도라지 재배지역 및 재배년수에 따른 토양의 화학적 특성변화 (Change of Soil Chemical Properties according to Cultivation Area and Cultural Year for Platycodon grandiflorum)

  • The study result survey platycodon cultivation regions of Jinju(2), Sacheon(4), Hapcheon(3), Haman(3), and Sancheong(3) of Gyongnam regarding chemical properties of soil, inorganic nitrogen phosphorus by type of composition is as follows: pH and EC value were highest where platycodon cultivated for under 3 years in soils. Content of O.M equal to or less than 25 mg $kg^{-1}$, the average value for platycodoncultivation in korea. Content of exchangeable calcium in soils were 12, 14 $cmol^+kg^{-1}$ in Hapcheon and Haman regions where platycodon was cultivated for two years which is 2~3 time higher level compared with the average upland soil of korea. Water solution boron confirmed approximated level of 3.0 mg $kg^{-1}$ in all survey regions, and the finding is about five times higher than average upland soil of korea which is 0.5 mg $kg^{-1}$. In the case of nitrogen, a significant difference was found depending on cultivation regions and continuous culture. Content of nitrogen in soils were difference according to cultivation area and continuous culture. The composition ratio according to the type of inorganic phosphorus showed the highest in order of Al-P > Ca-P > Fe-P > Saloid-P in all survey regions except for Hapcheon (five, seven years cultivated soils). The correlation showed high significance between available phosphate and inorganic phosphorus.

Solution-processible Inorganic-organic Hybrid Bipolar Field Effect Transistors

  • Solution-processible hybrid bipolar field effect transistors (HBFETs) with balanced hole and electron mobilities were fabricated using a combination of the organic p-type poly (3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) layer and inorganic n-type ZnO material. The hole and electron mobilities were first optimized in single layer devices by using acetonitrile as a solvent additive to process the P3HT and annealing to process the ZnO layer. The highest hole mobility of the P3HT-only-devices with 5% acetonitrile was 0.15 cm2V-1s-1, while the largest electron mobility was observed in the ZnO-only-devices annealed at $200^{\circ}C$ and found to be $7.2{\times}10-2cm2V-1s-1$. The inorganic-organic HBFETs consisting of P3HT with 5% acetonitrile and ZnO layer annealed at $200^{\circ}C$ exhibited balanced hole and electron mobilities of $4.0{\times}10-2$ and $3.9{\times}10-2cm2V-1s-1$, respectively. The effect on surface morphology and crystallinity by adding acetonitrile and thermal annealing were investigated through X-ray diffraction and atomic force microscopy (AFM). Our findings indicate that techniques demonstrated herein are of great utility in improving the performance of inorganic-organic hybrid devices

Calocybe indica의 배양적 특성과 균사 배양 적합 조건 설정 (Culture Characteristics and Optimal Conditions for Mycelial Growth of Calocybe indica)

  • 본 연구에서는C. indica 자실체의 안정적인 대량생산에 기반이 되는 필수적인 균사체 생산을 위한 최적 배양조건을 구명 하고자하였다. C. indica 균사체의 효율적 배양을 위한 조건은 최적 배양 온도 30-32℃, pH 6.0, 탄소원 maltose 2%, 유기질소원 yeast extract 1%, 무기질소원 NaNO3 0.1%, 아미노산 asparagine 0.7%, 유기산 acetic acid 0.1%, 무기염류 MnSO4 0.7 mM가 최적 배양조건 이었다. 새로이 MYNA로 명명한 C. indica의 최적 배지는 기존의 PDA 배지보다 균사의 생장이 균일하고, PDA 배지의 배양기간과 비교하였을 때 10.5% 단축하는 효과가 있었다. MYNA 배지는 추후 C. indica의 재배에 널리 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

The Digestibility of Organic Trace Minerals along the Small Intestine in Broiler Chickens

