of this central monitoring system, this study also specifies risk management requirements that can identify hazardous situations and evaluate potential hazards and confirms the implementation of cybersecurity to protect against potential cyber threats, which can have serious consequences for patient safety. As a result, we obtained medical device software manufacturing certificates from MFDS(Ministry of Food and Drug Safety) through technical documents about performance verification, risk management and cybersecurity application.

  • Current subway station's office employee must perform safety management tasks by monitoring the various safety management systems. But these monitoring systems are limited in effective situational awareness and response to a state of emergency immediately. It is necessary to develop an integrated safety management system display. In this study, we developed subway station safety management system's (CCTV, fire detection & alarm system, screen door control equipment) integrated prototype display with ecological interface design framework and evaluated prototype display interface's usability with GOMS model. The result was that the ecological interface's performance was better than existing safety management system's interface.

  • Diseases in the gastro-intestinal tract are on an increasing trend. In order to diagnose a patient, various signals of the digestive organ, such as temperature, pH, and pressure, can offer the helpful information. Among the above mentioned signals, we choose the pressure variation as a monitoring signal. The variation of a pressure signal of the gastro-intestinal tract can offer the information of a digestive trouble or some clues of the diseases. In this paper, a pressure monitoring system for the digestive organs of a living pig is presented. This is why a pig's gastro-intestinal tract is very similar as human's. This system concept is to transmit the measured biomedical signals from a transmitter in a living pig to a wireless receiver that is positioned out of body. The integrated solution includes the swallow type pressure capsule and the receiving set consisting of a receiver, decoder circuit. The merit of the proposed system is that the monitoring system can supply the precise and a durable characteristic to measure and to transmit a signal in the gastro-intestinal tract. We achieved the pressure tracings in digestive organs and verified the validity of system after several in-vivo tests using the pressure monitoring system. Through various experiments, we found each organ has its own characterized pressure fluctuation.

  • The rapid growth of algae occurs can induce the algae bloom when nutrients are supplied from anthropogenic sources such as fertilizer, animal waste or sewage in runoff the water currents or upwelling naturally. The algae blooms creates the human health problem in the environment as well as in the water resource managers including hypoxic dead zones and harmful toxins and pose challenges to water treatment systems. The algal blooms in the source water in water treatment systems affects the drinking water taste & odor while clogging or damaging filtration systems and putting a strain on the systems designed to remove algal toxins from the source water. This paper propose the emerging In-Situ self-diagnosable smart algae sensing device with wireless connectivity for smart remote monitoring and control. In this research, we developed the In-Site Algae diagnosable sensing device with wireless sensor network (WSN) connectivity with Optical Biological Sensor and environmental sensor to monitor the water treatment systems. The proposed system emulated in real-time on the water treatment plant and functional evaluation parameters are presented as part of the conceptual proof to the proposed research.

  • The buildings of domestic wear the upper floors and an underground in-depth reconciliation tendency to do and the possibility of fire occurrence at the time of formation accident is coming to be high. Therefore will be scattered to various place and is established and prevention of disaster information of the receiver which will integrate there is a necessity which will manage. In this paper away where each receiver is installed in the fire for the remote monitoring and controld able to connect to the Internet and fiber optic cable that can be networked fire receiver and control desk was constructed. Between each device can be used by the fire, and more depending on the status of monitoring and alarm, control and maintenance can be performed to develop an integrated management system. The system is evaluated by the criteria of the KFI, and for each segment of the signal propagation time to perform experiments confirmed the reliability of the performance.
