  • This study introduces and demonstrates the application of an experimental regime for anti-seismic performance evaluation of waterproofing materials to used for concrete pile walls. Concrete pile walls are subject to high degree of seismic load, and the occurring stress can affect the waterproofing integrity of the structure, but there is currently no existing methodology or standard for evaluating this property of waterproofing materials. To propose and conduct this evaluation, a new testing apparatus was designed and manufactured intended to be able to test an installed waterproofing material's seismic resistance performance.

벽체일체형 자연순환 태양열온수기의 동적거동과 열성능에 관한 실증연구 (An Empirical Study on the Thermal Performance and Dynamic Behavior of Wall Integrated Thermosiphon Solar Water Heater)

  • In this study, the evaluation of the dynamic behavior and thermal performance of the "Façade integrated Natural circulation Solar Water Heating System" installed in the residential house was carried out. Experimental tests were performed during the all year around in the rural houses of $166m^2$ in size. Facade integrated solar collector of $5m^2$ were installed on the south-facing. Electrical heater of 1 kW capacity as an auxiliary heater was installed at the upper part of the heat storage tank. The analyzing results are as follows. (1) Monthly average solar fraction was 51 to 87% and yearly average value is 64%. (2) Hot water supply temperature in December which has the lowest solar altitude is 37 to $76^{\circ}C$. The highest working fluid temperature of solar collector in this period was below $84^{\circ}C$. The temperature difference of working fluid between the collector inlet and outlet has been shown to be around 9 to $26^{\circ}C$. (3) Overheating which is one of the biggest problems during summer did not appear at all, but rather had hot water supply temperature is rather low as $30{\sim}47^{\circ}C$ in summer than winter, which is supplied by a small solar load. The solar collecting temperature has been shown to maintain below $55^{\circ}C$. (5) The thermal performance of Facade integrated solar collector can be increase due to the reduction of heat loss to the back of the collector wall integration of the collector is reduced. As a conclusion, Facade integrated natural circulation type Solar Water Heating System is a well-functioning without any pumps or controllers, and it was found that the disadvantages of conventional solar water heaters, hot water or hot water system can be greatly improved.

지하철 역사 내 WSN 환경구축을 위한 고정 전파범위 기반의 효율적인 AP설치에 관한 연구 (A Study on Efficient Access Point Installation Based on Fixed Radio Wave Radius for WSN Configuration at Subway Station)

  • 도시철도는 많은 사람들이 이용하는 대표적인 대중교통 수단으로 이용객의 안전 및 편의를 위한 다양한 장비들이 지속적으로 설치되어 왔다. 최근에는 IT기술의 발전에 힘입어 무선네트워크 기술과 접목된 여러 센서들을 설치한 후 데이터를 수집하여 이용객에게 편의를 높이고 있다. 도시철도 역사 내에 무선 센터 네트워크 환경을 구축하기 위해서는 센서들의 데이터를 수집할 수 있는 AP의 설치 방법이 중요하다. 그러나 현재 AP의 설치방법은 역사 내를 이동하며 전파 세기를 측정한 후 AP를 설치하는 방법을 사용하고 있다. 효율적인 AP설치는 적은 수의 AP설치만으로 넓은 지역에 설치된 센서들의 데이터를 수집할 수 있으며, 추후 추가적인 센서 설치시 유지보수 비용을 줄일 수 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 센서들의 설치 위치와 AP의 전파 범위를 기반으로 최적의 AP설치 위치와 개수를 추정할 수 있는 방법을 제안하였다. 그리고 제안된 방법을 이용하여 시뮬레이터를 개발한 후 부산 서면역 도면에 적용하여 WSN을 구축하는 모의실험을 수행하였다. 개발된 시뮬레이터는 향후 도시철도 환경에 WSN을 구축하는데 유용한 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

파력발전용 직접구동터빈의 성능에 미치는 수심의 영향 (Effect of Water Depth on the Performance of a Direct Drive Turbine for Wave Energy Converter)

  • Development of high efficiency turbine with good performance is one of the main topics in the field of developing wave energy converter. For the development and improvement of the turbine performance, the effect of wave condition on the turbine performance should be considered in detail. Also, water depth is an important factor because incident wave power to the turbine is considerably influenced by the wave particle amplitude of motion and the amplitude is closely related with the water depth. Therefore, in this study, the effect of water depth on the performance of a direct drive turbine(DDT) for wave energy converter is investigated using the DDT which is installed in two types of wave channel. The experimental results show that the DDT captures more wave energy under the condition of relatively shallow water depth. When the water depth is shallow, the horizontal water particle amplitude of motion becomes wider and thus, the water power toward the turbine becomes larger.

