  • In this paper a development of 10KVA series-parallel compensated UPS is shown, which has high input power factor and sinusoidal output voltage regulation capability. Compared to conventional cascaded UPS, the size can be reduced significantly with high quality input and output waveforms. The front converter and the main inverter can be considered decoupled, hence the front converter and the main inverter can be designed independent of each other. In this paper, analysis and experimental results for an 10 KVA prototype are presented.

  • In this paper, we introduce the identification model of dynamic system using the neural networks, We propose two identification models. The output of the parallel identification model is a linear combination of its past values as well as those of the input. The series-parallel model is a linear combination of the past values in the input and output of the plant. To generate stable adaptive laws, we prove that the series-parallel model is found to be proferable.

  • A single-switched series element for series-parallel compensated UPS is proposed. The proposed series element can handle only unidirectional power and the input voltage must be higher than the output voltage. But it is very useful when DC-link voltage is low and isolation transformer is need for output stage since only one active switch is used.

출력이 직렬 결합된 단상 Quasi Z-소스 AC-AC 컨버터 (A Single-Phase Quasi Z-Source AC-AC Converter with a Series Connection of the Output Terminals)

  • 본 연구에서는 출력이 직렬 연결된 단상 quasi Z-소스 AC-AC 컨버터를 제안하였다. 제안된 시스템은 단상quasi Z-소스 AC-AC 컨버터 2대의 입력 단을 병렬로 연결하고 출력 단을 직렬로 연결한 구조로 되어 있으며, 역상 모드와 동상 모드 별 전류 흐름과 출력전압의 형성 과정을 나타내었다. DSP로 제어되는 실험 시스템을 제작하여 PSIM시뮬레이션 결과와 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과 각 모드별로 듀티 비를 제어하여 원하는 출력 전압을 벅-부스트 할 수 있었다. 컨버터 1대가 단독으로 운전한 경우에 비하여, 각각의 모드에 대하여 부하 저항의 증가에 따른컨버터 효율과 입력 역률을 제안된 방법에 의하여 개선할 수 있었다. 또한 역상 모드의 경우, 일정 부하에서 컨버터의 효율과 입력 역률을 각각 10[%]와 35[%]정도 개선하였으며, 특히 부하 저항이 변동하는 과도상태에서도 일정한 출력 전압을 유지할 수 있었다.

  • Regression of conventional prediction techniques in data mining uses the model which is generated from the training step. This model is applied to new input data without any change. If this model is applied directly to time series, the rate of prediction accuracy will be decreased. This paper proposes an incremental regression for time series prediction like typhoon track prediction. This technique considers the characteristic of time series which may be changed over time. It is composed of two steps. The first step executes a fractional process for applying input data to the regression model. The second step updates the model by using its information as new data. Additionally, the model is maintained by only recent data in a queue. This approach has the following two advantages. It maintains the minimum information of the model by using a matrix, so space complexity is reduced. Moreover, it prevents the increment of error rate by updating the model over time. Accuracy rate of the proposed method is measured by RME(Relative Mean Error) and RMSE(Root Mean Square Error). The results of typhoon track prediction experiment are performed by the proposed technique IMLR(Incremental Multiple Linear Regression) is more efficient than those of MLR(Multiple Linear Regression) and SVR(Support Vector Regression).

  • In this paper a new series-parallel compensated uninterruptible power supply is proposed. Its series compensator shapes input current to sinusoid. The power handled by series compensator is only a quarter of ratings. And parallel compensator delivers sinusoidal voltage to nonlinear load. The parallel compensator is backedup with battery. This system has capabilities of power line conditioner and backup power with reduced size.

  • In this paper new control strategy of series resonant converter system for control power supply is suggested. Frequency controlled series resonant converter system is robust to load variations because it is POSR(parallel output series resonant) type. And it provides stable output voltage by changing switching frequency to input voltage variations. Firstly, operation analysis about suggested series resonant converter system was carried. Then simulations using ACSL(Advanced Continuous Simulation Language) and experiments to actual system were carried to prove characteristics of suggested system.

  • This paper proposes a time series prediction method for the nonllinear system using the fuzzy system and its genetic algorithm, At first, we obtain the optimal fuzzy membership function using the genetic algorithm. With the optimal fuzzy rules and its input differences, a better time prediction series system may be obtained. We obtain a good result for the time prediction of the electric load.

임계값 부트스트랩을 사용한 시뮬레이션 입력 시나리오의 생성 (Generation of Simulation input Stream using Threshold Bootstrap)

  • The bootstrap is a method of computational inference that simulates the creation of new data by resampling from a single data set. We propose a new job for the bootstrap: generating inputs from one historical trace using Threshold Bootstrap. In this regard, the most important quality of bootstrap samples is that they be functionally indistinguishable from independent samples of the same stochastic process. We describe a quantitative measure of difference between two time series, and demonstrate the sensitivity of this measure for discriminating between two data generating processes. Utilizing this distance measure for the task of generating inputs, we show a way of tuning the bootstrap using a single observed trace. This application of the threshold bootstrap will be a powerful tool for Monte Carlo simulation. Monte Carlo simulation analysis relies on built-in input generators. These generators make unrealistic assumptions about independence and marginal distributions. The alternative source of inputs, historical trace data, though realistic by definition, provides only a single input stream for simulation. One benefit of our method would be expanding the number of inputs achieving reality by driving system models with actual historical input series. Another benefit might be the automatic generation of lifelike scenarios for the field of finance.

  • 본 논문에서는 직렬 복합 트랜지스터를 이용한 저전압 선형 가변 트랜스컨덕터를 설계하였다. 직렬 복합트랜지스터는 포화 영역에서 동작하는 트랜지스터와 선형 영역에서 동작하는 트랜지스터가 직렬 연결된 구조로 낮은 공급 전압에서도 넓은 입력 전압 범위를 갖는다. 설계된 트랜스컨덕터는 $0.25{\mu}m$ CMOS n-well 공정 파라미터를 이용하여 HSPICE로 시뮬레이션한 결과 차단주파수는 309MHz 이고, 입력 신호 주파수가 10MHz일 때 1.5VP-P의 차동 입력에 대해 1.1%이하의 THD 특성을 갖는다.
