Fuzzy polynomial neural network model and its application to wastewater treatment system

  • In this paper, a fuzzy PNN algorithm is proposed to estimate the structure and parameters of fuzzy model, using the PNN based on GMDH algorithm. New algorithm uses PNN algorithm and fuzzy reasoning in order to identify the premise structure and parameter of fuzzy implications rules, and the leastsquare method in order to identify the optimal consequence parameters. Both time series data for gas furnace and data for wastewater treatment process are used for the purpose of evaluating the performance of the fuzzy PNN. The results show that the proposed technique can produce the fuzzy model with higher accuracy than other works achieved previously.

  • Support Vector Machines (SVMs) is applied to a practical problem as one of standard tools for machine learning. The application of Reinforcement Learning (RL) and SVMs in action of mobile robot is investigated. A technique to decide the action of autonomous mobile robot in practice is explained in the paper, The proposed method is to find n basis for good action of the system under unknown environment. In multi-dimensional sensor input, the most reasonable action can be automatically decided in each state by RL. Using SVMs, not only optimal decision policy but also generalized state in unknown environment is obtained.

  • Investigation is performed on the characteristics and new control technique for general form of dynamic system under the randomly disturbance. Also, a controller design method in stochastic domain in studied, which is preliminary result in the course of research on the control of stochastic system. The governing equation is derived via F-P-K approach in stochastic sense. A controller is designed in term of auto power density and cross power density.

  • 최근 스위칭 전원장치를 사용하는 PC, UPS, 정류기 및 조명기기등 비선형부하의 증가에 따라 3상 4선식 배전계통에서 평형부하인 경우에도 중성선에 큰 고조파전류가 흘러 계통내 많은 문제를 야기하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 단상인버터에 의한 중성선전류 제어 기술 (6)로서 불평형하에서 기본파의 영상전류에 의해 필터장치에 과부하가 걸리는 것을 방지하기위한 새로운 제어기법을 제안하고 이론에 의한 분석과 모의실험 및 실험에 의하여 타당성을 입증한다.

  • In the raper, the noise involved on the active circuit is identified using correlation function. In order to identify the unknown noise source location, signals from each points on the system are detected and the location is identified by a concept calico Noise Source Surface. The fault diagnosis method is suggested for each element by identifying the noise source in active circuit using SVM. Experiment is conducted to confirm the validity of the proposed method. Also a method to reduce and control the noise in the system signal by using Matrix Pencil Method is introduced.

  • This paper presents a technique to evaluate torque and speed characteristics of induction motor with the Dynamometer. The simple Dynamometer controlled via microcontroller and displayed by computer. The Microcontroller generates the PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signal and control the duty cycle of signal for control braking level. The Buck converter is a braking unit which uses IGBT as switch in circuit. The output current of the Buck converter and output voltage of tacho generator are converted to digital signals and analyzed by microcontroller. The signals are then sent to computer for displaying torque and speed responds independent on the braking time. The test results of the Dynamometer in this research can coreectly predict the torque and speed response under reasonable tests. Moreover, this Dynamometer is easy and inexpensive to make.

  • The problem of temperature control for rapid thermal processing (RTP) in semiconductor manufacturing is discussed in this paper. Among sub=micron technologies for VLSI devices, reducing the junction depth of doped region is of great importance. This paper investigates existing methods for manufacturing wafers, focusing on the RPT which is considered to be good for formation of shallow junctions and performs the wafer fabrication operation in a single chamber of annealing, oxidation, chemical vapor deposition, etc., within a few minutes. In RTP for semiconductor manufacturing, accurate and uniform control of the wafer temperature is essential. In this paper, a robustr controller is designed using a recently developed optimization technique. The controller designed is then tested via computer simulation and compared with the other results.

  • This paper describes the automatic visual inspect ion system of fabric defects based on pattern recognition techniques. To extract features for detection of fabric defects, four different techniques such as SGLDM. GCM, decorrelation method, and Laws' texture measure were investigated. From results of computer simulation, it has been found that GCM and decorrelation techniques provide good features. By employing a simple statistical pattern recognition technique, theaccuracy of classification of defect and nondefect was more than 90%. Some experimental results arm also presented.

  • Helicopter dynamics are plenty of nonlinearity. A complete mathematical model including propeller dynamics and fortes generated by the propellers is very difficult to obtain. So the method used to design to design a controller is a parameter estimation. Design controller based on variable structure system. This paper deals with LQR control technique to control efficiently, its elevation angle and azimuth one. The purpose of the experiment is to design a controller allows to use a desired elevation angle and azimuth ones. The system model has a helicopter model with 2-degree-of freedom. The simulation results were verified usefulness of controller.

  • This Paper presents a relay modeling technique to deal with the relay transient characteristics. Existing relay models are based on steady-state concepts. The ninth-order state space mathematical model of the Mho distance relay has been constructed. Computer modeling of a typical distance relay is done within the Transient Analysis of Control System(TACS) subsection of the ElectroMagnetic Transient Program(EMTP).
