본 논문에서는 다양한 환경 센서를 이용하여 농작물 재배 환경에 필요한 정보를 수집하고 실시간으로 모니터링 할 수 있는 센서 네트워크 기반의 농업 환경 모니터링 시스템을 제안한다. 기존의 센서 네트워크 기반의 무선 센서 노드들은 대부분 각 센서들의 특성에 따라 별도의 변환/제어 모듈이 필요했다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 본 시스템에서는 농작물 재배지에서 필요로 하는 정보를 얻기 위해 사용되는 여러가지 센서들을 단일 노드에 통합할 수 있는 통합 센서 모듈을 개발한다. 또한 통합 센서 모듈에 맞는 센서 네트워크 모니터링 시스템을 개발한다. 개발된 시스템의 동작 상태를 검증하기 위해 테스트 환경에 통합 센서 노드를 설치하여 설치 환경 정보를 센싱할 수 있도록 하여 실시간으로 모니터링할 수 있게 하였다.

An integrated design system has as its aim the incoporation of all the design processes, such as, planning, preliminary design, analysis, detailed design (mamber design), evaluation, and drafting into an unified software system. Successful implementation such a system could lead to major improvements in efficiency by eliminating duplication of data and efforts. reducing errors, saving design time, providing management support, and so on. This study presents a methodology for an computer-integrated design system for building structures, synthesizing algorithmic procedures and knowledge based expert systems on the network database. Network database, which was designed to store all information systematically during the design processes, provides centeral communication area between algorithms and expert systems. The conventional procedural codes automate the routine design phases such as structural analysis, whereas knowledge-based expert systems support designer's decisions at the creative design phases such as preliminary design etc. The user interface with interactive and batch modes controls the design phases and manages design information and activates the algorithms and the expert systems. The concept presented in this paper will contribute to the formulation of automated design systems for building structures.

Performance management of computer networks is intended to improve a given network performance in order for more efficient information exchange between subsystems of an integrated large-scale system. Improtance of performance management is growing as many function of the large- scale system depend on the quality of communication services provided by the network. The role of performance management is to manipulate the adjustable protocol parameters on line so that the network can adapt itself to a dynamic environment. This can be divided into two subtasks : performance evaluation to find how changes in protocol parameters affect the network performance and decision making to detemine the magnitude and direction of parameter adjustment. This paper is the second part of the two papers focusing on conceptual design, development, and evaluation of performance management for token bus networks. This paper specifically deals with the task of decision making which utilizes the principles of stochastic optimization and learning automata. The developed algorithm can adjuxt four timer settings of a token bus protocol based on the result of performance evaluation. The overall performance management has been evaluated for its efficacy on a network testbed.

국립해양조사원, 국립수산과학원, 해양경찰청, 해군, 해양관련 대학 등에서는 과학적 탐사(해양환경, 어군조사 등)를 위해 자체적으로 해양조사선을 보유하고 있다. 해양조사선에는 탐사목적에 맞는 다양한 탐사장비 들이 탑재되어 있다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 탐사장비를 해양조사선의 선내 네트워크 기반으로 통합하고, 효율적 과학탐사를 위해 탐사장비간 인터페이스 방안, 인터페이스용 유틸리티에 대한 경험에 의한 구축방안 제시와 네트워크 기반의 통합 DB 환경을 구축하여 이를 이용한 다양한 소프트웨어에 대한 구축방안을 제시하고자 한다. 또한, 해양 조사선의 네트워크 기반의 통합환경 구축 및 소프트웨어 개발에 대한 방안 및 향후 나아가야 할 방향에 대해서도 언급하도록 한다.

Roaming authentication protocol is widely used in wireless network which can enable a seamless service for the mobile users. However, the classical approach requires the home server's participation during the authentication between the mobile user and the foreign server. So the more the roaming requests are performed the heavier burden will be on the home server. In this paper, we propose a new roaming authentication framework for wireless communication without the home server's participation. The new roaming authentication protocol in the new framework takes advantage of the ID-based cryptography and provides user anonymity. It has good performance compared with the roaming authentication protocols whose authentication do not need the home server's participation in terms of security and computation costs. Moreover, a new User-to-User authentication protocol in the new framework is also present. All the authentications proposed in this paper can be regarded as a common construction and can be applied to various kinds of wireless networks such as Cellular Networks, Wireless Mesh Networks and Vehicle Networks.

유선 네트워크 환경에서 실시간 응용의 QoS 보장을 위한 자원 예약 프로토콜로서 RSVP가 발표된 바 있다. 한편, 무선 네트워크 환경에서의 응용 서비스가 대중화되면서 이동 컴퓨팅 환경에서의 QoS 보장이 이슈가 되고 있다. 이에 따라 RSVP와 이동 컴퓨팅 환경에서 이동성을 지원하는 Mobile IP간의 연동이 활기를 띠고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이동 컴퓨팅 환경에서 통합 이동성을 지원하는 QoS 보장형 자원 예약 프로토콜인 I-MRSVP(Integrated-Mobile RSVP)를 제안한다. I-MRSVP 프로토콜은 Mobile IP 기반의 광역 셀과 Cellular IP 기반의 협역 셀간의 상호운용성을 제공하는 통합 이동성을 지원하고 신호 세기 기반 예측 자원 예약 기법을 통해 효율적인 자원 예약 기능을 제공한다.

The satellite networks provide global coverage. The integration of terrestrial networks with a satellite network is the most attractive approach to develop a global communication system. The IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) is intended to be the system that will merge the internet with the telecom world. A user with a dual-mode terminal can access both the satellite network and terrestrial network. The seamless handoff between two networks and a user's QoS level is the major issue concerning this integration. In this paper, we propose IMS-based satellite/terrestrial integrated network architecture for a global communication system. Based on the proposed architecture, an inter-network handoff and end-to-end soft QoS procedure is discussed. Our proposed soft QoS scheme is also analyzed to calculate the number of rejected calls.

The multiple home PC, and home computing environment has undergone a significant evolution. And Internet explosion needs an integrated networking infrastructure within the home. Home networking is a concept that applies to the networking and application technologies to increase the comfort and ensure sharing and management of home resources as well as the provision of new, enhanced services. This paper proposes a Unification Protocol Architecture for home network. This Unification Protocol Architecture expect to a reference model in home network and to a foundation of the IIA (Internet Information Appliance) industry.

본 연구에서는 차량 네트워크를 구성하는 CAN(Controller Area Network), MOST(Media Oriented System Transport)등의 버스 시스템을 중심으로 IVN(In-Vechicle Network)에 대한 선행연구와 지능형 통합 Gateway 개발 연구를 통해 통합적인 차량 상태정보 수집 및 교환을 위한 차량 Gateway를 제시하고, Soc(System on Chip)형태의 차량용 인터페이스(HMI, Human Machine Interface)를 통한 지능형 통합 GateWay 통신 기술을 OSGi의 번들 형태로 제작하여 알아본다.

In this paper, an integrated monitoring system is implemented for industrial equipments which use different types of network protocols to communicate with other equipments. Dedicated gateway systems mate it difficult to modify or to add contents of network systems for communication with other systems. We suggest an integration method of effectively utilizing the general purpose gateway system (ETOS-l00A) which converts various types of protocols into TCP/IP protocol. To demonstrate the validity of the proposed integrated monitoring system, PLC-based automated inspection system is considered and the monitoring system is implemented using Visual Basic and HMI software.
