  • The main objective of this study is to identify and analyze the factors affecting technology innovation of the innovative IT SMEs. A research model is established based on the previous studies on the technology innovation of SMEs. The model consists of independent variables (Adhocracy culture, R&D capability, IT capability, Leadership, and Appraisal & Reward), an intermediate variable (Knowledge management), and dependent variables (product/service innovation and process innovation). Major research results can be summarized as follows: IT SMEs pursuing technology innovation should: (1) pay attention to innovation oriented culture, IT capability, and evaluation & compensation systems of the company; (2) recognize that knowledge management is an essential activity performed by the company; (3) strengthen the R&D capabilities of the company by not only exerting internal efforts but establishing cooperative network with various parties; and (4) resolve the decoupling problem of the evaluation & compensation system.

  • Even though current firms achieve organizational innovation with diverse workforce, previous studies on the relationship between workforce diversity and firm innovation revealed mixed results. To explain these inconsistent findings, this study examines the contradictory aspects of diversity, and divides innovative performance as exploitative and exploratory innovation. In particular, the main focus of this study is age diversity and firm innovation, since most Korean firms suffer from inter-generational conflicts. In addition, this study explores the moderating role of cohesive and innovative culture as the strong norms within the organization. The HCCP data was used to test these hypotheses. As predicted, age diversity negatively influences exploitative innovation, and positively affects exploratory innovation. However, the moderating role of cohesive culture was not statistically significant. Conversely, innovative culture strengthens the positive relationship between them.

  • Recently, in Korea, the number of unemployed people who have lost their jobs involuntarily due to closure of workplaces, layoffs, and poor management stood at 788,000 in October 21, an increase of 44,000 from last August (Statistics Office, 2021). The average retiring age of workers is 49.7, so regardless of their intention, they often end up retiring early unavoidably. Meanwhile, it has been found that eight out of ten workers have startup intention; therefore, now their startup is regarded to be essential, not selective. The purpose of this study is to investigate if workers' entrepreneurial orientation, continuous learning, satisfaction with remuneration, and employment prospect are correlated with entrepreneurial intention and examine if innovative behavior mediates the relations. To sum up the results, first, innovativeness and risk sensitivity in entrepreneurship are found to have positive effects on workers' entrepreneurial intention. Restless challenges and innovative thinking at work are crucial variables to enhance entrepreneurial intention. Second, satisfaction with remuneration influences entrepreneurial intention positive effects, and continuous learning and employment prospect, too, have positive effects on entrepreneurial intention. As employment instability is increasing at work due to the rapidly changing corporate environment, Considering whether the current organization will strive for survival or prepare to start a business for sustainable economic activity, it is judged that there is a willingness to start a business for better compensation even if the satisfaction of compensation is high. In addition, it was confirmed that the possibility of employability with the career desired by the organization as well as the securing of practical competency and expertise through continuous learning are important variables in increasing the will to start a business. Third, relations between entrepreneurial orientation, satisfaction with remuneration, continuous learning, employment prospect, and entrepreneurial intention are found to be mediated by innovative behavior; however, its mediative effect in relations between innovativeness, risk sensitivity, and entrepreneurial intention in entrepreneurship is dismissed. Innovative behavior at work are found to be major variables to elevate entrepreneurial intention in relations between continuous learning, employment prospect, and satisfaction with remuneration.

  • We meet many difficult challenges from many factors such as crime, natural disasters, social unrest, financial problems, employment, and so on. It therefore essential to cope with these negative stressful events to attain a state of personal well-being. Lately in the field of psychology and psychiatry, a concept called 'resilience' has received increasing attention. Resilience embodies the personal qualities that enable one to thrive in the face of adversity. Also it refers to the process of overcoming the negative effect of risk exposure, coping successfully with adversity, and avoiding the negative trajectories associated with risks. Resilience people were expected to do their innovative work behavior well. And SUS(supervisor support), COS(coworker support), OEMC(organizational error management culture) influence the relationship of resilience between Innovative Behavior. This study focused on three question. First, how is resilience relate to individual performance in the organization? And second, are there any moderate factors between resilience and individual performance. As the result of the hierarchical regression analysis, resilience indicates positive effects on IB and IB was predicted by interaction of resilience by SUS and OEMC. Findings in this study indicated that the level of SUS and OEMC should be considered in interpreting the resilience and Innovative Behavior.

