비대칭 터빈 로터 실에 기인한 축 가진력 (Rotordynamic Forces Due to Rotor Sealing Gap in Turbines)

  • Turbines have been known to be particularly susceptible to flow-induced self-excited vibration. In such vibrations, direct damping and cross stiffness effects of aerodynamic forces determine rotordynamic stability. In axial turbines with eccentric shrouded rotors, the non-uniform sealing gap causes azimuthal non-uniformities in the seal gland pressure and the turbine torque which destabilize the rotor system. Previously, research efforts focused solely on either the seal flow or the unshrouded turbine passge flow. Recently, a model for flow in a turbine with a statically offset shrouded rotor has been developed and some stiffness predictions have been obtained. The model couples the seal flow to the passage flow and uses a small perturbation approach to determine nonaxiymmetric flow conditions. The model uses basic conservation laws. Input parameters include aerodynamic parameters (e.g. flow coefficient, reaction, and work coefficient); geometric parameters (e.g. sealing gap, depth of seal gland, seal pitch, annulus height); and a prescribed rotor offset. Thus, aerodynamic stiffness predictions have been obtained. However, aerodynamic damping (i.e. unsteady aerodynamic) effects caused by a whirling turbine has not yet been examined. Therefore, this paper presents a new unsteady model to predict the unsteady flow field due to a whirling shrouded rotor in turbines. From unsteady perturbations in velocity and pressure at various whirling frequencies, not only stiffness but also damping effects of aerodynamic forces can be obtained. Furthermore, relative contributions of seal gland pressure asymmetry and turbine torque asymmetry are presented.

회전자를 갖는 분리형 히트파이프의 열전달특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Heat Transfer Characteristics of Separate Type Heat Pipe with a Rotor)

  • The purpose of this research is to study on the heat transfer characteristics of separate type heat pipe with a rotor. The heat transfer characteristics of the rotor condenser are various on input heat of evaporator, rotational speeds of rotor, and working fluid amount. The results obtained from the study are as follows. 1. Magnetic fluid using seal of the rotor operated in stability by a variation of temperature and rotation speeds. The configuration of magnetic fluid seal assembly was adequate. 2. Steam ejector is effective in recovering working fluid condensate in the rotor. When steam ejector is operating, the heat flux of working fluid does not change, with the wall temperature in the rotor. 3. The optimum design conditions on working fluid amount and rotational speeds are effective in evaporator volume 50%, rotational speeds 200rpm, 300rpm, and operating temperature $80^{\circ}C$. With working fluid amount increasing, overall heat transfer coefficient decreases linearly.

CATHARE2와 RELAP5/MOD3를 이용한 BETHSY 6.2 TC 소형 냉각재상실사고 실험결과의 해석 (Comparison Of CATHARE2 And RELAP5/MOD3 Predictions On The BETHSY 6.2% TC Small-Break Loss-Of-Coolant Experiment)

  • 본 연구에서는 BETHSY 실험장치에서 수행한 6" 소형 냉각재 상실사고(LOCA) 실험을 최적 열수력 코드인 CATHARE2 V1.2와 RELAP5/MOD3를 이용하여 계산했다. 본 연구의 주 목적은 소형 LOCA시 관심을 가지는 주요 물리현상인 이상 임계유동, 감압과정, 노심수위 감소, loop seal clearing 등에 대한 두 코드의 소형 LOCA 계산모의능력을 평가하는 것이다. 두코드는 이상 유동현상의 전개 경향이나 발생시점을 비교적 잘 예측하는 것으로 나타났고, CATHARE2의 경우가 실험과 더 잘 일치했다. 그렇지만 두 코드는 loop seal clearing 현상, loop seal clearing 발생후의 노심수위, accumulator 유량거동 등의 예측에는 약간의 편차를 보였는데, 편차의 정도는 RELAP5가 CATHARE2보다 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 두 코드의 편차요인을 보다 상세히 분석하기 위하여 계면 마찰력, mesh크기, 파단노즐 junction에서의 방출계수(Discharge coefficient)등에 대하여 민감도분석을 수행하였다. 그 결과 CATHARE2의 경우는 계면 마찰력을 증가시킴으로써 감압과정시 일차계통의 질량분포, 즉 증기 발생기 입구 공동(SG inlet plenum)에서의 차압과 Cross√er leg의 차압이 개선되었으며, 증기발생기 외측 열전달계수를 증가시킴으로써 중기발생기의 압력변화를 개선할 수 있었다. RELAP5의 경우는 어떤 하나의 입력변수를 변화시켜서 과도기의 결과를 개선할 수 없었으며 다만, 계면 마찰력 모델링에 여전히 많은 불화실성이 내포되어 있음을 확인했다.확인했다.

