In this paper, we propose the framework of an integrated design system as a CAD system of a new concept that can incorporate the design information. Current CAD systems are powerful in representing the shape of a product with solid models but cannot provide the design information that is used or created in designing the product. Therefore an integrated design system is proposed to enable the storage and usage of the design information in addition to the shape manipulation. In order to represent the design information, we define element object that represents design element such as a part, a sub-assembly or an assembly by using object-oriented methodology. The element object carries various design information such as design parameters, documents, catalogues, functions, and behaviors as well as shapes. By using the stored information, the system can provide a designer with some functions to assist design activity such as interrogating necessary information, setting design parameters and goals, and constructing constraints among design elements. A mailing system is also constructed among element objects to assist a collaborative design. In addition, an evolutionary design method using genetic algorithms is realized within the proposed framework.

유동 수치 해석 분야의 실험들은 복잡한 수학 방정식의 계산 과정으로 이루어져 있고, 이러한 실험을 수행할 수 있는 거대한 계산 자원과 그 자원을 효율적으로 관리할 수 있는 환경을 요구한다. 현재 수치해석을 위한 특정 목적의 실험을 수행할 수 있는 e-사이언스 환경에 대한 연구는 많이 진행되고 있으나 다양한 공학 교육 분야의 유동 해석을 위한 통합 수치해석 연구 프레임워크를 개발한 사례는 거의 없는 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 그리드 자원을 효율적으로 이용할 수 있는 UNICORE를 기반으로 다양한 유동 해석을 위한 기본 프레임워크를 설계하고, 이에 대한 프로토타입으로 세 가지 유동 응용들에 대한 수치해석 연구를 통합 환경에서 수행할 수 있는 e-사이언스 프레임워크를 개발하였다.

With the current advances in optical WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) networking technologies and the increasing demand for network bandwidth the Next Generation Internet is expected to be a network that runs IP(Internet Protocol) directly over WDM-based optical networks. The network control architecture for the IP over WDM networks is different from that of traditional Internet since the underlying WDM devices have more constraints than electronic IP routers such as the lack of optical buffers and wavelength continuity property etc. In this paper we introduce several architectural models for implementing IP over WDM networks and propose an integrated network control framework for the IP over WDM networks. This framework leverages the traffic engineering control architecture for the MPLS (Multi-Protocol Label Switching) networks and is mainly developed for the IP over packet-switched WDM networks. We also report several preliminary simulation results of contention resolution schemes in the packet-switched WDM networks.

An ergonomic evaluation model which can properly evaluate the design of a product or workplaces was developed to evaluate a new product in the early stage of design. Although several evaluation models have been developed and are in use in the field of ergonomics, they lack an integrated framework and analysis techniques. In this research, an ergonomic evaluation model was developed according to the framework which accommodates desirable components of the model. The framework represents the integration of four components: man model, workplace modeller, ergonomic evaluation functions and knowledge bases, which interact with a common object-oriented database. Components were developed individually and integrated with the workplace modeller. The generation and manipulation of man models, workplace modelling, and ergonomic evaluation features such as reach and visibility were implemented. The developed evaluation model has demonstrated distinct advantages of the flexibility to adapt another features for the ergonomic evaluation model and the better usability for users.

In the present study, a shape design optimization scheme in shell structures is implemented based on the integrated framework of geometric modeling and analysis. The common representation of B-spline surface patch is used for geometric modeling. A geometrically-exact shell finite element is implemented. Control points or the surface are employed as design variables. In the computation of shape sensitivity, semi-analytical method is employed. Sequential linear programming is applied to the shape optimization of surfaces. The developed integrated framework should serve as a powerful tool to design and analysis of surfaces.

The Public Private Partnership/Private Finance Initiative (PPP/PFI) schemes have made the private sector become a major participant involved in the development of infrastructure systems along with the government. Due to more integrated efforts among project participants and longer concession period, PPP/PFI projects are inherently more complex and risky. It is therefore very important to proactively manage the risks involved throughout the project life cycle. Conventional risk management strategies sometimes ignore managerial flexibility in the planning and execution process. This paper starts with a revised risk management framework which incorporates the real option concept. Following the presentation of the framework, a new risk classification is proposed which leads to different ways of structuring options in a project according to the stage of the project life cycle. Finally, the paper closes by discussing other issues concerning option modeling and negotiation.

This study examines the scientific publications on website evaluation in hospitality and tourism from 2010 to 2023 through a systematic review and discusses implications for future research. The reviewed literature from publication years, journals, research methods, website-related stakeholders, context, various forms of Internet presence (Internet forms), and theories are analyzed to create a comprehensive website evaluation dimension. Furthermore, a conceptual framework is developed to show the relationship between the website characteristics, stakeholders-channels interaction, and stakeholders' reactions. The proposed website evaluation framework in hospitality and tourism synthesizes the existing knowledge, identifies gaps, and further advances our understanding of this research area.

The importance of ecosystem service such as green spaces has risen due to restrictions on outdoor activities amid the climate crisis and COVID-19. While gardens significantly impact economic development, quality of life, and social well-being, comprehensive studies on their multidimensional values are lacking. This research categorizes garden values into social, cultural, environmental, and health dimensions and proposes an integrated assessment framework that introduces detailed elements and evaluation methods. An empirical assessment of carbon storage index in two Korean gardens, Semiwon and Juknokwon, reveals Semiwon's higher carbon storage per unit area. The proposed framework, emphasizing a quantitative approach, enables cross-national and regional comparisons, contributing to a broader understanding and evaluation of garden values beyond specific facilities.

다음은 요약문 입니다. 여러 종류의 무선 통신망들에 대한 통합화된 서비스에 대한 수요가 요구되고 있다. 이러한 요구는 기존의 유선망과 무선 통신망의 통합 배치를 통하여 가능하게 되었다. 각각의 무선 통신망들은 기존이 망들에 비해 고유의 특징을 가지고 있다. 개방형 무선 통심 환경 하에서의 주요한 문제 중의 하나가 보안성에 관련된 문제이다. 개방형 환경 하에서 통합된 환경의 보안성을 실현하기 위해서는 현실에서 실제적으로 적용 가능한 통합 보안 구조를 개발하여야 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 요구조건을 만족하기 위해서 고려해야 하는 사항들을 분석하였다.

본 논문은 국내 은행금응기관의 신용위험관리를 보다 효율적이고 과학적으로 지원하기 위한 통합 위험관리시스템의 프레임웍을 제시한다. 즉, 담보 보증중심의 사전관리 위주의 대출관리에서 신용중심의 사후관리 위주의 대출관리로 전환되어야 함에 따라 신용평가시스템, 대출의사결정시스템, 사후관리시스템, 그리고 통합 신용위험관리시스템에 이르기까지 각 단위 시스템이 전체적으로 하나의 시스템으로 통합되어야 한다. 특히, 통합 위험관리시스템은 신용위험을 은행전체의 신용 포트폴리오의 관점에서 측정하고 분석함을 의미한다. 통합 위험관리시스템은 개별 대출기업 혹은 개별 대출에 대한 신용위험을 분석함과 동시에 이를 기초 데이터로하여 은행 전체 신용 포트폴리오의 신용위험 노출정도를 파악한다. 또한, 개별 대출기업의 신용등급 변화로 인한 은행전체 신용위험의 변화를 자동적으로 파악하고 조기 경보함으로써 은행의 총체적인 통합 신용위험관리가 가능하도록 한다.