  • An experiment was conducted to evaluate the effects of low concentrations of organic and inorganic dietary trace minerals on broiler performance and trace mineral digestibility along the small intestine of 35-day-old broiler chickens reared under floor-pen conditions. Eight hundred male, day-old Cobb broiler chickens were randomly allocated to 4 dietary treatments (25 birds per pen with 8 replicates per treatment). Broilers fed diets supplemented with 4, 20, 40 and 30 mg/kg, respectively, of Cu, Fe, Mn and Zn from organic chelates and inorganic salts achieved the same body weight gain as those supplemented at the NRC levels (8 mg Cu, 40 mg Fe, 60 mg Mn and 40 mg Zn/kg, respectively) from inorganic salts. However, birds fed a control diet without any supplementation at dietary levels of 7.4-8.8, 60.1-69.2, 14.6-15.4 and 19.1-20.6 mg/kg of Cu, Fe, Mn and Zn, respectively, had decreased feed intake and growth rate. There was no significant difference in the digestibility of Cu in all regions of the small intestine. Throughout the small intestine the apparent absorption of Mn from both organic and inorganic sources was small, whereas the digestibility of Zn seemed to be more complex, exhibiting differences in the apparent absorption due to both mineral source and intestinal site. Therefore, the digestibility of organic Zn was improved (p<0.01) in the ileum compared to inorganic Zn. The digestibility of Zn in the duodenum was smaller (p<0.05) than that in the ileum.

The Effects of Replacing Inorganic with a Lower Level of Organically Complexed Minerals (Cu, Zn and Mn) in Broiler Diets on Lipid Peroxidation and Antioxidant Defense Systems

  • In this study, the effects of replacing inorganic copper, zinc and manganese with different levels of organic complexes of the same trace minerals on the lipid peroxidation and antioxidant defense systems in broilers were investigated. Two-hundred Ross-308 one-day-old broiler chickens were placed on controlled diets until 42 d of age. The experimental animals were divided into four groups comprising three experimental groups and one control group, each consisting of 50 chickens. All groups were also divided into five subgroups each containing 10 broiler chicks. The mineral content of the control group diet was controlled using a standard inorganic mineral premix with supplement levels and sources of trace minerals typical of commercial broiler diets according to the National Research Council (NRC) (containing 8 mg Cu as $CuSO_4$, 40 mg Zn as $ZnSO_4$, and 60 mg Mn as MnO, per kg). In the experimental diets, mineral premix was also comprised of inorganic formulations, except for those of Cu, Zn and Mn. Organically-complexed Cu, Zn, and Mn were separately added to the basal diet at 1/3 (L1), 2/3 (L2) and 3/3 (L3) levels with respect to the NRC recommendation, as Bioplex $Cu^{TM}$, Bioplex $Zn^{TM}$, Bioplex $Mn^{TM}$. At the end of the trial, the plasma Zn level significantly increased when the plasma Cu level significantly decreased (p<0.05) in chickens fed at 2/3 and 3/3 levels of organically complexed minerals. The liver trace mineral concentrations were significantly higher in chickens fed inorganic trace minerals in comparison to those fed organically-complexed minerals. The plasma malondialdehyde (MDA) level of experimental chickens was decreased in groups receiving levels of organic Cu, Zn and Mn in comparison to those fed inorganic forms (p<0.01). The erythrocyte superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity was higher in all groups receiving the organic mineral supplements in comparison to those fed inorganic forms (p<0.01). No differences were observed on either the erythrocyte catalase (CAT) activity or the plasma ceruloplasmin (Cp) levels, and the liver MDA levels and liver CAT and SOD activities in any of the groups that received the organic supplements of Cu, Zn, and Mn. It was concluded that supplementation of lower levels of organically-complexed copper, zinc, and manganese instead of their inorganic forms in diets had no negative effects on the antioxidant defense system in broilers.

병원폐수의 전기화학적 처리시 무기응집제 주입 효과에 관한 연구 (Effect of Inorganic Coagulants on the Performance of Electro-Chemical Treatment Process Treating Hospital Wastewater)

  • 전해질 농도가 낮은 병원폐수를 전기화학적으로 처리할 경우 무기응집제 주입 효과에 대해 고찰한 결과, 무기응집제 주입으로 전해질 농도가 높아져 병원폐수 내 유리염소의 농도의 증가로 유기물질의 간접산화효과가 증가하여 전류밀도 $1.76A/dm^2$, 반응시간 120분에서 무기응집제를 주입하지 않은 경우보다 COD 제거효율이 약 2배 향상되었다. 또한, 무기응집제에 의한 전해질의 증가로 HOCl과 같은 유리 잔류염소의 증가로 병원폐수 내의 클로라민이 질소로 전환되는 속도가 증가함에 따라 전류밀도 $1.76A/dm^2$, 반응시간 120분 및 응집제 주입량 700 ppm에서 T-N 제거율을 약 2배 향상시킬 수 있었다. 동일 조건에서 90% 이상의 높은 T-P 제거율을 얻을 수 있었는데, 이는 무기응집제에 의한 전해질의 증가로 양전극에서의 발생되는 용존산소에 의해 생성된 불용성 금속 화합물과 인산염의 화학적 흡착반응 속도가 증가하였기 때문인 것으로 판단된다. 이상의 실험에서 전해질이 부족한 병원폐수의 전기화학적 처리시 무기응집제를 전해질로 첨가할 경우 유기물질 및 영양염 제거에 모두 매우 효과적임을 알 수 있었다.

