The Characteristics of Potential Decay on the Corona Electrified Composite Insulating Material by Surface Condition (코로나 대전된 복합절연재료의 표면상태가 전위감쇠에 미치는 영향)

  • Especially, Fiber glass Reinforced Plastics(FRP) is the best composite insulating material which has been so far. Therefore, it's worthy of notice to investigate on the corona electrified composite insulating material by surface condition. And then some other materials will be focussed on. In this study, charge decay were measured with charging-time and grid voltage on FRP composite material surface in order to analyze the mechanism. As a result we have studied that the way of the composite glass fiber(GF) and Polymer and the condition of the contaminated surface was different. In case of the GF is mixed with vertical, charge decay speed is fast because the charge is easily leaked. On the other hand, the surface charge decay speed is depend on conductive or insulated of the contaminant.

  • In paper, propose new partial resonance ZCS PWM controlled High frequency insulating Full-bridge DC/DC converter not using exciting current of high frequency transformer. It is compared with the existing principles in characteristics. It also realizes a widely stabilized ZVS operating using new On-Off control method at synchronized power rectification MOSFET of high frequency insulating transformer secondary. Finally, it is brought over 97[%] measurement -efficiency by proposed DC-DC converter. It is proved effectiveness of new methods using DC UPS PWM rectifier as switching power.

  • To investigate the reliability of the MTJs on the roughness of insulating tunnel barrier, we prepared two MTJs with the different uniformity of barrier thickness. Namely, the one has uniform insulating barrier thickness; the other has non-uniform insulating barrier thickness as compared to different thing. As to depositing amorphous layer CoZrNb under the pinning layer IrMn, we achieved MTJ with uniform barrier thickness. Toinvestigate the reliability of the MTJs dependent on the bottom electrode, time-dependent dielectric breakdown (TDDB) measurements were carried out under constant voltage stress. The Weibull fit of out data shows clearly that $t_{BD}$ scales with the thickness uniformity of MTJs tunnel barrier. Assuming a linear dependence of log($t_{BD}$) on stress voltages, we obtained the lifetime of $10^4$years at a operating voltage of 0.4 V at MTJs comprising CoNbZr layers. This study shows that the reliabilityof new MTJs structure was improved due to the ultra smooth barrier, because the surface roughness of the bottom electrode influenced the uniformity of tunnel barrier.

  • In this work, the effects of plasma treatment on surface properties of semiconductive silicone rubber were investigated in terms of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and contact angles, The adhesion characteristics of semiconductive-insulating interface layer of silicone rubber were studied by measuring the T-peel strengths, The results of the chemical analysis showed that C-H bonds were broken due to plasma discharge and Silica-like bonds(SiOx, x=3${\~}$4) increased, It is thought that semiconductive silicone rubber surfaces treated with plasma discharge led to an increase in oxygen-containing functional groups, resulting in improving the degree of adhesion of the semiconductive-insulating interface layer of silicone rubber. However, the oxygen plama for 20 minute produces a damaged oxidized semiconductive silicone rubber layer, which acts as a weak layer producing a decrease in T-peel strength, These results are probably due to the modifications of surface functional groups or polar component of surface free energy of the semiconductive silicone rubber.

  • The ($Ba_{0.85}Ca_{0.15}$)$TiO_3$-Zndielectrics was made by ZnO mol ratio from 0.1 to 0.4. The characteristics of structural was analyzed by SEM and XRD and the insulating properties was examined by dielectric constant and resistivity. The grain size were 1.3[$\mu\textrm{m}$] and those shape ware a rectangular. The relativity density were over 90[%] in all specimen. It was found that the best insulating characteristics were obtained for 0.3 mol ratio.

  • DC high-temperature superconducting(HTS) cable system has attracted a great deal of interest from the view point of low loss, dense structure and large capacity. A HTS cable system is made of cable and termination. The insulating materials and insulation technology must be solved for the long life, reliability and compact of cable system. In this paper, we will report on the dielectric breakdown characteristics of insulating materials for HTS cable and termination. The AC, DC and lightning impulse breakdown strength of laminated polypropylene paper(PPLP) and glass fiber reinforced plastic(GFRP) have been measured under nitrogen pressures in the range of 0.l-0.4MPa. PPLP and GFRP are found to have a significantly higher DC breakdown strength. Also, DC surface flashover voltage of negative polarity is slightly higher than that of positive polarity in GFRP.

  • In order to investigate the electrical properties of X-ray tube oils for insulating and cooling, the breakdown characteristics in temperature range of $20\sim100[^{\circ}C]$, that of AC breakdown in 0.5~2.5[mm] of gap length, we are made researches. The classification for the physical properties of oil for X-ray tube by FTIR and H-NMR experiments was confirmed to type of mineral oils. As for the dependance of breakdown characteristics due to electrode gap length, breakdown voltage was found nearly uniform by impurity effect according to the increase of gap. As a result the characteristics for AC breakdown, the dielectric strength was increased to $90[^{\circ}C]$ but decreased over $90[^{\circ}C]$ in the temperature range.

  • Epoxy-Ceramic Composite have good insulating, therma1 and mechanical properties, so it is studied actively on this material. In this thesis, we made a composite material b)\ulcorner filling Epoxy Resin with ceramics treated with Sillane Coupling Agent and studied dielectric and insulating characteristics according to treatment density of Sillane Coupling Agent and weight percent of filler. As a result, loss tangent increase and electrical breakdown voltage decrease according to increasing treatment density of sillane coupling agent because Interface matching between matrix and filler is not good. The best treatment density of sillane coupling agent is 0.5% water solution, in this density the best interface matching is achieved so good dielectric and insulation characteristics are shown. Dielectric and insulation characteristics according to weight percent of filler are best at 25wt.

  • This paper deals with the arc discharge characteristics of kerosene oil as a basic study on electrical discharge machine. Using needle electrode the discharge voltage, discharge current, discharge energy and the shape of discharge crater are measured. In consequence, it becomes clear that the discharge crater(depth, height, diameter) is depending on the discharge energy. Rapid increase in depth, height and diameter of discharge crater was observed during initial discharge, where discharge energy is large. However, rather slow decrease of those values was found when discharge energy is low or N is more than 3. As the ratio of $I_p$$T_on$ increase, the shape of discharge crater gets near circle. The protuberances of the discharge crater were not formed by the melted needle electrode but by the that of work piece.
