부산지역에서의 대기흐름과 관련된 $SO_2$농도 3차원 수치모의 (A Three Dimensional Numerical Simulation of $SO_2$ Concentration in Relation with Atmospheric Flow in Pusan Area, Korea)

  • The Characteristics of atmospheric flow and dispersion of air pollutants in the mountainous coastal area were studied using three-dimensional model by the combination of land/sea breezes and transport. It was then applied to Pusan city. As the urban area considered In this study is located in a mountainous coastal area, the atmospheric flow is strongly affected by the land/sea breezes and mountain/valley winds. The typical effects of land/sea breezes on the dispersion and the characteristics of pollutants movement in the region were analysed. The model has been proved to be an useful tool to prodict real time air pollutants transport as shown by the results of application studies In Pusan, Korea which Is an urbanized coastal area with mountainous topography. It was found that the pollutants are differently transported and concentrated as going Inland by the Influence of the sea breeze with topographic changes. By comparing the pollutants concentrations of the stimulated results with those of the observational results, It is shown that stimulated results in this study are in qualitative agreement with observational ones.

항내 예선의 적정규모 결정에 관하여 (On Determining the Optimal Amount of Barbour Tagboat)

  • As port transport system consists of subsystems such as navigation system, cargo handling system, storage system, inland transport system, and Management and Information system, the productivity of this system is determined by the minimum level of subsystem. From the viewpoint of elaborating the efficiency of integrated system, it is valuable to determine the optimal level of harbour tug boat which is the most important factor of navigation system. This paper treats the optimal amount of harbour tug boat by simulation, and applied to Pusan port. In the course of simulation, an emperical formula is introduced for determining the Horse Power (HP) of tug boat by the ship's gross tonnage (G/T) refering to the cases of various ports of other countries, that is ; $Y=9.96X^{0.6}+569$. X : The gross tonnage of vessel (G/T). Y : The Horse Power (HP) of tug boat. The results of the simulation are summarized as follows ; 1) In 1987, three or four low-powered harbour tug boats, five mid-powered harbour tug boats and four high-powered harbour tug boats are necessary in the mean level. But, five or seven low-powered harbour tug boats, ten mid-powered harbour tug boats and eight high-powered harbour tug boats are necessary lest delay should occur at all. 2) In 1992, 1lee or four low-powered harbour tug boats, six mid-powered harbour tug boats and seven high-powered harbour tug boats are estimated and be necessary in the mean level.

국내 지역별 도로운송네트워크가 지역경제에 미치는 영향: SNA 및 공간패널회귀모형의 적용 (A Study on Road Transport Network And Economy effect in Korea: Application of SNA and Spatial Panel Regression)

  • This study analyzes the effects of road transportation networks on the local economy in korea. The analysis methods are SNA and spatial panel regression model. The subjects of this study are inland areas of Korea, and the research period is from 2010 to 2019. The network analysis showed that the connection centrality of Gyeongg-do was high internally and externally. Gyeonggi-do has played a central role in the domestic road freight transportation industry. The results of spatial panel regression analysis showed that there was economic competition between regions. Domestic road transportation industry has been competitive among regions and has economic ripple effect. And Internal cargo has been shown to boost the economy of the region. But internal cargo has been shown to lower the economy of surrounding regions, but external cargo has been shown to increase the economy. In order to revitalize the local economy, it is necessary to increase road cargo.

부산 연안역에서의 국지풍모델을 이용한 이류확산 수치모의 (Numerical Simulation of Advection and Diffusion using the Local Wind Model in Pusan Coastal Area, Korea)

  • The two-stage numerical model was used to study the relation between three-dimensional local wind model, advection/diffusion model of random walk method and second moment method on Pusan coastal area. The first stage is three dimensional time-dependent local wind model which gives the wind field and vertical dirrusion coefficient. The second stage is advection/diffusion model which uses the results of the first stage as input data. First, wind fields on Pusan coastal area for none synoptic scale wind showed typical land and sea breeze circulation, and convergence zone occured at 1200LST in northern of domain, in succession, moved northward of domain. Emissions from Sinpyeong industrial district were trasnported toward the inland by sea breeze during daytime, and reached the end part of domain about 1800LST. During nighttime, emissions return to sea by land breeze and vertical diffusion also contributes to upward transport. In order to use this model for forecast of air pollution concentration on the Pusan coastal area, it is necessary that computed value must be compared with measured value and wind fields model must also be dealt in detail.