  • 로켓 모터와 같은 일회성 시스템은 매우 높은 신뢰도를 요구하기 때문에 합리적인 신뢰성 설계 방안이 필요한데 아직 국내에서는 단순히 각 부품별로 안전 계수를 부여하는 설계 방법을 적용해 왔다. 고전적인 신뢰성 해석에서는 한계 상태 함수에 사용되는 변수가 단일 값으로 입력되고 몇 개의 실험 데이터에 대하여 단순히 평균과 표준 편차를 취한 뒤 그 값을 신뢰성 해석에 사용하기 때문에 로켓 모터와 같이 높은 수준의 신뢰도를 요구하는 시스템에서 위험한 결과를 도출할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 로켓 모터의 체결 볼트와 오링을 대상으로 베이지안 접근법을 활용하여 입력 변수를 통계적으로 추정하고 이를 통한 신뢰성 해석을 수행하였다. 추정된 변수는 확률 분포 형태로 도출되며 신뢰성 해석 결과로 계산되는 실패 확률 역시 분포로 주어지기 때문에 객관적이고 정량적인 설계 기준을 설정할 수 있다.

인공신경망과 비전 시스템을 이용한 자동차용 오일씰의 검사 (Inspection of Automotive Oil-Seals Using Artificial Neural Network and Vision System)

  • The Classification of defected oil-seals using a vision system with the artificial neural network is presented. The artificial neural network fur classification consists of 27 input nodes, 10 hidden nodes, and one output node. The selection of the number of the input nodes is based on an observation that the difference among the defected, non-defected, and smeared oil-seals is greatly pronounced in the 26 step gray-scale level thresholding. The number of the hidden nodes is chosen as a result of a trade-off between accuracy and computing time. The back-propagation algorithm is used for teaching the network. The proposed network is capable of successfully classifying the defected from the smeared oil-seals which tend to be classified as the defected ones using the binary thresholding. It is envisaged that the proposed method improves the reliability and productivity of the automotive vision inspection system.

국지풍모델을 이용한 연안지역 거대 점오염원의 이류확산 수치모의 (Numerical Simulation of Dispersion of a Vast Point Source in Coastal Area using the Local Wind Model)

  • The two-stage numerical model was used to study the relation between three-dimensional local wind seal area for Korean peninsula. The first stave is three dimensional time-dependent local wind model which elves the wind field and vertical diffusion coefncient. The second stage is advection/duusion model which uses the results of the first stage as input data. First, wand fields on Korean peninsula for none synoptic scale wand showed typical land and sea breeze circulation, and the emitted particles were transported by sea breeze for daytime, emissions return to sea by land breeze for nighttime.

조사연료봉 봉단마개의 레이저용접기술 (Technology of the End Cap Laser Welding for Irradiation Fuel Rods)

  • Various welding methods such as Gas Tungsten Arc Welding(GTAW), magnetic force electrical resistance welding and Laser Beam Welding(LBW) are now available for end cap closure of nuclear fuel rods. Even though the resistance and GTA welding processes are widely used in manufacturing commercial fuel rods, they can not be recommended for the remote seal welding of fuel rods in the hot cell Facility due to the complexity of the electrode alignment, the difficulty in replacing parts in a remote manner and the large heat input for the thin sheath. Therefore, the Nd:YAG laser system using optical fiber transmission was selected for the end cap welding of irradiation fuel rods in the hot cell. The remote laser welding apparatus in the hot cell Facility was developed using a pulsed Nd:YAG laser of 500 watt average power with an optical fiber transmission. The weldment quality such as microstructure and mechanical strength was satisfactory. The optimum conditions of laser welding for encapsulating irradiation fuel rods in the hot cell were obtained.

  • In this paper, an adaptive fuzzy logic controller is presented for auto-tunning of the scaling factors by using learning capability of neural networks. The proposed scheme consists of the FLC which includes the PI-type FLC and PD-type FLC in parallel form and the neural network which learns scale factors of FLC. Computer simulations were performed to illustrate the effectiveness of a proposed scheme. A proposed FLC controller was applied to the second order system and velocity control of the brushless DC motors. For the design of the FLC, tracking error, change of error, and acceleration error are selected as input variables of the FLC and three seal e factors were used in the parallel-type FLC. This scheme can be used to reduce the difficulty in the selection of the scale factors.

  • Laser material processing is a very fast advancing technology for various industrial applications. because of many advantages. Its major advantage of less and controlled heat input has been exploited successfully for the very critical application of aluminium alloy welding. This study suggested the occurrence source of weld-defects and its solution methods in a welding of lithium ion battery by pulsed Nd:YAG laser. In experiment. battery case has changed over joint geometry from welding of side position to flat one. In the case of a electrolyte injection hole in order to seal it. welding is carried out after pressing Al ball. At this time. an eccentric degree. contact length and gap are worked as a major parameters. As improving the method of Al ball pressing. it was able to reduce an eccentricity. increase the contact length and decrease gap. As a results of a experiment. a sound weld bead shape and crack-free weld bead can be obtained.
