  • BcN 네트워크 환경은 정통부의 지원 아래 2007년까지 단계적으로 공중망, 지역망 및 대부분의 단말에 도입될 예정이다. BcN 환경의 인프라인 IPv6 도입과 함께 현재의 네트워크 보안 구조도 Ipv6 트래픽 및 네트워크 환경을 고려한 차세대 네트워크 구조로 진화해야만 한다. 차세대 네트워크 보안 구조는 Ipv6 적용과 함께 네트워크의 또 다른 흐름인 유무선 통합에 대한 고려도 필요하다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 향후 Ipv6가 적용되고 유무선이 통합될 네트워크 환경을 고려한 차세대 네트워크 보안 요구사항을 분석하고 차세대 네트워크 보안 구조를 제안한다.

무인기 항공전자 체계의 아키텍처 개발 동향연구 (A Study on the Trend of an Avionics System Architecture Development for UAV)

  • The major elements of avionics system architecture are requirements, Real Time Operating System, message communication, memory, and data format etc. Herein describes a state-of-the-art development trend for the avionics system architecture, system requirements and data bus among the major elements of avionics system. While, domestic technology has been tried to Integrated Modular Avionics(IMA) system based on the Avionics Full Duplex Switched Ethernet(AFDX) technology during Light Attack Helicopter(LAH) project in Korea, but not yet proved as the product case in Full Scale Development Phase. The avionics system architecture considering the domestic inexperience of the IMA system architecture are suggested for the Next-generation Corps Unmanned Aircraft System.

  • This study aims to reconsider public architecture as effective resources for the local regeneration and draws a couple of issues based on analysis of planning status and cases from the perspectives of local regeneration. Through the analysis, this study suggests following as ways of improvement of public architecture planning: first, in order to secure systematic management of local regeneration, it is necessary to build up a dedicated organization or collaboration system that organically links and manages public facilities. Also related criteria that include the feasibility study, preliminary examination system, conduct review of investment and review standards need to be supplemented. Second, it is necessary to establish an integrated plan including the periphery of public architecture in the aspect of integrated urban planning, and to set up a selection of location standard that supports public architecture be a local center. Lastly, to activate local communities, the study proposes diversification of ways of combining programs and a process for participation and operating funds.

SOA와 WOA의 통합 아키텍처 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study of Design for the Integrated Architecture of SOA and WOA)

  • IT 자원의 상호운용성 및 재활용성 등의 장점을 지니고 있는 서비스 지향 아키텍처(SOA : Service Oriented Architecture)는 새로운 비즈니스 환경변화에 가장 빠르게 대응할 수 있는 최적의 대안으로 각광받고 있다. 그러나 SOA는 구현의 복잡성 및 그에 따른 높은 비용 등의 문제점들을 갖고 있다. 이러한 문제점들의 보완을 위해 웹 지향 아키텍처(WOA: Web Oriented Architecture)가 제안되어 각광받고 있지만, 이 또한 보안 및 안정적인 메시지 전달 등의 문제점들을 안고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 SOA와 WOA의 핵심 개념인 서비스를 내 외부 서비스로 분류후 각각을 SOA와 WOA에 적용하고, SOA와 WOA가 지닌 장점을 바탕으로 유연성이 강조된 통합 아키텍처 설계하였다. 제안한 아키텍처는 구현이 보다 간편하고, 서비스 지향적이며, 고객의 요구사항을 충분히 만족시킬 수 있다. 이를 검증하기 위해 AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) 기법을 통하여 제안한 아키텍처 설계의 유용성을 평가하였다.

  • 미국, 유럽 선진국들을 중심으로 진행 중인 SWIM(System Wide Information Management)은 국제민간항공기구(ICAO)에서 항공관련 데이터 시스템의 성능을 향상시키는 ASBU(Aviation System Block Upgrade) 프로그램의 일부분이며, 디지털 항공 정보 관리를 통해 서비스를 향상시키기 위한 항공통신 데이터를 종합 관리하는 망의 핵심적인 기술이다. 이에 따라, 본 논문에서는 SOA(Service Oriented Architecture) 개념을 적용한 SWIM 구조와 네트워크를 분석하고, 기존의 레거시 시스템으로 운용중인 애플리케이션을 어댑터 기술 개발을 통하여 항공데이터 종합관리망으로 구축하는 방안을 제안한다. 제안한 방안은 효율적인 ATM(Air Traffic Management)을 위한 차세대 인프라 망 환경에 적합한 미들웨어 및 애플리케이션 개발로 사용자가 원하는 정보를 적시에 제공할 것이다.

