This paper focuses on the relationship between innovation and export performance of technology-based firms in Korea. This study analyses the relationship between innovative activity and firm's performances using a sample of 760 technology-based firms in Korea. As for the firm's performance indicators, export is employed. The empirical results support that innovation has a positive effect on firm's export performance. However, for small and medium firms, the relationship between innovative activity and export performance is an U-shape quadratic form, which shows that small firms takes a minimum innovative expenditure in order to access the abroad market. Also, with product differentiation, innovative firms tends to devot more to domestic market than to abroad market. Therefore, it can be concluded that innovative activity builds market power and accelerates export performance. And product differentiation through advertising expenditure make innovative firms less exporting.
This study explores the influence of Taiwan's high-tech manufacturers' innovative strategy and innovation motivation concerning the implementation of innovative activities, as well as the influence of innovative activities implementation on business performance. The two intermediate variables, industry group and enterprise scale are also considered. Through a review of the relevant literature, a theoretical model of the influence relationship is developed, while an empirical analysis is simultaneously conducted on Taiwan's high-tech manufacturers. The research result shows that the internal driving force of innovative activities has a significant impact on the level of implementing technological innovative activities and cultural innovative activities. The external driving force of innovative activities has a significant impact on the level of implementing market innovative activities and management innovative activities. Companies adopting self-developed technology and purchased as well as self-developed technology strategies, perform better than those adopting purchased new technology or those with neither purchased nor self-developed technology strategies, at implementing technological innovative activities and cultural innovative activities. The level of implementing innovative activities has a significant influence on business performance (cost reduction and product/service differentiation). For the intermediate variables of "industry group" and "enterprise scale", it is proven in this study that they have no significant influence on the level of innovative activity implementation or business performance.
Despite the important role of the transformational leadership and Creative Climate to achieve firms' sustainable competitive advantage, there has been limited empirical studies linking the transformational leadership and creative climate in employee's innovative performance. This study investigated the impact of transformational leadership on innovative performance based on employees of R&D department in IT services. This paper also investigated the mediating role of creative climate and moderating role of employee's innovative tendency in this relationship. Main findings of our empirical analysis are as follows. While the relationships between transformational leadership and innovative performance was positively associated, creative climate had positive effect on innovative performance. As expected, we also found that the creative climate had positively mediated the relationship between transformational leadership and innovative performance. Also, the innovative tendency has statistically significant moderating effect on this relationship. Based on the findings, we have suggested theoretical and practical implications while future research directions with limitations of the research are discussed.

The research subject is Tourism Industry SMEs. Explanatory research is a research method used in this study, by surveying respondents. The data sources in this research are primary and secondary. Primary data is collected from respondents directly through a questionnaire whereas secondary data are obtained from references that are relevant to research problems. In conformity with this explanation, the type of research data is quantitative data. The results of this research show that: innovative culture has an effect on individual performance, quality of work life affects individual performance, innovative culture has an effect on competitive advantage, quality of work life affects competitive advantage, individual performance has an effect on competitive advantage, innovative culture affects competitive advantage with the mediation of individual performance, and quality of work life affects competitive advantage with the mediation of individual performance.
While many previous studies have emphasized that technological and learning capabilities have an important impact on internationalization, however, there have been few attempts to directly identify the mediating role of innovative performance in the relationship between them. Therefore, we tested the relationships among two organizational capabilities such as technological capability and learning capability, innovative performance and internationalization. Specifically, we explored the impact of two organizational capabilities on innovative performance and the mediating role of innovative performance on internationalization. We tested hypotheses based on 206 survey data of Gwangju and Jeonnam provinces' small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The empirical results showed that both technological capability and learning capability had a significantly positive (+) effect on SMEs' innovation performance, and both technological capability and learning capability had a significantly positive (+) effect on internationalization performance. In addition, it was confirmed that the innovation performance is not only related to the relationship between technological capability and internationalization performance but also acts as a partial mediation role in the relationship between the learning capability and internationalization performance. Based on the results of this study, theoretical and practical implications were provided, and the limitations of this study and future research directions were also discussed.

This study empirically investigated cultural differences in the amount of information provided by management accounting information systems as well as the differences in organizational performance according to variations in the amount of information. Through cluster analysis, we classified sample firms into five organizational cultural types: Semi-innovative, innovative, bureaucratic, semi-bureaucratic and supportive. The results showed that in the semi-innovative firms, a greater amount of the traditional and advanced types of information is produced, while in bureaucratic firms, traditional information is much more provided than in the innovative, semi-bureaucratic and supportive firms. These results confirmed cultural differences in the amount of information produced. According to the results of this study, it was found that in organizational performance, the rankings of semi-innovative firms, which have the highest scores in the amount of information, are also the highest, and the performance scores in innovative firms are generally next to those of semi-innovative firms. Hence, it is concluded that there are cultural differences in the amount of information provided, and these differences affect organizational performance.

Research design, data and methodology: The study adopted a desktop research methodology. Extensive literature review has been conducted from various sources such as journals, research papers, organizational reports, government reports, media reports and articles available on web and effort has been made to assimilate the knowledge body on the topic in the current paper. Literature that enhances understanding on managing performance during VUCA times was reviewed. Results: Solutions to optimise performance management in organisations during VUCA times were proffered and these include innovative planning, innovative monitoring, innovative training and development, innovative rating and innovative rewarding. Conclusions: The study proves that, performance management process should not be done the ordinary way during VUCA times, but innovatively. In this regard innovative performance management can optimise performance of organisations during VUCA period. The study recommends that a further quantitative study be done to test the suitability of each of the proposed ways of innovatively practicing each element of the performance management process across different industries, countries or sector.
Previous studies have focused on individual and organizational learning. Amid an increasingly complex business environment, a team system designed to improve flexibility and adaptability constitutes the most basic part of an organization. Still, team learning has rarely been discussed. In addition, team learning behavior, despite being an important part of a team process, is often mentioned as a team-level outcome variable. Given that team learning behavior involves constant changes in thinking and behavior, a shared belief among team members is needed in order to positively influence innovative performance of a team. In spite of that, there has been only limited discussion of it. Besides, few domestic studies have dealt with R&D teams that can clearly demonstrate team learning behavior and team innovative performance. This study is an empirical analysis of the impact of team efficacy on team innovative performance and the mediating role of team learning behavior based on materials collected from team leaders and their immediate subordinates in 268 R&D teams. The analysis showed that team learning behavior actually has a positive effect on team innovative performance. Team efficacy also turned out to have a positive influence on team learning behavior. Lastly, the study found that team learning behavior played a mediating role in the relationship between team efficacy and team innovative performance. Based on those results, the study has identified implications and suggested directions for future research.