  • 담수처리(湛水處理)에 의한 토양(土壤)의 환원(還元)이 토양(土壤)중 인산(燐酸) 및 철화합물(鐵化合物)의 형태변화(形態變化)와 인산(燐酸) 흡착량(吸着量)과의 관계(關係)에 어떠한 영향(影響)을 미치는지를 검토(檢討)하기 위하여 논으로 이용(利用)되어온 강서통(江西統), 밭으로 이용(利用)되어온 중동통(中東統), 및 미경작지(未耕作地)인 예산통(禮山統)을 공시토양(供試土壤)으로 하여 $28^{\circ}C$에서 17일간 담수처리후(湛水處理後) 무기태(無機態) 인산(燐酸) 및 철산화물(鐵酸化物)의 분별정량(分別定量)을 실시(實施)하였다. 얻어진 결과(結果)를 요약(要約)하면 다음과 같다. 1. 담수처리(湛水處理)에 의하여 토양(土壤)의 Bray 1-P의 함량(含量)은 강서통(江西統)은 53mgP/kg에서 48mgP/kg으로, 예산통(禮山統)은 3mgP/kg에서 1mgP/kg으로, 중동통(中東統)은 120mgP/kg에서 56mgP/kg으로 감소(減少)하였다. 2. 새로 흡착(吸着)된 인산(燐酸)의 주(主) 형태(形態)는 $NH_4F-P$이었으며, 토양(土壤)중 토양(土壤)의 함량(含量)이 높은 중동통(中東統)의 경우에는 담수처리(湛水處理)에 의하여 $NH_4F-P$가 NaOH-P로 전환(轉換)되었다. 3. 강서통(江西統)과 중동통(中東統)은 담수처리(湛水處理)에 의하여 철산화물(鐵酸化物)의 형태(形態) 변화(變化)가 거의 없었으나, 예산통(禮山統)에서는 담수처리(湛水處理)에 의하여 dithionite-citrate-bicarbonate 침출(浸出) Fe의 대부분이 oxalate침출(浸出) Fe로 전환(轉換)되었다.

  • 채취시기(採取時期)에 따른 수세미오이(Luffa cylindrica L.) 수액(樹液)의 몇가지 물리적 특성(特性)과 무기성분 함량(含量)을 조사하였다. 온실(溫室)(green house)과 노지(露地)(open culturing)에서 재배한 수세미오이의 줄기로 부터 수액(樹液)을 시기별로 채취(採取)하여 분석(分析)한 결과 명도(L), 적도(a), 황색도(b), pH 및 탁도는 시료간에 별 차이가 없었다. pH는 전체적으로 약알칼리성을 나타내었고 재배기간이 경과함에 따라 약간씩 감소(減少)하는 경향(傾向)이었다. 무기성분은 총 8개 항목을 조사한 결과(結果) K, Ca, Mg이 주요성분(主要成分)이었으며, Na, Zn, Fe는 미량(微量)함유되어 있었다. Cu는 노지재배에서는 검출(檢出)되지 않았으며 Mn은 모든 시료에서 검출되지 않았다.

Pressure and Temperature Control and HPHT Diamond Synthesis Using FB25 Type Belt Apparatus

  • Flat belt(FB) type high pressure apparatus has been succesfully utilized in various high pressure experimental stations in Korea and Japan to conduct HPHT (high pressure and high temperature) diamond synthesis. Present paper discusses pressure calibration of FB apparatus at high temperature to establish P-T condition of diamond synthesis. We also present some examples of controling P-T condition through careful experimental set-up of the high pressure sample cells. Finally we discuss reproducibility of pressure and temperature condition of the HPHT diamond synthesis.
