  • The new service of Korean public library, ASK_a service model suggests a new management practice in collaborative digital reference services. The model has three functions: input transaction, process transaction, and output transaction. The best form for input is the web form. The best form for process is a model with a hybrid type of public libraries(hierarchical and lateral type). The output suggests the archiving policy for gathering the query-answer data. The core of this model is providing an advanced information service to its users through cooperation with public libraries and external manpower.

  • In this paper, a design of an integral augmented nonlinear optimal variable structure system(INOVSS) is presented for the prescribed output control of uncertain MIMO systems under persistent disturbances. This algorithm basically concerns removing the problems of the reaching phase and combining with the nonlinear optimal control theory. By means of an integral nonlinear sliding surface, the reaching phase is completely removed. The ideal sliding dynamics of the integral nonlinear sliding surface is obtained in the form of the nonlinear state equation and is designed by using the nonlinear optimal control theory, which means the design of the integral nonlinear sliding surface and equivalent control input. The homogeneous $2{\upsilon}(\kappa)$ form is defined in order to easily select the $2{\upsilon}$ or even $(\kappa)-form$ higher order nonlinear terms in the suggested sliding surface. The corresponding nonlinear control input is designed in order to generate the sliding mode on the predetermined transformed new surface by means of diagonalization method. As a result, the whole sliding output from a given initial state to origin is completely guaranteed against persistent disturbances. The prediction/predetermination of output is enable. Moreover, the better performance by the nonlinear sliding surface than that of the linear sliding surface can be obtained. Through an illustrative example, the usefulness of the algorithm is shown.

  • We introduce an optimization of the number of base station antennas in massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) wireless powered communication network (WPCN). We use channel hardening property of massive MIMO system to approximate channel gain in terms of the number of base station antennas. Then, we find an optimal solution by partial differential and obtain a closed form solution by using Lambert-W function. The simulation results show that the approximation and the method of solving the optimization problem are reasonable, and the optimal solution of proposed scheme is almost identical to the optimal number of base station antennas by the exhaustive search method.

  • Recently, ozone is utilized in various fields and its needs are expanding. In this paper, plate type ozonizer have been fabricated to investigate discharge parameter(input power, flow rate of supplied gas, electrode form, etc.) effect to discharge. And the conditions of discharge parameter have been investigated for optimum ozone generation. Ozone concentration is continuously increased with increasing input power for same discharge space, and ozone yield is also increased until maximum point after that it is saturated. Ozone concentration is inversely proportional to flow rate of supplied gas but ozone generation and ozone yield characteristics are improved.

  • This paper proposes an analytic method that can estimate delay time considering crosstalk noise at an arbitrary node of RC-class interconnects under saturated ramp input using a simple closed-form expression. In the case of single interconnects, algebraic expression presented in existent research can estimate delay time under ramp input using delay time under step input, and we applied it to estimate delay time considering crosstalk noise. As the result, we can provide a intuitive analysis about signal integrity of circuits that include crosstalk noise reducing computational complexity significantly.

  • A dynamic anti-windup method for state delayed control systems with input saturation is considered. Under the assumption that a linear controller has been designed for a state delayed control system based on the existing design technique which shows desirable nominal performance, an additional compensator is incorporated to provide a graceful performance degradation despite of input saturation. By regarding the difference of the controller states in the absence and presence of input saturation as an objective function, the dynamic compensator which minimizes it is determined explicitly. The proposed dynamic compensator is the closed form of plant and controller parameters. The proposed method not only provides graceful performance degradation, but it also guarantees the total stability of resulting systems. An illustrative example is provided to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • Magnetic flux saturation dependent on phase of initial input power to high voltage transformer used in Micro wave oven. To limit inrush current high voltage transformer the relay contact should be ˝ON˝ when the lowest point of input voltage phase. The improved circuit is form compensating interrupt signal Micom input so the relay contact can be ˝ON˝ when the inrush current is lower. Test results are presented that improved circuit satisfies the limit 50[A] of requirement for input voltage variation mode. And the result verified by statistical method.

  • A model analysis method has been developed in the paper. The method estimates the modal parameters of multiple input-output systems, assesses their quality, and seperates structural modes form computation ones. The modal parameter extraction algorithm is the least squares method with a finite difference model relating input and output time data. The quality of the estimated system model can be assessed in narrow frequency bands by comparing the measured and model predicted responses in time domain with the aid of digital filters. Structural modes can be effectively separated from computational ones using the convergence factor which represents the pole convergence rate. The modal analysis method has been applied to simulated and experimental vibration data to evaluate its utility and limitations.
