  • Recently many researchers contributed to the understanding of Quality Control System, but the use of economics in the design of quality assurance system is limited in treatment of the relationship between the average incoming quality level (or average process quality level) of the incoming lot and the average outgoing quality level of this lot. In this study, a traditional concept of sampling inspection plan for the quality assurance system is extended to a consideration of economic aspects in total production system by representing and analyzing the effects between proceeding and succeeding production process including inspection process. This approach recognizes that the decision at each manufacturing process (or assembly process), is to be determined not only by the cost and the average outgoing quality level of that process, but also by the input parameters of the cost and the incoming quality to the succeeding process. By analyzing the effects of the average incoming and outgoing quality, manufacturing or assembly process quality level and sampling inspection plan on the production system, mathematical models and solution technique to minimize the total production cost for a general product manufacturing system with specified average outgoing quality limit are suggested.

  • 본 논문에서는 단계별로 검사공정과 재가공공정으로 구성된 K단계 검사시스템의 설계문제를 다루며 사례연구를 제시한다. 검사원의 Type I과 II의 오차를 가정하고, 양품으로 분류된 제품도 재검사를 한다는 정책 하에 목표 불량률을 달성할 수 있는 가장 작은 정수인 K값을 결정한다. 만약 K값이 존재하지 않을 경우 Type I과 II의 오차는 변하지 않는다고 가정하여 목표 불량률을 달성할 수 있는 (조립생산라인의 불량률, 재가공불량률)을 역으로 탐색한다. 본고에서 제시된 K단계 검사시스템에 대한 공식과 방법론은 약간의 수정을 가한다면 유사한 검사환경에 적용할 수 있다.

나이브 베이즈 분류기를 적용한 외관검사공정 개발 (Development of Visual Inspection Process Adapting Naive Bayes Classifiers)

  • 외관검사공정의 성능을 개선하기 위하여 기존의 자동외관검사장비 및 인간검사원에 추가하여 새로이 나이브 베이즈 분류기를 이용한 공정 구성을 개발하였다. 나이브 베이즈 분류기를 공정에 적용함으로써 불량의 유출 및 인간검사원의 작업량을 동시에 개선할 수 있다. 이때 분류기의 판정기준으로 기존의 MAP 방법 대신 AMPB 방법을 제안하여 적용하였다. 카메라모듈 용 필터 제품을 이용한 실험 결과 유출율 1.14%, 인간검사원 작업량 비율 75.5% 수준에서 공정을 구성하는 것이 가능함을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구의 결과는 검사 장비 및 인간이 협업을 하여 수행하는 타 공정 - 가스 누출 탐지 - 등에도 적용될 수 있다는 것에 넓은 범위에서의 의의가 있다.

  • 시설물의 안전관리에 관한 특별법이 1995년 제정된 이후 정밀점검 및 정밀안전진단을 실시하여 국가의 주요시설물의 안전 확보에 기여해 왔다. 그러나 관리주체의 안전등급 판정 개입, 안전진단전문기관의 저가수주, 진단기술력 부족 등으로 점검 진단의 실효성에 관한 의문이 꾸준히 제기되어 왔다. 이에 평가제도가 도입되어 부실 점검 진단 방지로서 역할과 기능을 하고 있지만, 앞으로 부실 점검 진단비율을 더 이상 낮아지기 힘들다는 의견이 대두되고 있다. 따라서 현행 평가제도와 부실 점검 진단비율에 대한 현황 분석을 실시하고, 부실 점검 진단으로 인한 국가적 손실비용을 추정함으로서 현행 평가제도 개선의 필요성과 당위성을 제시하고자 하였다.

  • This paper describes the automatic testing system developed for powder metallurgy process using the visual inspection, and its some internal algorithms. The system consists of one unit from each of the five types of units; feeding, slot, vision inspection, volumn counter, and inferior good extractor units. Some applications of the system to powder metallurgy process has shown the possibility of reducing the rework and increasing the efficiency of operation.

  • This paper presents a process incapability index to provide manager with various information of process and to reduce cost. The introduced process incapability indices indicate information about mean and variance of manufacturing process and variance of inspection process to evaluate process capability using ratio of variance and difference between target and mean to specification. This model can be used by the scale of six sigma management.

  • The process and efficiency of monitoring building and construction violations is a concern of the construction industry. The detection of violations requires appropriate and sufficiently accurate spatial information to manage and support a comprehensive inspection process and monitor compliance. A building inspection workflow must extract appropriate spatial and measurement in-formation from a variety of sources, identify potential violations across a range of compliance criteria and determine the quality of resulting inspection reports. This paper presents a framework for supporting building inspections using spatial information and methods to detect construction violations and compliance. Current inspection processes involve issues around the identification of building violations, access to building regulations and existing spatial information, integration of a range of spatial and non-spatial information, and the quality of decisions within the inspection workflows. A survey of building inspectors was conducted and used together with the issues identified to establish the requirements for a spatial inspection framework. The results demonstrate how such a framework can support improved decision-making and reduced fieldwork effort in detecting and measuring the accuracy of building violations involving building placements, street offsets and footprint areas.

  • In this paper, in order to overcome shortcomings of manual inspection for the automotive PWM Shaft, we developed an automated inline inspection system. The automated inline inspection system consists of the work feeder unit, conveying unit, outer diameter check unit, run-out and roundness check unit, machine vision, defective separation unit and status alarm unit. We used the machine vision system for automatic inspection process and designed the inline systems for automatic feeding and selecting process. Also the repeated operation test was performed in order to verify the precision and reliability of the proposed automated inline inspection system.

  • This paper presents an overall image processing approach of defect inspection of patterned TFT-LCD panels for the real manufacturing process. A prototype of AOI(Automatic Optical Inspection) system which is composed of air floating stage and multi line scan cameras is developed. Adjacent pattern comparison algorithm is enhanced and used for pattern elimination to extract defects in the patterned image of TFT-LCD panels. New region merging algorithm which is based on border expansion is proposed to identify defects from the pattern eliminated defect image. Experimental results show that a developed AOI system has acceptable performance and the proposed algorithm reduces environmental effects and processing time effectively for applying to the real manufacturing process.