  • This research on building Integrated Photovoltaic System replacing windows and doors with amorphous silicon thin film PV windows and doors installing same exact mount on Mock-up. The windows and doors should be installed in different angle and bearing so that we can analyse the amount of electricity from them. The objective of the research is to evaluate and investigate the relationship between factors(intensity of solar radiation, PV window surface temperature, incidence angle, and sky conditions) that affects performance of PV window and performance. The range and method of this research is to establish monitoring system and analysis the data from the monitoring system to evaluate the performance of PV windows that have thin film of solar battery. We should evaluate the insolation according to the position of PV window, output, and surface temperature according to months and seasons so that we can figure out the relationship between these. And we should investigate the relationship between performance and efficiency according to incidence angle and sky condition so that we can figure out the correlation between factors and performance.

  • 배플이 장착된 KSR-III 엔진의 연소장 및 성능을 예측하기 위하여 수치해석을 수행하였다. 수치해석의 검증을 위해 3차원 계산을 수행하여 연소시험과 비교하였으며, 정성적으로 잘 일치하는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 배플이 장착됨에 따라 연소실 전압이 감소하여 특성속도가 감소하는 것을 볼 수 있었고, 이것은 엔진의 성능 감소로 이어지는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 분사기 면과 연소실 벽면 및 배플 벽면에 국부적인 고온 영역이 발생하는 것을 볼 수 있었으며, 이것은 분사기 면에 막냉각을 설계하여 장착할 수 있는 기본 자료로 활용되었고 실제 엔진에 적용되었다.

  • This paper presents vibration control performance of a passenger vehicle installed with the mixed-mode type ER engine mounts. The performance is evaluated via hardware-in-the-loop-simulation(HILS) method. As a first step, a dynamic model of a vehicle featuring the ER engine mounts is formulated by taking into account the engine excitation forces. A new type of the fuzzy skyhook controller is then established in order to control both engine and body vibrations. This is accomplished by adopting a weighting parameter between two performance criteria which is to be determined from the fuzzy algorithm. Vertical displacement and acceleration of the engine mount obtained from the HILS method are provided in the frequency domain. In addition, vibration control performance between the conventional hydraulic engine mount and the proposed engine mount is compared in the time and frequency domains.

성능위주 화재와 피난시뮬레이션 입력데이터의 표준화 필요성에 대한 제안 (Proposals on the Input Data Standardization Needs of Fire and Evacuation Simulation in Performance Based Design)

  • 국내 성능위주설계 방법 및 기준에서는 다양한 입력 데이터들에 대한 입력 규정이 따로 마련되어있지 않으며, 설계자별로 인용하는 근거 데이터가 상이하여 피난허용시간과 피난완료시간에 많은 차이를 보이고 있다. 이는 성능위주 화재와 피난 시뮬레이션에 대한 신뢰도 문제와도 직결되고 있다. 시뮬레이션에 입력되는 다양한 데이터들을 표준화함으로서 설계자의 경험이나 기술능력에 무관하게 동일한 위험도의 건물에서는 동일한 결과가 도출되어야 한다. 또한 그 위험도 합당한 소방 방재설비가 설치되고 유사한 성능위주 대상 건물에서는 개연성 있는 초기투자비용이 소요됨으로서 효율적이고 효과적인 안전 확보가 이루어져야 할 것으로 판단된다.

하이브리드 지중열교환기 적용 지열 히트펌프 시스템의 난방 성능 분석 (Heating Performance Analysis of Ground-Source Heat Pump (GSHP) System using Hybrid Ground Heat Exchanger (HGHE))

  • This paper presents the heating performance analysis results of a ground-source heat pump (GSHP) system using hybrid ground heat exchanger (HGHE). In this paper, the HGHE refers to the ground heat exchanger (GHE) using both a surface water heat exchanger (SWHE) and a vertical GHE. In order to evaluate the system performance, we installed monitoring sensors for measuring temperatures and power consumption, and then measured operation data with 4 different load burdened ratios of the HGHE. During the entire measurement period, the average heating capacity of the heat pump was 37.3 kW. In addition, the compressor of the heat pump consumed 9.4 kW of power, while the circulating pump of the HGHE used 6.7 kW of power. Therefore, the average heating coefficient of performance (COP) for the heat pump unit was 4.0, while the system including the circulating pump was 2.7. Finally, the parallel use of SWHE and VGHE was beneficial to the system performance; however, further researches are needed to optimize the design data for various load ratios of the HGHE.