  • This work verifies the effect of Job Crafting on organizational commitment through innovative actions, and analyzes the regulatory effect, by setting up knowledge sharing among members as factors that promote Job Crafting and Innovative Action. Depending on the level of knowledge sharing, the indirect effects of Job Crafting from organizational commitment of the members through innovative actions are expected to vary, and the controlled mediated effects are analyzed. Totally, 463 individuals were surveyed, including start-ups, small and medium-sized enterprises, public institutions, and large enterprise workers. The hypothesis was subsequently verified through analysis by applying SPSS 18.0 and SPSS Process Macro. Our results reveal that Job Crafting has a positive impact on the innovation behavior of the members. Secondly, a higher level of knowledge sharing had a greater positive outcome in the member's innovation behavior. Third, all innovative actions positively impacted the organizational commitment of the members. The fourth notable point was that innovation behavior imparted only a moderate impact on the association between Job Crafting and Organizational Commitment. Finally, it was determined that there was no significance in the controlled mediated effect of knowledge sharing on the indirect effects of Job Crafting affecting organizational commitment through innovative actions. Based on the data verifying the hypothesis, we present here the theoretical and practical implications of this study.

  • The results(Boje et al. 2004) suggest that corporate image is severely damaged due to arrogance and a sense of power among some of the executives. With the advent of the MZ generation, the humility of leaders who lead the organization becomes more and more important(Morris et al. 2005; Vera, Rodriguez-Lopez, 2004; Owens et al. 2013). This paper tried to empirically analyze the mediating effect of emotional regulation in the relationship between humble leadership, voice behavior, and innovative behavior. To this end, a survey was conducted from November to December 2021 for corporate employees in Busan, Gyeongnam, and Gyeongbuk, and was empirically analyzed through the results of a total of 145 surveys. As a result, it was verified that humble leadership had a positive(+) effect on voice behavior and innovative behavior, and the mediating effect of emotional regulation in the relationship between humble leadership and voice behavior and innovative behavior was also verified. Through this, this study expanded the scope of research by newly illuminating the relationship between humble leadership and emotional regulation, which are the core competencies of leaders, and revealing the causal relationship. In future research, we intend to explore the relationship between humble leadership and various variables and to investigate the relationship through various research methods.

  • This study aims to investigate the impact of hotel marketing agility on employee job crafting and service innovative behavior in the context of the uncertainties faced by the Korean hotel industry amidst a rapidly changing business environment. In the post-COVID era, hotel companies need to quickly detect market trends and respond flexibly to secure a competitive advantage and promote sustainable growth. Given the high proportion of face-to-face services in the hotel industry, marketing agility is emerging as a core competency to effectively cope with changing customer demands and market dynamics. However, an organization's agile marketing capabilities only take on true meaning when frontline employees voluntarily redesign their jobs and lead service process innovations. In this regard, job crafting, which refers to employees' active redefinition and modification of their job boundaries, can serve as a link between organizational agility and individual innovative behavior. By empirically analyzing the structural relationship between marketing agility, job crafting, and service innovative behavior in the hotel context, this study applies the concept of agility to the field of human resource management and provides new insights into the antecedents and outcomes of job crafting. The results show that hotel responsiveness has a significant positive impact on all three dimensions of job crafting. In the case of speed and flexibility, they had a significant positive effect on task and relational crafting, but the effect of speed on cognitive crafting was not significant. The implications of the study suggest that hotels' rapid decision-making and execution may actually constrain employees' cognitive crafting activities, such as reflecting on and reinterpreting the meaning and identity of their work. Furthermore, it is expected to provide meaningful insights for hotel managers facing environmental upheavals to seek practical measures to enhance agility and innovativeness.

  • Creativity, entrepreneurship, and technological innovation orientation are key factors for technological innovation. The main driver of technological innovation in the enterprise is the executives of the firm. According to the Upper Echelons Theory of D.C. Hambrick(2007), the creativity of the managerial individual will be put into various aspects within the organization's innovation system. The organizational innovation system is positively influenced by the creativity of the executives, and is achieved by manifesting innovation orientation and technological innovation orientation with innovative performances. The purpose of this study is to investigate using Structural Equation Modeling(SEM), whether individual creativity of executives of 132 companies with research organizations among domestic semiconductor companies in Korea influences innovation performance of firms through entrepreneurship orientation and technology innovation orientation. We applied the personal creativity level measurement index, the entrepreneurial orientation measurement factor, and the technology innovation orientation measurement factor identified in the previous research literature. The results of the Structural Equation Modeling analysis show that the creativity of executives have a positive (+) relationship with the innovation performance of firms when they are only mediated by technological innovation orientation, and entrepreneurial orientation. On the other hand, the results of the SEM shows the direct effects between the creativity of executives and innovation performance are not statistically valid. As a result, the individual creativity of executives who lead the innovation of the firm, entrepreneurial orientation, and technological innovation orientation of the researcher organization are very important factors and an inseparable relationship for the successful innovation of the firms.