  • To revitalize the trucking market, many studies are being done but it still has a lot of problems such as imbalance between supply and demand, poor profit structure of truck owners, ect. Therefore, it aims to study what kinds of prerequisite are needed to solve these problems through analyzing system structure and mechanism of the market. To achieve it, System Dynamics methodology, appropriate to make a simulation model and analyze dynamics of the system, is utilized. To obtain an empirical research point of view, time series data related on trucking market-provided by The Korea Transport Institute-are used. In addition, interview with a local representative logistics company and a ICD(Inland Container Depot) operation company is performed to find out technical and functional supporting factors to solve the existing problems in the market.

선박배출 오염물질의 영향을 고려한 부산지역 대기질 모델의 개발 (The Development of Air Quality Model Considering Shipping Source in Pusan Region)

  • Air quality modeling about coastal urban region such as Pusan shoud be consider shipping source emmited from ships anchoraging and running. It has been proved at our previous studies that the ratios of air pollutants emission amount in coastal area to inland are 12.2% for NO$_2$ and 11.7% for $SO_2$ and the air qualify of coastal urban area consierably counts on ships. Also the dispersion pattern of the all pollutants followed local circulation system in this region. Therefore this study has been developed air quality model which can describe the formation, transport, transformation and deposition processes of air pollutants considering shipping source. Currently, restriction for emission amount of ships does not exist, so our study will be useful to set the omission standard and for devising air quality policy in coastal urban region.

  • With development of Asia's economy, the ports in trunk route have increased its handling capacity According to previous studies, main determinants to become hub-port are referred to location, connection inland transport with hinterland, port service availability and efficiency, cost of port handling, socio-economic stability and port information system etc. This study aims to investigate the changes in factors determine port's competitiveness particularly in Asian neighbor ports such as Hong Kong port and Shenzen port, and Singapore port and the Port of Tanjung Pelapas in Malaysia by comparing and analyzing main indicators relating to those ports. In conclusion, main reasons which gained competitiveness by newly developed ports such as Shenzen port and the Port of Tanjung Pelapas were port price and massive hinterland space offered.

  • At the present day, the use of containers crisscrossing seven seas and intercontinental transport has significantly increased and bringing the change on the shape of the world economy which we cannot be neglected. Additionally, with the recent technological advances in wireless sensor network (WSN) technologies, has providing an economically feasible monitoring solution to diverse application that allow us to envision the intelligent containers represent the next evolutionary development step in order to increase the efficiency, productivity, utilities, security and safe of containerized cargo shipping. This paper we present a comprehensive containerized cargo monitoring system which has adaptively embedded WSN technology into cargo logistic technology. We share the basic requirement for an autonomous logistic network that could provide optimum performance and a suite of algorithms for self-organization and bi-directional communication of a scalable large number of sensor node apply on container regardless inland and maritime transportation.

  • Maritime transport is dominant in the overall volume of all international transportation. Existence and overcoming of problems, which cause pressure on shipping safety, remain actual and fully concern both maritime and inland transport. Increasing speed and cargo capacity of the ships along with the reduction of crew members lead to the automation of a growing number of work processes, which indicates the need to actively introduce appropriate measures in the security system of sea-going ships and commercial ports and to develop modern approaches to minimize negative events and incidents in the process of ship operation. Advantages in use of modern methods of monitoring the safety of ship operations, management of possible events and incidents, including investigation of accidents, first, aimed at prevention of negative occurrences and ways of prevention on this basis. Considering statistics on incidents increase, this work presents analysis of general ship accident rate, study of major accidental events growth annually, and investigation of causes of incidents, which most frequently occur in port waters and at open sea. A survey of current approaches to ensuring the safety of shipping by implementing effective tools, such as event and incident management, has been conducted.