바이엘러 미술관에 나타난 건축-미술-자연의 통합 디자인 방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Integrated Design Method of Architecture-Art-Nature found in Foundation Beyeler Museum)

  • Foundation Beyeler museum located near Basel, Switzerland is one of the most-visited art museum of the world. Although the entire volume of the museum is not huge, its art collection as well as the well-known museum building designed by Renzo Piano deserve to attract many visitors. The initial design was started in 1991 when the city of Basel decided to fund and support the project. Through a couple of design stages, the museum was finally opened to public in 1997. There have been various research papers dealt with general design issues of Beyeler museum such as composition of exhibition spaces, and natural lighting. However, this paper aims to study the design methods and relationship between art, architecture and nature. Although the museum building is located on the site quietly, there are various specific design solutions to create unique spatial experience of art and nature at each parts. This study focuses on 4 parts of the museum that are located on the main circulation. How art, architecture and nature are integrated together is the main target of the analysis. The analysis is based on visual-perceptual experience and spatial configuration. In chapter 2, general background of the project was studied. In chapter 3, characteristics of the site's natural environment and Piano's design concept's were examined. In chapter 4, each parts were analyzed in detail with diagrams. In chapter 5 & 6, the spatial characteristics were compared together and the fundamental role of the museum architecture was concluded.

A collaborative simulation in shipbuilding and the offshore installation based on the integration of the dynamic analysis, virtual reality, and control devices

  • It is difficult to observe the potential risks of lifting or turn-over operations in the early stages before a real operation. Therefore, many dynamic simulations have been designed to predict the risks and to reduce the possibility of accidents. These simulations, however, have usually been performed for predetermined and fixed scenarios, so they do not reflect the real-time control of an operator that is one of the most important influential factors in an operation; additionally, lifting or turn-over operations should be a collaboration involving more than two operators. Therefore, this study presents an integrated method for a collaborative simulation that allows multiple workers to operate together in the virtual world. The proposed method is composed of four components. The first component is a dynamic analysis that is based on multibody-system dynamics. The second component is VR (virtual reality) for the generation of realistic views for the operators. The third component comprises the control devices and the scenario generator to handle the crane in the virtual environment. Lastly, the fourth component is the HLA (high-level architecture)-based integrated simulation interface for the convenient and efficient exchange of the data through the middleware. To show the applicability of the proposed method, it has been applied to a block turn-over simulation for which one floating crane and two crawler cranes were used, and an offshore module installation for which a DCR (dual-crane rig) was used. In conclusion, the execution of the proposed method of this study is successful regarding the above two applications for which multiple workers were involved.

Difference in Peak and Integrated Target Strengths Depending on Signal Duration Using a Time-Domain Physical Diffraction Theory

  • The target strength (TS) is calculated from the measured signal using the definition of the peak TS (PTS) or the integrated TS (ITS). These two types of TS sometimes give different results depending on what the pulse duration is. In this paper, we model the scattered time signal by the numerical code based on the physical diffraction theory and examine the effect of the pulse duration on the value of PTS or ITS. The transformed TS (TTS) for the frequency domain is used as a reference solution.

End-to-End Soft QoS Approach for IMS-based Integrated Satellite/Terrestrial Network Architecture

  • The satellite networks provide global coverage. The integration of terrestrial networks with a satellite network is the most attractive approach to develop a global communication system. The IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) is intended to be the system that will merge the internet with the telecom world. A user with a dual-mode terminal can access both the satellite network and terrestrial network. The seamless handoff between two networks and a user's QoS level is the major issue concerning this integration. In this paper, we propose IMS-based satellite/terrestrial integrated network architecture for a global communication system. Based on the proposed architecture, an inter-network handoff and end-to-end soft QoS procedure is discussed. Our proposed soft QoS scheme is also analyzed to calculate the number of rejected calls.
